The Andalusian Horse

- The Andalusian, also known as the Pure Spanish Horse or PRE (Pura Raza Española), has been recognized as an individual breed since the 15th century, and its conformation has changed very little over the centuries.
Strongly built, and compact yet elegant, Andalusians have long, thick manes and tails. Their most common coat color is gray, although they can be found in many other colors. They are known for their intelligence, sensitivity and docility. The horses were originally used for classical dressage, driving, bullfighting, and as stock horses. Modern Andalusians are used for many equestrian activities, including dressage, show jumping and driving. The breed is also used extensively in movies, especially historical pictures and fantasy epics.
Horsemanship done right! No abusive techniques at all, just proper training and lots of talent, on both ends. This is a true masterpiece, well done to those people!
Beautiful horses I wish I had one
My Morgan was kind, respectful, beautiful (flaxen mane and tail; Chestnut) and willing; I never saw him get the least bit upset..I miss him terribly..
One day you will rejoin him.
He is waiting for you.
The Andalusian horse 🐎 (Pure Spanish Breed) has had a fundamental role in the formation of European and American equine breeds, such as the Hispano-Arab, Hispano-Breton, the Friesian, Mexican Creole, the Aztec, the Lipizzan, the Kladruber, the Peruvian passing through, the Mustang, the Alter Real and the Lusitano.
the old expression holds true: the horse makes the man
Beautiful horses
MUY ELEGANTE TODO. FELICIDADES SEÑORES
Being a reptile and horse owner,I know I deal about both, but one thing I don’t understand is how beautiful and elegant Andalusians are!!From there gait to there manes absolutely beautiful 💚

The finest horse flesh around & i just love this music !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some say that the horses act unnatural but the practice of the horse is somehow natural because they make the same passes in free nature, also jumping is an natural act of a horse. He does that also sometimes in free nature. Thanks for showing of these horses and kind regards.
We own Connemaras , a mix breed and a Shetland as well as a miniature spotted pony but I absolutely love Andalusian
Princess Dolly all very special horses
Beautiful horses, people and turnout.
They are great horses I love this breed so much.
¿Algo más maravilloso que nuestros caballos Españoles ?
No hay ninguno mas maravilloso que el caballo Espanol, me encanta. El uso de las espuelas no es necesario, estos caballos son my sensibles.
A gorgeous war horse!
they're a beautiful breed.
Beautiful and very talented Andalusians.
Wow they can do the fancy steps too.
A Lot of Horse + A Lot of Training = MUCHO $$$$$$$$$$
Wir waren auch schon dort klasse pferde und reiter 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎
Yeah, so, so beautiful! I just hate to see the over working of these beautiful horses.......over pushing ......for what is completely unnatural for them! They are so willing; however, so taken for granted and pushed way too hard by too much ego!
Loved the video .. pls make more
so beautiful
Descended from the great Nisean horse introduced to Spain by the Romans.

Ah yes, of course, here are all the comments on videos like these. You know, the "Poor horse," and the "He's foaming at the mouth." Also, the "This is abuse." Same everywhere.

Beautiful, thank you.
These are some of the luckiest horses - as you can see they are all - "Fat" -
showing they are Well Taken Care of - and they seem to have the Best Training
in the World - that there is available by Skilled Masters of Perfection .
I almost bought a Andalusian - but they are not only a Very big - Powerful - Horse
- but - Too Tall - which is not a favorite feature for me & they are mostly Grey in color ?
My Taste is for a Chocolate Palomino - so i went with a Rocky MT. Stallion that is
Sired by an International Champion !
Anyway i enjoy looking at them and Dreaming On ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
its so cute
Gorgeous
Do Andalusian horses breed as "Dappled Grey" or named Traveler ?
Da sieht man wenigstens mal reitende Männer, nicht immer nur Frauen. Gefällt mir gut!

