"Mimic and Revenge" is the theme that runs through this very first episode and interview with Daryl Palumbo. This was done in late 2016 with George Reynolds in a quiet living room in Selden, NY. Daryl talks about his inspirations, band dynamics w Justin Beck, favorite front-men, musical approaches and all while trying to balance the inevitable birth of a new baby and a new record. (Being that the interview is a little older, the baby has since been birthed...but we are still waiting on that new record Daryl..)

Thanks so much for this. There are not enough interviews with Daryl on UA-cam, so this is a gem.
Thanks Zachary. It was agreat way to start this podcast and Daryl was very generous with his time and stories.
Man, I hope your channel takes off like a rocket.
Hey Thanks brother. We're on Most other podcast platforms like Spotify etc.. We get most listens on other streaming services, probably the least on UA-cam, but as long as people hear it, doesn't matter so much where. But thank you for the kind hopes!
@@IfIRuledTheWorldPodcast well I found it here. I'll make sure to check you out on other platforms as well. Don't think UA-cam is completely useless, you've gained a fan.
The idea that emulation is both admiration and adversarial is a system of honor, I say. It can be threatening or insulting but it is admiration and aknowledgement as well. The reverance for things comes across in the quality of the music. Great interview.
Found this in the comment section of a gj video! Thank u for this so much!!!!!
Thanks for Listening!
Man what an absolutely amazing interview. Thank you 🙏
R&B! I KNEW there was some intention there! Some of the vocals on W&T sound so late 80’s/early 90’s New York R&B or New Jack. I always wondered if it was intentional or not.
I feel like, once he said it...it made sense. Made total sense.
Astounding interview. Daryl is probably my favorite vocalist.
Woah... this is a good interview.
Bruh. Tenor. Defund the FBI. Stop torturing Islamic private parts. I consider the cassette medium, mechanical players can welcome a warm fuzz.
