The true horsepower and torque specs may never be known because no equipment exists that could check it. Similar to top fuel dragsters and funny cars that are estimated at 11000 horsepower. It's almost unbelievable that those engines stay together at all.
What makes these pull tractors even more extreme to me is they have to make those giant horsepower and torque numbers not just for 3 or 6 seconds but for up to 20 seconds or when ever the sled stops
And with a ton of stress on the drive line. In drag racing your biggest stress on the drive line is during the launch launch, after that it's not so bad but with these it's the whole damn run.
I have a 4x4 open stock truck that I would love to play with fuel tech on. That dash is awesome and the data acquisition capabilities are so cool! Keep up the good work!
so a diesel block to handle extreme boost with alcohol is the way to go if you want it to survive all those pulls? or is it more because a billet block is so expensive and they can use the extra weight of the iron block to wheelie less?
A billet crankshaft handling all that power!!!!! As long as that CS is, it's hard to believe it can handle that rotational force to keep 6 large pistons floating and moving!
