This is not really Chinese culture. As a Chinese person I can tell you that some place in China is not well developed yet, villages like this is so run down but people know each others and super friendly and they take care of each other. City and villages could be a huge difference, almost like two different countries. In a civilized place people may assume you are pedophile if u take their kids out for lunch without asking. For example there are lots of NBA fans and Hollywood movie well known in China. Like there is no way you don’t know black ppl existed 😂 So you can tell how civilized this village is😅

I am very proud that Fel was their first interaction with a black person. It was so positive. He was very kind. They learned so much from him in such a short amount of time. They will never forget that experiance. ❤❤❤
The older sister is sooo mature and so self aware for her age! The way she handles paying for them and the way she makes sure her little sister eats is so precious🥺🥺🥺 10/10 video! Even if you leave it would be so nice if you could go back ever one in a while and make update videos with them!
Prove that kids aren’t “color blind”, obviously they notice the difference. I’ve had small white children ask me the same type of questions and I never felt discriminated against. The honesty and purity of kids is what makes them so awesome. They don’t know better, so we have to teach them with patience and love. You did a great job and the girls are both so very cute!❤ Edit: the youngest girl is such a silly goose😂, she’s adorable!
Raised in a multi-racial group, the US military; I was accustomed to seeing all kinds of people as neighbors. LEAVING the military culture; I have met people raised in one place, who have NEVER MET people of other cultures. I truly feel sorry for them, the LEAST of it is the food they miss out on. We were taught it was normal to speak more than one language; and pick up on key words of others. I admit to having a difficult time in a small town where no one has ever left. The TERROR of those....OTHER people...YIKES. I prefer my neighbors as I like my food; exotic and spicy! There is so much to LEARN!!!!
@@valkyrie1066 It truly is their loss, like you said: there is so much to learn (language, food, certain customs) from people who are different from you! The unknown can be intimidating though, that’s why I try to be patient and respectful in situations like these. Provided it is returned, I don’t have much to say to people who are blatantly ignorant and choose to stay that way.
@@everrgreen122 I think in some situations it's not intimidation but rather lack of opportunity to meet different people due to lack of money to travel etc. Like in Fel's videos there's lots of instances of people of simple means who are curious about him and talk to him and treat him well despite obviously never chatting with a person of a different race before. Growing up in the US I grew up w/ ppl of different races that I can't imagine if I didn't, if I'd be as chill chatting with a person of a different race for the first time or be socially awkward. That's why I think everyone finds these videos interesting, that it goes not as people expect which is apparently racial tension or whatever, but in friendliness and openness.
@@ElTemne Nobody is color blind, that's like saying someone is gender blind or age blind. It's a characteristic everyone sees, it's just I grew up with African people in my neighborhood so I'm not going to ask questions out of curiosity if I come across someone like Fel.
For people calling the kid racist or saying that the translation was wrong: The translation was missing context bc "white" and "black" doesn't always refer to Europeans and Africans but is more commonly used to mean pale or dark/ tanned. Fel tells her she is white using the same words, not to mean she is European. In the context of the convo it's obvious she thinks that someone with darker skin means they don't wash their faces, because her sister then says to her immediately after, his skin color is natural, which she didn't realize.
Thank you for bring this point . Context is so important to understand different languages and cultures. Even Color got different meanings in different cultures. the context in which “ black / white” most likely refer to clean/ not clean to her. I’m sure that she must yelled by her partner that only bad bad kid not washing face. That’s why she don’t like darker face . 4 years old kid not even speak and express herself well in her mother tongue . Let kid be kid.
The word black isn't racist. It's a colour. She could have said, "You are so blue." A child doesn't take on negative connotations unless taught to do so. She was innocent and adorable. Thank you for sharing these videos and broadening my understanding of China.
I agree! My daughter was maybe eight, she might have been younger. She loved the show Jessie and I asked her who her favorite character was, and I forgot who she said, but it wasn't Zurri, the little black girl. I thought she would be her favorite because she is closest to her age. I asked her why she didn't like her, and she said because her skin was black, and I told her that it is wrong to not like someone because of the color of their skin. That is being racist. She said that it's not because she's racist. She said because black isn't her favorite color. I like her, just not that color. I told her that we know you're not racist, but someone who doesn't know you would think you are. She's fifteen now and she's had friends who are transgender, bi, and all different races. I'm so proud of her. She is very welcoming and accepting of everybody!
@@jei-jei4841 I always thought that if you don't like the color of someone's skin, it meant you were racist, so when she said she didn't like her because of the color of her skin, it worried me, but then when she said it was because she doesn't like the color black, I was so relieved. I should have never doubted her though, because we always taught her to treat everyone equally, so she wouldn't have learned it from us.
Thats kind of a narrow way to think about this tbh, personaly i do note like the color of the skin of indian and some black but i do like the peson, its juste a color and a taste. Thats dosent mean i automaticly hate the people with mentioned skin, i just do not like the color, and thats because of this way of thinking that nowadays people are using the therm racist for everything and nothing @@fairone1000
I remember that feeling as a kid, when meeting a "cool" person that stood out to you that made your brain go "YOU. You're special somehow, I want to be around you", didn't matter what it was that made them stand out or made them cool to you. She'll probably remember this really well. This is so pleasant to watch. :)
It's not easy at all to deal with such comments, and instead of being hurt by her, you taught her a very important lesson in life. You changed her worldview and showed her that the prejudices are wrong and that blacks are human beings just like her. She surely won't forget you. respect. What a nice family.
Why the f would you take offense to a little kid that is like 6-7 years old ( edit: i now saw shes ONLY 4!!!! ), whos never seen a blakc person, mentioning your skin is so dark coz shes never seen it before what kind of mental issues you gotta have to take offense to that???
@@mariusloveless7880 nope. He went for the very faulty American race relations bullshit. Shoulda just said only his skin is black or that he's African.
There is no racial concept in the Chinese people's concept, and children have no prejudice. She just hasn't seen a person with a skin color different from hers, and what the child said is just subconscious