Yes horse yassssss
I am THINKING HEAVILY about getting one (as in, there is literally a horse available to me within the next few weeks and I have the space so I’m thinking about it)
If anyone sees this, can you tell me what you know?
Horse is a 3 year old dark bay mare and has really good confirmation and movement from the videos I’ve seen-
She not fully trained, but I’d be more worried about her temperament suddenly going south for no reason-
If anyone has any experience, I’d love to have to some input!!
We've got an Andalusian stallion... Does that count?
Absolutely they are beautiful
Great video! Wonderful Horses! Does anyone know what music is in the video?
Its called "go fuck yourself"
It called "Where I am From" - ua-cam.com/video/Yg773vdzru4/v-deo.html
I use to think this was beautiful, but now I think it's cruel and unnatural. The harsh bits and the forced neck...ugh 😩 pain. Not good ☹️ But the horses are a beautiful site to behold 😍
Well, in dressage competition they use harsh bits, and neck is still forced in some way. So you see, there's not much difference. In both disciplines there are some one who treat the horse correctly and some who doesn't
The horses are fine don’t worry they’re not in pain. These horses are treated like royalty they’re very well taken care of
Do trainers use hoof pain devices and acids on these Beautiful Animals?
Which equestrian school is this? Thank you.
Real Escuela de Jerez de la frontera (Espana)
@@leomarchiori1 I LOVE it! I plan to visit someday.

Is this Andalusian horse the origin of American mustang?
I'm not sure, but I don't think so.
@@Nicla-casas Thanks for your answer.
@@louis1071 No. it is not.
No, the ancestor of the American mustang is the mesteño or mestengo, a mix of the Iberian and Barb horses that the conquistadors took to the Americas.
❤️🇪🇸❤️🇪🇸❤️🇪🇸
Cal Gal Olé!
Pretty horses but id wish people would use bits that are more comfortable for the horses, you can see the foaming mouth and there mouths open slightly,it means the bit hurts. Like eating needles.
selena caraballo A foaming mouth is actually a good sign, it means acceptance of the bit. It's a good thing. And some horses open their mouth slightly to relieve pressure, some do it habitually, some do it to escape discomfort if the rider has harsh hands and is too harsh on the mouth. Some gape their mouths for no reason at all. Can be a sign of discomfort, but not always! So I think it's important not to cast judgement too easily. But the foam is definitely a good sign! :)
Foaming mouth is generally caused by the horse being Relaxed, focused and on the contact.

Sorry but PRE hoses are actually one of the few horses which don't have arabic blood in them haha... :,D
What about islanfic horses?
The andalusian Horse
It looks pretty in all but I feel bad for the horses
natalya doroshenko the horses are fine don't worry dressage is uncomfortable or anything unless it's done wrong
The more beautiful the horse, the more miserable it's life. This video is just another proof of this.
Shut the fuck up.
I agree with u u can see the horses suffering
Do you see how fat they are? Yes the handlers could do a better job but I can tell you these horses are well taken care of
These horses are treated like royalty, they’re absolutely fine 🤦🏼♀️
I think your life being much more miserable than theirs..
They have the ARABIAN Blood
Middle eastern Sarah all horses do
No they don't. The are one of the few races without Arabic blood actually. Just search online if you don't believe me but that is one of the wonders about them
No they don't. Andalusians are pure Spanish.

The one that was foaming. Poor thing
@Vic Rodz yup what a stupid comment
the horse look so tired

Did anyone else notice that some of the horses mouths were foaming
TheHorseDatGo Meow give a horse a sugar cube and it will foam
Foaming is caused by the horse being relaxed and focused.
@@anniedeklerk8858 I respectfully disagree lol. Some of those horses didn't look 2 relaxed. There nostrils were flaring and some of them looked as if they were in pain.
@@oliviateege4150 I respectfully disagree too. I covered the basics in my first comment but, if you need more 'proof' here you go. :) 1, for their surroundings IE stallions side by side, other horses being ridden and doing things like Spanish walk which to horses is an Intimaditing move. they're very responsive and relaxed. 2, Nostrils flaring is no sign of pain, their nostrils flare if they are being little idiots in the paddock, if they just did trot & Canter sets, if they jumped 80cm. it's just like us if we get puffed. 3, personally I see no pain. their bits are snaffle types (with shanks for the double reins.) and while the people do have spurs as you can see they're not jabbing them every stride. the whips are used as an extension of the Arm. not a harmful device. they're on the contact but, not for long amounts of time, they stretch out when cooling down, and their given time to just be a horse. out in the paddock. and the tack fits them.
@@anniedeklerk8858 Still not a big fan of the handling but we all have our opinions and some of those horses did look ok to me to.
This horse was produced by our ancestors in Spain 5 centuries ago
When they paired the Arabian horse with a barbarian mare
🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦
What do you mean by mare ?
Fares Geek-dz
Female Horse
You are so wrong .
Because your talking about a hyperd called arab-barb .
Which has no relation to the Andalusian . The Andalusian is 100% pure breed.
Fares Geek-dz
Okay
Stop apropriating other countries' horse breeds. Andalusians have lots of Iberian blood in them and little Arab. It has more Barb than Arab actually.

