  • According to Riverside Engines owner Phil Schalk, these Pro Stock John Deere builds start out with a stock John Deere block that can be as big as 680 cubic inches. That's about the only stock thing about it! Find out what went into this build in order to make 4,500 horsepower. It's our Diesel of the Week brought to you by AMSOIL INC.

    I live right around the corner from this place and have always wondered what goes on in there. They play it close to the vest.

      Strictly diesel fuel

    • @isellu
      @isellu 2 роки тому +5

      There is also an unlimited super stock class where alcohol is allowed and the tractor has a diesel engine converted to run with spark plugs and alcohol fuel. These are generally the most powerful "stock" classes.

      Not as much as you’d think, generally around 12 1 which is low for a diesel but they drop compression to spin higher rpm and hold more boost

      It's extremely tough to travel to these individual shops to film in person. We do interviews over the phone and use snippets of the call for the video. Is there something you'd rather see in lieu of the phone?

      @@ronsmith7739 Skype and Zoom are definitely options, and something we can look into more often. However, not everyone has it or is willing to be on camera like that - especially when they are usually in the middle of a day at the shop. It is a valid suggestion though. Thanks!
