Just ordered 2 sets of the 6" nova tires , I absolutely love the 6" Hota tires . But I think I've gone through 3 full sets in the past 3 months . I also had 2 or 3 defective hota's , still love them but I know the Nova tires will have less quality issues. Thanks for the review
Hey Fred, I’m an eskate rider in China. I follow your channel for a long time and your videos have been very helpful for me. A lot of inspiration! I recently got a set of the nova 7inch tires. I put them on my acedeck nomad n3 but I’m a little disappointed frankly. The tires wobble a lot more than the original 180mm stock tires once you hit 40km/h. I think they are a bit unbalanced. I’m gonna do some tire balancing later this week to see if it gets better. I don’t have to do that on the stock tires though. The 7 inch nova tires cost me 150 dollars(international shipping included) and a little bit tariffs. If I get a set of tires that’s produced in China, the price is only 1/4 of that(usually around 27-52 usd), such as the meepo 165mm*72 tires or the Exway 7 inch. So the novas are quite expensive considering the price of tires in China. If I solved the wobbling problem I’ll comment here again.
More contact area also spreads out the wear leading to longer lasting. The better grip also reduces wear as sliding wears out more then turning while keeping the grip.
Are the Novas still good for street? More contact patch seems like it's going to take a bit more effort to carve/turn, like you've mentioned, but I'm not sure how much more these are compared to normal profile tires.
So - I ride an Evolve Gtr and I carve and powerslide hard, I love the 6"(for more power sliding) and the 7" (for clearance and high speed hard carves).. My only problem is that I run thru Evolve tires in 10 batteries worth of runs.. I could even wear down the tires faster and sometimes they just peel chunks of tire off instead of just wearing out normally)... For these problems - would you suggest that the Novas are the best alternative? :) So that for my style of riding (seems pretty similar to yours) - - I don't hopefully have to buy new tires monthly - they would last longer..? :) (I imagine I'd have to be even more aggressive for sliding, since they offer more grip. But that's no problem I guess..)
if ur sliden AT on concrete daily, ur gonna 100% run through tires a lot faster than everyone else . i do think these will last a little longer than evolves but they are definitely harder. take some video of those AT slides n tag me on IG. i love seein riders rip it 🤘🏼✅
Hoping for an 8 in option 🤞.

Soooo 6" or 7"??? I like the lower profile and center of gravity, but if the 7" doesn't give up much, the clearance is nice too!
Being flatter will they affect the range of a board?

great video. awesome shredding . 👏👏
great review but I love the evovle 7" and can't imagine needing more grip
Nice review bro!! These for sure look like a good tire 👌🏽

Will you be doing review of the interstellar 2.0?
Hey Fred what stands are you using for your boards in the background?
Thanks for the videos!
Awesome I’m def picking up a set!

nice work dude!
Goodjob 🎉
Off topic a little:
Are the Meepo 110mm Cyclone wheels-the ones with the holes-artificial or natural rubber?
110 cyclones are synthetic rubber
Weird, i never considered that a wider wheel needs more in terns of turning. Hell, i just got my meepo 165x72s in the mail not to long ago
