Would you like me to keep things like the planning section in future challenges? I thought about cutting it to keep things shorter but figured you'd appreciate learning all the extra stuff more.
Yeah absolutely keep the planning process. It shows thinking process, approach and how to deal with tricky parts of the shot ahead of time. PS. Thank you so much for the 28 days challenge. We are so glad that you're back, we missed your teaching. I was so thrilled seeing 3 notifications from you after hiatus. Hope everything is great at your end. Thanks again!
I want to say that your series of videos have greatly helped those who have no money to buy high-priced courses. I really appreciate what you have done. Your videos are very detailed and you are very sincere and professional. I really appreciate it.
1 whole hour ? Holy moly Rusty , that's amazing! I'm currently learning about follow through and overalp at school as well , so this is going to be extremely helpful. Thanks a lot!!!
Day 2 done! I can't believe how simple yet effective the C and S shapes solution for overlap is... definitely frustrated over offsetting for hours in the past. You did it again, Rusty! Thanks for another great tutorial and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!
@@RustyAnimator Learnt a lot from the previous video too! Thank you for your efforts, sir! please keep the planning section also, if possible. I can only imagine the effort that goes into making this kind of videos!
Can you please include the keybaord keys overlays (like what keys do you press for shortcut) just generally show the name of the feature or tool you used on the side? Its quite confusing for beginners like me to know what you did when.
Can't wait to finish this one - overlap has always been so daunting to me! Quick question: how did you get your SyncSketch frames to animate on the Image Plane in Maya? I can't seem to get mine to work
@@RustyAnimator how do you do that?i tried downloading the zip and current frame and it didnt work.where are u able to export all frames at once.BY the way i am enjoying this 28day challenge course.
Heyy i was following along the tutorial and was wondering how you exported the whiteboard into maya as grease pencil file. Thanks a lot for the tutorial !
Thank you so much for this series of challenges! Also are the black bars on the screen intentional? I think it would be better without them if possible to see the timeline and keys a little more clear! thank you once again! :D
your super welcome! yea the black bars are there due to recording animating on my ultra wide monitor. Its not ideal - so im looking for a solution. Maybe bumping the res of the video to ultra wide aspect ratio but the render times go up and some other things get trickier.
Your welcome. Seems like you missed some of the example animations in the intro video. Follow along animating these exercises because we'll be doing the harder ones soon.
Hey Rusty, I'm using blender so how would I import a Maya rig into it? I've tried changing the file type, but it still does not work. Thanks for the lesson btw!
While i am grateful for your free lessons, i have to say that this is not a good tutorial at all. It is really long on some parts that dont require that much explaining ( the sketching phase) and at the same time you rush through the actually animation process in Maya. I am not a complete beginner in 3D animation so i am fine, but i cant imagine someone who just started the series in day2 and just started Maya could catch up to that. Still thank you for your stuff! Just my feedback on that

You are super welcome John! Im happy you've now got a real overlap workflow besides offsetting and you see how powerful it is.
I applyed all these in blender and results are amazing
Welcome man. After a long time finally u start uploading on utube.
thanks. yea ive been wanting to come back for a while.
Thank you so so much! I'm really excited for this series!

Its easy way to animate it helps me a lot thanks to you. I just want to ask what are those fundamental did you tutorials have video.
Very great and helpful Tutorial. Thanks for that.
cheers Gercek!
Hey, you have explained it very amazingly in 2d as well as in 3D. could you please tell me which 2d app or software you used to plan the animation.
its a site actually. syncsketch.com. but you could use a lot of different programs. like keyframe pro or krita.
Day 2 done, great lesson :D
awesome job!
loved this
😍Yeah Day 2
haha yep!
Great tutorial! Thank you very much! :) :) :)
you are super welcome!

Oh, and what hotkey are you using to push all the frames to the right?
you'll export your syncsketch frames as images then on the image plane - check image sequence. most likely you have to rename the files as well.
@@johncecilaguilar2553 shifting my timing is a custom hotkey that's bound to the command add or remove inbetween.

i found this one really difficult and confusing from 24:11 i just got lost and couldn't follow what was going on
its all good you dont have to get it on the first try. But what specifically is confusing?

Hey all
I wanna know which shortcut key in timeline is being used at 28:09 for some extra time
Thanks for this and plz make some vdos bout body mechanics walk to run run to settle if possible in this 28 days challenge.....plz

Where can i find the button that you use to copy all the keys to other controllers?

at 40:33 , how what hotkey did you use?

how did you bring in the reference from Synch Sketch?
download the sketches as images from sync sketch. then create an image plane in maya -- import as image sequence.
Oh man I'm late, anyway I'm in
its all good