I like that once she learned that different types of people exist, she immediately got excited and interested. See how easy it is? you just need to explain things straightforward. Kids are really good at absorbing stuff for how it is, its adults that obscure and overcomplicate matters, which leads to misunderstanding and stereotypes. -
So very wholesome. You are a good man for entertaining them. Its difficult for men to communicate with children in a lot of places these days, so its nice to see such a good community.
I love how patient you are with the children. I’m happy that you’re their first black man to meet, I’m sure you made a lasting memory for them. We need more ambassadors everywhere to spread kindness and friendship. Happy travels ❤
The little one is simply innocent. You can tell both her and the elder sister enjoy your company. The father certainly knows a good influence when he sees one. I love the way you gently educate the younger kid on how diverse the world is. Nicely done
I just love the little ambassador❤ She was so bright eyed and inquisitive and not laden with the trappings of societal division. She simply and quite vocally voiced alllll of her thoughts and feelings about what she saw and what she saw and tried to incorporate tho new individual into her world by taking him to share a meal. What a fearless little ambassador. ❤
She is very talkative and outgoing, considering she is only 4 years old. I love to see how she treats Fel very nicely and friendly. She is attentive when asking Fel to eat the side dish. That is a great kid right there who cares about others.
I loved this interaction. In a single afternoon, you broadened these little girls’ perspectives and planted a seed in how they might view the larger world beyond their village.
Loved this video. Your encounter with the little girl was really sweet. i respect how you didn't get upset by what she said but help her to understand that there are different people all over the world. When she and her sister came to find you and you all sat down and had lunch together that is the power of friendship. She wasn't scared by you and the way you explained things to her about race was so simple but effective. As a black woman it is my dream to visit China and watching your videos has made me even more determined to do so. Thank you Fel
This dude is so good with children. Love the way he works to gently broaden the little girl's world-view. Also - though this little girl is obviously unusually bold and venturesome - the fact that a 4yr old and a 9yr old can randomly sit and eat with an unknown adult male speaks very well of Chinese society. Their sense of shared humanity has clearly not been corroded by a political culture based on fear, such that the natural ingenuousness displayed would have already been socialised out of the girls. Dad's ease with the situation is also instructive :- any Western European or American dad in the same situation would be bent out of shape because their response would be dominated by fears of abduction and/or paedophile grooming. All in all, a heart-warming encounter and a joy to watch.
Nowadays all social medias prioritize controversial content to aggravate more engagement, only making people more split and hostile. This video is a gem in the forest, showing just humans being friendly to each other in the purest ways. I’m glad that I stumbled upon this video. Really made me smile. ❤
Totally agree. Sadly , it is the USA who really propagates more the racism. I'm sad many comments going that way. I'm glad Fel is from Ghana and they are not infected yet by usa racism.
Child is not honest in HIS opinion, because he is a CHILD. Probably she learned it from her parents and Chinese parents learn it from European and Euroamerican. I'm Brazilian, if I were hostage only to the European worldview, I would also be r4cist, in Brazil what is mostly Germanic and Latino (Italian) criminal, the worst policies come from these people, as well as extreme corruption
So lovely this experience. The lil girl did not speak out of racist intended ignorance like some adults… she had a simple association of her teachings of hygeine knowing that mud on the face was dark in color similar to dark pigment… a very innocent and reasonable interpretation of a new environment with her obviously new best friend. So lovely she enjoyed her experience and learned too. She respectfully called you Uncle. Now she knows that your dark pigment is not mud or facepaint, her world is perfect!
This is so presh! I love how dad encouraged daughter to cont learning English in case she goes to another country. And oh my gawd!!! 16:24 little sister’s alphabet singing was 100%
I love how they call him "uncle". Same in Spanish culture. We called older family friends, non-related "tito" or "titi" a variation of "tio" and "tia".
@Fei you have a natural ability for interacting with children. Its shown in this & other videos as well. It’s a gift to know how to respond to a child’s comments so that positive learning takes place. You surely made an impression that will likely last for a lifetime with the 2 sisters.
I like how their dad comes over to make sure his kids are respecting and aren't troubling the unfamiliar man they're sitting with instead of coming over to accuse him of being a child predator, escorting the children away in a panic and then calling the police as is the more likely outcome in some Western countries. Imagine an American or Canadian walking up to the same scene and ending the encounter with a lecture to the kids about their educations and then an apology to the stranger for the kids potentially being a nuisance. It's so unlikely in the 21st century that it's a funny idea. Fortunately, most people in Asian countries haven't been transformed by the media into suspicious, overprotective nuisances who see danger under every stone and bush.
Why sexual harassment of children in the West is still a very strong thing, maybe in China they don't have this concern yet because they don't have contact with it, children have never even watched television. They are unaware of the danger
It's so strange how any interaction between a child and grown up is seen as perverse and sick in other countries, instead of just a normal part of growing up and learning.
Love the genuine friendship you formed with those little girls. Not gonna lie, I was even more impressed and a bit surprised how their dad just saw them with you and left y'all alone like you were their actual uncle ☺.
I love your patience brother🙏 gently educating the young one with a level of grace most will never get to experience. Your heart and attitude changed lives that day. Stay blessed Uncle Fel💪
It goes to show you how even though she's never met a Black Man the innocence of childhood acceptance is there. It's heartbreaking that adults teach kids racism. Her intention outshined the areas where she lacked a little understanding or information. You Sir are AMAZING!

