Hi Mike! Hope all is well up north! Trees always want to fall in the road or over power lines. It’s a given. Thanks for watching and Happy Holidays to you and your family! WST
Hi Heinzie! I think it is all our civic duty to do what we can. No one has more pride in their street or road than the people that live on it. Thank you for watching and Happy Holidays to you and your family! I appreciate you! WST
Hi Jason! I appreciate you subscribing to WST. I have wandered through your area in the past down by Port Huron. I use to live in Davison for 15 years before moving up to the Houghton Lake area. There are a lot of awesome wood hounds in our great state. Thanks for watching and subscribing. We appreciate it very much! WST
Hi Daniel! I’m sure most wouldn’t care as long as you are not causing safety issue to vehicles, property and yourself! I just have to return the NO TRESPASSING sign and I’ll feel better about the work I did! 🤣 Thanks for watching and commenting as always. Appreciate you! Happy Holidays! WST
Like I say when you were doing maintenance on ur tractor an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cute concerning the leaning trees. You ought to get on county payroll!!! Lol Mike wishing you & yours a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year
Hello John! I've got about 5lbs. of prevention in this past weekend! I enjoyed beating the county to the cleanup and they enjoyed leaning on the shovel a little longer!! County payroll!!! LOL!! NO!! Thanks for watching and hope you and the family have a Happy Holidays!!! WST
Hi Jim! I guess I was trying to justify it, but at the same time, I was in my legal rights to take it since it was on the shoulder of the road. Which reminds me, I have to return his No Trespassing sign.... That is funny, maybe I should sell it back to him? He doesn't cut wood, he BUYS IT!!! Thank you for watching and commenting! Happy Holidays to you and your family! WST
Nice Cutting there Mike. Man I love your carry all setup. Thats it Im building one and its all your fault. At least thats what Im going to tell my wife lol. The price of the materials has really went up. Take Care and Merry Christmas !!!
Hi Don! I appreciate the comment on the work. It was a fun and easy day. I am glad you want a carry all. It is a great little implement to have. Let your wife know she can contact the carryall complaint department,.... I can give you my number if you want. LOL! Materials are high right now. Not even sure what the frame and lumber is going to run you. I think I was around $350 in materials and frame. Best of luck to you. If I see a call from Missouri, I'll answer it! Take care and Happy Holidays to you and your crew! WST
I like your setup for hauling. My small saw is a 562 and that is 59cc I also have a 462stihl and a 390xp husqvarna. I cut a lot of bigger wood so the bigger saw makes a lot of time for example it’s probably 15 seconds faster in a 20 inch tree than the small saw but when I cut 14 inch or below than the smart saws are nice and they aren’t far behind in time. First time I have seen a 254xp I had a 257xp.
Hi Wayne! Thank you for checking out WST. We appreciate it. You have a nice stable of saws. Pretty much nothing you can’t do with that lineup. The 254XP has been a favorite of mine for many years. Great 50cc saw for small work like you saw in the video. I normally run my 272XP (462 equivalent) which I run a 20” and 28” bar on. I have 394XP also that generally runs the 32” bar. Great big wood and milling saw. I like the old school saws. That is all you will see on this channel. They are all ported and easy to make power with. I enjoyed your comment. Hope to see you again soon. WST
Hey BuildALot! Yea, we try and do out best. That guy from State Farm is giving us a run for our money! He even has TV ads bragging about it! LOL!! Happy Holidays to you and yours! WST
I got some wood I'm cutting up along the road in some weeds tree service cut them up and left them but it was hard to get them in the summer when the weeds were up. Now it's alot easier to get to the wood alot of ash, cherry, some red oak.
Hi Kevin! Hope all is well. That is a common theme here also. On the main roads around the lake, the tree services leave wood for dead along the road. Not always an easy pickup to your point. Ditches in the summer are no fun! Sounds like you got some quality wood to get. Always nice to get some freebies. Thank you for watching and I hope you and your family have a Happy Holiday! WST
Like I always tell Scheib, put on an orange vest and get a yellow beacon light on your tractor! You could clear the entire road of problem trees! You could even have Alex play along and hold a (slow) sign and direct traffic🤣 If the neighbor wanted that dead ash he should have stayed home and cut them!😆 Thanks for sharing Mike! Tell your family we said have a great Christmas!! 🔧🔧🐿🐿
Hello Mr. Lacy! Hope all is well on the home front. What you told, Scheib, I will second. There is all kinds of wood out there and not much competition for it. My neighbor will never know those trees are gone! Plus, they were in the ditch of the township. I shouldn't have made it sound like it was some covert operation, it wasn't. I think it would be right for me to return the NO TRESPASSING sign to the neighbor that you saw at the beginning of the video LOL!!! Take care and thanks for watching. Happy Holidays to you and the Lacy Crew!! WST
Hi Mike! Yep. That is how you have to describe where you live around here. It's a lot of words. That is why Michigan kids have a good chance to be linguists or military codebreakers. Can't make that stuff up.... Merry Christmas to you and the KNL crew!! WST
Mike, you can't be a spy now cause you told us. LOL! Nice cleanup - up here if my neighbour's tree falls over the property line, it becomes my tree and my wood. It's not his anymore - I am sure your county works department would be happy you cleaned it up for them. Have a Merry Christmas!
Hi Gord!! Hope all well! I've got more comments on the spy thing than you can imagine this morning. I have watched every James Bond movie at least 10 times. I think I have all the training I need? I agree on the "who's tree is it" approach. We pulled the trees off a public road, so we should get to clean them up! If I am in cuffs the next episode, well, I'll need a lawyer! Thank you for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it. Happy Holidays to you and your family! WST
Nice load of wood for just a clean up job, it would be nice to have 10 more clean up jobs like that, didn't look like it was all that hard my kind of çlean up job take care

Hey Mike, cleaning up roadside timber is not allowed near me, my street has signs saying "significant roadside vegetation, no firewood collection" ...... go figure. I don't see anything significant, but some one in the council obviously does. Nice load on the back of the tractor.
Hi Chris!! It is always interesting to hear what is allowed and not allowed for different people. In some areas in the U.S. it is a lot like there. In my case, the road has no outlet, meaning, it dead ends at out property. We do not get people passing though for no reason. Our road is not high on the county's list to clean up. That is where I come in. Thank you for watching! Happy New Year from the WST Crew!!!

Ironic that you have a "no trespassing" sign on your tractor. Technically, legally, the wood belongs to the landowner. The county has ONLY an easement. The property, UP TO THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROADWAY, belongs to the abutting landowners. The trees are the legal property of the landowner. They may not care. But apparently some care. I'm also not sure where you are, saw you wearing a U of M sweatshirt, so if you're in Michigan, there's a treble damages provision for theft of trees. Now the landowner may say the value in the trees was in veneer, or fancy lumber, and you'll be stuck with it. Best to ASK the actual owner of trees before you take them.
