    Just talked to you about scopes in the Nissan chat the other day 😆 a cool “ball park rule of thumb” is 1 amp equals about 10 psi. I think I read it from Denso or walboro or someone’s company site. Also you can calculate rpms if you find the formula. Most hood pumps are at 5k rpms or above.

    Good video, my 2013 2.5s altima is not starting at all it cranks and sounds like it wants to start but does not do you recommend the pump as well?

    • @Autofixpals
      @Autofixpals  5 років тому

      No. i recommend you diagnosie it to be certain or tow it to someplace to diagnose it. I believe a Fuel pump from nissan is about 500 dollars. If your wrong about it being a pump you cant return it.... Spray some starter fluid in the intake and see if it fires up. If it does than its POSSIBLE that you have a bad fuel pump, but not 100%. it give you direction though.

    What's up bro!
    Please do a review of the micsig I'm trying to get it. That amp clamp as well

    • @Autofixpals
      @Autofixpals  5 років тому

      You got it bro. Don;t know when but i will do it for you. The amp clamp is okay for anything i would say over 200ma less than that and the accuracy is not so great (wouldnt trust it to do a current draw test) There may be better options as far as amp clamps go. But I do enjoy the micsig. The battery life on the micsig is fantastic and it has some nice features.

    Question, I know we shouldn't say all, but do most nissan AF Sensors that are reading stoichiometric display 2.4 VDC. Like Toyota AF Sensors display 3.3 VDC at stoichiometric ratio.

    • @Autofixpals
      @Autofixpals  5 років тому

      Actually the readings on scan tools are translated data. The computer is reading the amperage (very low) it takes to keep the nerst cell happy so to speak. I don't fully understand it myself. But when I diag AF sensors I'm basically looking for response times to richening and leaning. However I believe some years stoich is around 2.1 I believe I'll verify this tomorrow some older years its different.

    GREAT VIDEO BRO , I WORK ON A LOT OF NISSANS AND ENEY GREAT HELP YOU CAN GET IS VERY APPRECIATED THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND PLEASE KEEP UP THE OUTSTANDING WORK ! PS JUST WONDERING DO YOU SEE MUCH NISSANS WITH CODE P17F0 AND THANKS AGAIN ?

    • @Autofixpals
      @Autofixpals  5 років тому +1

      Yes P17f0 is a DTC that is set when the CVT has Juddering issues. Basically under warranty it Gets a Sub assembly (pulleys , belts, or chains and a valve body) If its out of warranty You would be best served to just get a new CVT. Keep in mind that the P17f0 DTC will not clear unless you write ip characteristics using the Disc that is supplied with either the new CVT or new Valve body. There is also a p17f1 DTC that you may have seen as well, Its also for judder but replacing the valve body ususally solves that problem, Chain or belt inspection for signs of slippage must be performed first though. There is a Nissan Techinical Bulliten for those DTC's you should not have a hard time finding the TSB by searching Google.