Little girl had an innocent reaction to something she had never seen before and his response was so sweet as he patiently educated her. Loved watching you all become friends 💜
These kids were adorable and you handled that so well! It was so refreshing to see innocence learning and expanding their limited perspectives. Tbh, when comparing these two to western kids who are stuck in front of screens all day and can’t socialize without having an anxiety attack let alone talk to someone that literally could be an alien from their worlds view, this was so wholesome and gives me hope for the future.

So glad this popped up on my recommendations. 😍 I wonder how this beautiful and positive interaction will shape her life. Will it inspire her to want to visit other countries when she is older? Will it inspire her to teach others about tolerance of diversity? The girls will take away so much from this interaction for the rest of their lives. ❤

Really liked your video content and the way you approach the Chinese culture. Honestly there are a lot of misconception of Black people (Black Americans in particular) because of the horrible chain stories passed around from the Asian expats. It created a barrier and resentment between Blacks and Chinese. I hope we can see more cool dude like you around. Keep up the good work, wish you the best!
Beautiful children. The 4 yr old is super clever. The elder sister is quiet and shy. What lovely girl's. Prove that kids aren’t “color blind”, obviously they notice the difference. I’ve had small white children ask me the same type of questions and I never felt discriminated against. The honesty and purity of kids is what makes them so awesome. They don’t know better, so we have to teach them with patience and love. You did a great job and the girls are both so very cute!❤
Edit: the youngest girl is such a silly goose😂, she’s adorable!

For people calling the kid racist or saying that the translation was wrong:
The translation was missing context bc "white" and "black" doesn't always refer to Europeans and Africans but is more commonly used to mean pale or dark/ tanned. Fel tells her she is white using the same words, not to mean she is European. In the context of the convo it's obvious she thinks that someone with darker skin means they don't wash their faces, because her sister then says to her immediately after, his skin color is natural, which she didn't realize.
u copied this comment, no one even remotely mention racist
@@warningaccountwashacked8606lots of folks did, actually.
It's not racism at all but she did associate black skin as being bad and white skin as good. I'm glad he taught her otherwise.
@@fairone1000 Yes, this is a perfect example of how we are taught to think and assume children automatically follow the same rules.

Cute! Little sister spilling all of big sister's secrets to strangers is so relatable as an older sister myself.

Children seems to like you, it s very good signe 😊
Child sex trafficking is a huge deal in the West. Especially in some European or South American countries.
