- In a December 2009 interview with Ryan Minic of Ryan’s Rock Show, Glassjaw members Daryl Palumbo, Justin Beck, and Manuel Ragoonanan Carrero discuss their band dynamics and experiences. They reflect on their beginnings in 1993, driven by a desire to play hardcore shows and release an EP, despite early setbacks. By 2000, they focused solely on music, abandoning jobs and school.
Initially averse to getting signed, they eventually relented and worked with producer Ross Robinson, learning to convey intensity in their music. The interview covers their disillusionment with the music industry and external pressures after signing with a label.
Highlights include their first headlining show at Brixton and realizing in 2005 that they could play for love, not commercial success. They express frustration with the reissue of their album “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence” by Roadrunner Records.
The band has new music recorded but faces uncertainty due to past decisions. They aim to release new material freely, focusing on creating for art and enjoyment.

People need to give this band more love. I still to this day jam Siberian Kiss like it's 2000
I'm so grateful I discovered this band a year ago. They've definitely opened my ears to how good music can really be, and have set the bar so high in terms of commitment, love and passion for their music. Just makes me smile to see how strong their chemistry is with one another.
damn no comments? thats too bad. this is an honest to god classic band
I know it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to watch newly released movies online?
@Gary Emmitt i use flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Otto Tobias Definitely, have been using FlixZone for months myself :D
@Otto Tobias Thank you, I went there and it seems to work :D Appreciate it !
@Gary Emmitt You are welcome :D
I remember seeing them at Ozzfest 2002 and before they played Siberian Kiss, Darryl mentioned something about their debut and Roadrunner. I had no idea it was that bad until years later.
I remember the first time I heard them. I wasn’t into it and it sounded like a heavier deftones for some reason to me. I was probably 15 years old. Not really listening to hardcore. Into Korn and all the popular nu metal bands at the time. I didn’t give them another listen until 2007 and I have loved them ever since. This is a great time capsule. Thanks
and the album finally came out in 2017! Better late than never boys, GJ!!!
Just seen them last night. Xoxoxoxoox
was at the starland show in jersey. so fucking dope
They don't give themselves enough credit.
Such an underrated band 🤘
Commenting .. this is gold
the glass jaw is cool
Sucks how the talent gets paid very little and is taken advantage of by a buncha corporate goons...
clwmiller1 the worst . Business and money ruin everything
sounds like capitalism to me
Rick James was outside this room disapproving
Todd may or may not have been an add-on writer. But Glassjaw went down to me after he was gone.
Pretty sure Justin writes everything compositionally but idfk
What happened to their best drummer and bassplayer!?!?
These guys need to get on Desus and Mero.
Bro… yes.
snap shot of an abusive relationship...I love Glassjaw, but you can tell this is a volatile relationship. Justin & Daryl relationship always reminded me of Spike & Chester's relationship from the Warner Bros. cartoons. What Glassjaw is...is dictated by Justin or it isn't anything at all.
Yeah. Justin is a great musician but he somewhat ironically strikes me as very similar to the kind of people in the past he claims he doesn't like.
