I bought that exact tent this past August. It was pricy but, when I came to the conclusion that purchasing an RV was out of the question (after watching horror videos on owning one), I thought, the Springbar is a small price to pay by comparison. Plus, I don't have monthly payments on it for years with interest, I don't have to pay an insurance company to own it nor find a place to park it in the driveway. So, I decided to buy the best tent and made in America was a bonus. The first thing I did was pitch it on the front lawn and book whatever campsites I could for the remainder of the season here. What I love, its easy up and down for one person, for one person who doesn't want to deal with too many poles and get confused. When I timed myself at the campground, from opening the trunk of the car to setting up the entire campsite (floor mat, blow up bed, outside mat, stove etc.) it was almost exactly one hour. I love that I can stand up in it, it's easy to set up while still allowing me to walk into the tent and stand in it, that was important to me. I glamped out the site, blow up high mattress with mattress on top. Had the electrical cord run through the zippered cord port for a fan and laptop (that served as a tv). Yes, I want glamp, since I did not get my RV. I love the tent and I was able to book about three weekends before the season ended, not to mention using it in the back yard too. I already booked the holiday season for this summer in it and even the fall. For me, it was a great purchase and one of those I will say, I got my money's worth, considering I was originally going to invest in an RV. Wtf was I thinking?
The new one looks more roomier. I would camp in it. Those are some nice tent stacks that come with it too. WooYoo Made in America 🇺🇸👩🏻🍳 always glad to see that.
Thanks for your review! I decided to order one after watching this review. It would great if you can share your tent set up and more comments on this tent later.
Hi dear! I just watch this review, it seems to be a very nice and efficient items. A lot of possibility! But maybe a bit too heavy (15 kilos). Anyway, it stay a very good shelter of course. So, I wish you a very nice week! Take care of you. God bless you. Cheers from Belgium. David 🐗🐓🇧🇪🤝🇺🇸🦅🐍
I have a springbar from the 90s that is still going strong. Durability is definitely not something you need to worry about with either. Appreciate you stopping by and commenting.
I just sub’ed because of this rare walkthrough. If you can still see my message, would you mind help me understand if it is possible to retrofit outfitter to a hot stove compatible tent just like their Skyliner. Thanks. PS, I understand fully Springbar actually advise against doing so.
Sorry for the slow reply and appreciate you stopping by. The short answer is yes. I have seen many put a stove jack on the upright pole wall. They use two forty five's and then use the outer pole to help stable the pipe. I have seen this done multiple times with great success. Hopefully this helps. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask or you can email us anytime. Sorry again for the slow reply
It does not have a stovejack for a stove. you could put one in yourself im sure depending on how big your sleep system is.. I use a Mr.heater litte buddy in my 10x10. Ive had it in negative weather and stayed worm. Springbar also makes the classic jack hot tent package but they only make it in a 10x14.. Hopefully this helps. Anymore question please don't hesitate to ask.. Thanks for watching🇺🇸🤠
GUNSLINGER OUTDOORS - oh I forgot you’re probably not in a “lock down” state like I am. They’ve closed everything and the most I can do right now is my back yard. Hell they’ve closed the damn desert, I mean how in the world do you close a desert??? Oh well. Honestly I’m not looking forward to camping in the summer, I wanted to do this with that bit of a chill in the air you know what I mean?
Thank you for your comment.. Pack size is:13” x 30”.for the tent body and pole bag is: 8” x 40”. Very easy to get back into the bag however ive been using this style tent for years so there might be a learning curve for some. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask..🇺🇸🤠.
@@freedomospeech8180 i fits on my ultra.. i take the pole set and lay it across.. It doesn't go past my bags and I take the tent body and basically just prop it up like it's a passenger and lean on it quite comfortable.. but i would probably go with the Compact unless you want to stand in the tent..
GUNSLINGER OUTDOORS That’s the idea, I’m getting to old to crawl around on the ground. I’m trying to find tent when I go to the lakes with as well as use maybe a Coleman 6’ cot in.
@@freedomospeech8180 Yeah that's why I use canvas tents you can trust them they're sturdy their stable because when you don't have a car you're pretty screwed if the tent fails..
How's the Outfitter working out? I have the Family Camper but too much for solo trips (incredible tent though), so thinking Vagabond or Outfitter. Thank you for the video!
The Outfitter has been an excellent tent.. everything you would expect from a Springbar.. you really cant go wrong with either one.. something to keep in mind is the Outfitter has a smaller pack size and that definitely has its benefits.. Thank you for watching.. any other questions please don't hesitate to ask 🇺🇲🤠
@@GUNSLINGEROUTDOORS Thank you for taking the time to reply. Love Springbar (USA!) and your honest opinion makes a difference. .Going to add the Outfitter to the collection. Thanks again!

How is the tent holding up? Trying to decide on this model or the Vagabond myself. Just curious if the fabric weight/durability was an issue. Thanks

Man that is a pretty nice tent! I see what you mean about the rope, that’s pretty cool. You get a chance to take it out yet?
Yep in the rain and snow already.. Performed flawlessly
