I consider myself beginner-intermediate, but it's crazy how much I can still learn from bouncing a ball! Thanks, Rusty, you are doing great things - can't wait for the next challenge, but I'll keep up my 8 hours a week until then :)
Hey there Rusty, thanks a lot for making this challenge. I have a question though. I really don't want to sound suspicious but is there a catch with unlocking the pro mode for free ? Don't get me wrong, i definitely trust you , but this challenge alone would be a paid product if someone else was making it. I truly respect you for making this all available for free, not a lot of people would be willing to share all this hard earned knowledge for no cost. That's why i admire you. But i had to ask about the pro mode cause it really caught me by surprise when you said it's free too!
Yes, 99% of people would charge an arm and a leg for this. And I wouldn't be surprised if the idea gets copied for that reason. But this is exactly the point. I wanted to give away more for free than has ever been done before. To make the barrier of entry for beginners much lower. To help animators trying to break into the industry to keep pushing on and leveling up easier. And because it seemed fun as hell! What do I get out of it? Besides an immense bundle of fulfillment for helping other animators.... Hopefully Rusty Animator is more widely considered as a very serious place to learn and to succeed in the VFX, feature, and game animation industry. And hopefully this gets even more animators excited about what they can do in Rusty Animator School. Thank you for having the courage to ask this btw and also being polite about it.
@@RustyAnimator Hello, I'm up for the challenge too! I was about to ask the same kind of question, wondering how would if benefit for you to set up this kind of challenge for 28days straight and building a community, with the goal of elevate people within it for free. Thank you for this initiative! See you through the challenge!
@@benjaminoAttano I can see why it would make you guys confused or worried. But I hope my answer made sense. With any luck this challenge should also save more students from getting taken advantage of at bad schools. Where they massively over pay in time, money, energy, and confidence. Looking forward to seeing your shots!
Hello! What's the exact name of the ball rig you used? I installed "theBouncin'Ball" but it looks kinda different. Different texture and also had different looking rig controllers
Did you learn a lot with this first challenge? Or are your more eager for the more advanced stuff?
Reply and let me know.
Absolutely!!!!
@@mhytedits8799 awesome!! any key takeaways?
@@RustyAnimator I learned that doing the squash and stretch differently can effect the animation greatly