is it just me who knows this is horse abuse
These horses do not look comfortable doing these tricks
Poor horses
What are you talking about poor horses?
+Catherine Rauschert the horses' neck look over bent and some of the horses have their mouth opened to avoid the pressure of the bit. It just looks uncomfortable. I mean it's beautiful and all but it doesn't seem comfortable for the horses
+Raquel Phuong Actualy you are mistaking. These horses aren't ridden in a rolkur which you are refering to. They are nicely ridden to the perpenicular. So basicly they are carying thereselves perfectly and usung there bodies to the fullest. Which is what you want in a horse. Also the "bend" in their neck is accomplished out of the realxation of the horse. Also none of these horses have theire mouths opened? It may look like it since the are foaming, but their mouths are really not opened. The fact that these horses are in fact foaming is another proof of how relaxed these horses really are. So no not poor horses. They are being ridden and treated in a way that a lot of others can only dream of.
My Aztec naturally does this. Andalusians naturally do this.
These are some of the luckiest horses - as you can see they are all - "Fat" - showing they are Well Taken Care of - and they seem to have the Best Training in the World - that there is available by Skilled Masters of Perfection . That's simply amazing! OMG, I've always loved the Andalusian horses, they're truly one of the best breeds!
Hey
these are beautiful hoeses and well trained...too bad no one had though of natural horsemanship with dressage and haute ecole...because these horses look miserable with the whips and the nosebands and the big heave bits...thats alot of pressure for a poor horse...i bet someone with a good working knowledge in natural horsemanship could train these horses to perform as beautifully without all those unsightly gadgets
I agree
I agree
Whips are used as the extension of the arm, not as a harmful device. the bits are snaffle types, which are light. the horses are on a contact with a soft hand. However, I do agree that they can be trained without all this, as I do Liberty work with my Arab mare. they do thrive of it.
ما شاء الله الخيل الاندلسي رائع جداً
Croupade Levade Capriolet❤❤ That's what I'm talking about.
These are the most magnificent animals I can imagine, and the relationship between horse and rider is not only honorable, it is quite noble. And people say horses are happier left in the wild. Everyone is happier with a job--a productive life, and good, strong relationships. A cowboy trainer I hired could not work with my horse and sent him home. He said he reared up at him. Well, he's part Andalusian; it's in his blood to rear up!
I love it
the only way to get a chance to win a free website with full dedication
that's my boy
What beautiful and magnificent animals. They are part of my top 3 favorite breeds along with Friesians and Quarter Horses (Due to their speed and power). My uncle has a Chocolate Palomino Quarter Horse named Trigger, who is HUGE for a Quarter Horse at almost 17 hands. He is absolutely stunning and does western shows. He can dance and Slide stop (even though my uncle doesn't do that to him any more since it is hard on his legs.
+Sitizen Kane Trigger? Now that is funny. My father's quarter horse is also HUGE and he's golden. He should have been named Trigger. His name is Attila; probably because of his size. My father is the only one allowed to ride him. He trained him, shows him. We have a horse farm, not that big, but big enough. I absolutely LOVE andalusians.
steven Satalio Nice! We were almost going to name him Hulk (For Hulk Hogan) because of his dark tan-colored coat and his platinum blonde man and tail- just like Hulk Hogan!
Sitizen Kane yeah there's ALOT of horses named trigger
the horses in the film 'legend' with tom cruise and directed by scott are andalusian horses
