Ive literally been trying to make a Manchester map this week - this is so helpful! Not sure why your rivers have come out so defined - my had lots of "bits" of river that I had to go around connecting up.
My problem is that where my sea water is, the terrain is just flat and the best water height in the editor is around 1. But it looks weird with the terrain not going deeper. Any ideas?
Is it possible to get a better quality of overlay pictures? The maximum I got is 2560x2560 but still not the best quality (mod can work up to 15000x15000)
API key acquired and inserted, check. MS Edge, check. Still can’t download PNG file… Not sure you guys are getting it to work. Edit: It worked after pressing “reset” in the settings of the terraining site
Be sure to let the icon spin, if your internet connection is low that could be a problem. Also try not changing any settings except the MapTiler API Key, you need that
when i try and generate a heightmap there is no elevation difference, and it's not because the areas flat ive checked all the settings and theyre the same as the videos so im not sure what the problem is
Great video! I'm totally new to this game, when importing the heightmap into the editor how do I adjust the water levels? Sorry if this is a silly question! I want to make my home town and am not sure how to get the bodies of water to fill with water.
Anyone having issues with inland water areas like lakes and rivers? Since the update to terrainning all my inland water is really deep and had jagged edges
I realiesed my hightmap is only the green area while the world map is all the tiles but when i use the hightmap in cs2 its over all tyles not only the center ones

You can try raising your map to 4096 to higher in the editor. OB

heightmaps dont appear in game for me even after i have made the directory Heightmaps and put them in
You have to completely restart your steam and game. Exit to desktop. OB

You can make your own, it takes time and they will load into memory.
i cant download the png file for some reason
apparently it doesn't work on google chrome. For me it worked using microsoft edge

Try changing the resolution from 4096 to higher
what do the water options do in the terraining website?
That is a good question, mappers understand this but you can try out stuff like river depth.
so much simpler than messing with micro dem and gis data

Make the directories yourself. The mod Image Overlay may not make it for you. OB

Mine only downloaded the height map and not the world map

I think you can change the deepness of the rivers and lakes in the terraining.ateliernonta.com/ website. Go to the water button under the left menu!

Why is your download A GIMP PNG file? I use the png. download and doesn't work
Because I have GIMP installed on my computer, it is just a regular .png file eventhough it says GIMP.
Change PNG to lowercase, see if that works.

You cant or shouldnt build or modify the worldmap. Set river depth in water button

Your location may be flat, or you might have changed a configuration, make sure you have CS2 for your type.
