    Good job Homie! I had the same issue with an Altima a while back, turns out it’s a common issue, a tech I work with right now that used to work at Nissan told me that the PCM go bad throwing a code for the throttle body

    hector good diag. just wanted to ask, your verus scan tool doesnt program any nissan immobilizer system? just asking because a little scan tool like the launch diag IV which very cheap in price compared to the verus does nissan, honda, many fords and so far most dodge vehicles. so does the autel mk 808 very econimical. i have both. you could pocket that money instead of farming it out, but good vids, though,keep up the good. work

    There is a poor positive battery terminal design and the terminal can make and break connection while you're driving and the alternator will surge and dip in voltage and damage the PCM.

    Good job, Hector. Total DIY learner here wondering some things. If you have a bi-d scanner is there a way to activate the APP to check functionality? If so, why wouldn’t you do that first since you suspected it? I thought I saw punctures in the APP wires down close to the connector. Didn’t you? Also, since previous diag was incorrect that means old throttle body is still good (as well as old fuel pump, etc.). Why throw it out? Questions questions! 😉👍🔧

    • @jonomotive2000
      @jonomotive2000 3 роки тому +2

      Bi directional controls are for things that do some type of work solenoid, actuators, motors, relays, etc sensor use a voltage to send out a signal back to the computer so there’s no real way to activate them using bi directional controls because their signals vary on a relay for example it’s either on or it’s off you can’t say the same for a sensor and since old diag was incorrect and fuel pump and and throttle body are still good it has nothing to do with hector he’s gonna get payed the same weather he keeps those parts or not I would just give em back to the lady and let her decide what to do with them maybe take it back to the first shop she took it to and get a refund on parts and labor and give the parts back

    Hey Hektor! I know this video is a year old, but I need your help!!! I just bought a used 2009 Maxima and I'm having the same problem. My car died while driving on the highway. Long story short, it's having the same symptoms as that car. The mechanic I've taken it to said it's not throwing any codes. He says he thinks it's the throttle body and ecu, but that's after I told him I seen a video (yours) . So he doesn't want to work on it because he's not sure that's the problem. Can you tell me where you're located? I don't know anything? HELP!!!!

    I have a car problem. I have a 2006 automatic Nissan Altima 2.5S. There has been an emissions code, but not for misfire. The cars stutters and jerks sometimes when stopped while in drive or reverse. When I put the car in Neutral, the stuttering and jerking stops. This does not happen at any normal driving speeds, just at idle. What can be the issue?

    Happened w My Car a few times,steering wheel locked up & had I been on a Hill I could've caused or been hit & dead than broke down at store w my groceries in the heat & had call a tow truck. It was a CAM Sensor issue so I replaced all 4 of them & it's better.
    Why NISSAN didn't put a Post about that issue idk but very Dangerous...

    my 08’ 350z has that code p1705 and it has stopped on me multiple times and the tcs and slip lights come on and i loose power and i have a couple minutes for it to come back. i’ve changed the throttle body’s and cam sensors and even the app sensors and still no fix, could it lead to a bad ecu?

    I own that make and model, and what you are describing is what my vehicle is doing right now it starts up and then it dies I took it to O’Reillys to do a code reader, and then my brother did a code reader as well, and no codes came up on the computer the car checked out with no problems that was strange because when I start the vehicle it runs for about 20 or 30 seconds and then putters out and dies

    Please do not buy any 2002 to 2006 Nissan Altima mid-size sedan with the 2.5 L four-cylinder engine. They are extremely garbage, because they blow numerous head gaskets, the catalytic converters break down a lot and the engine gets destroyed all the time. Thank you very much.

    Hello Hektor, I have a 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R 3.5 and my vehicle shuts off and struggles to turn back on and there are TCS and SLIP lights on and the vehicle is stuck in 5th gear after I get it started it's throwing the O2 sensor code and the Crankshaft sensor, I installed the new crankshaft sensor and it was just cranking I put the old one back on and it turns on normal but like 40 minutes later it shuts off randomly and struggles to start then I get stuck in 5th gear any reason for that?? Or things I should look for?
