I'm a sound engineer since the past millennium and I worked with heavy and big analog consoles, with a limited number of compressors and gates in insert, and a 4 band eq on the channel, in lucky cases with 2 were parametric bands. I'll never forget the beauty of addin a 31bands eq on the LR master and 4 little 15bands eqs inserted on the 4 aux monitor busses in 2002. Then digital arrives with a lot of possibilities and after the years the X32-M32 family is imho the price/quality killer. I know medium and big productions that use X32 system or have an X32 ready as a backup console. I'm a happy owner of X-airs and X32 in my service and use them since 2016 but I've never explore that deep. The path and clarity of your speech are excellent and I am enjoying watching your videos to understand more and to learn how to make the most of the potential of a system with so many possibilities. Liked, clicked and subscribed! Thanks from Italy 🍻
Daniel the reason I love your content is because it’s actual tangible helpful material. I get so sick of seeing videos with titles like “the compressor you can’t live without”. Don’t change bro! Much love from Philadelphia. Thank you for all you do!!
You’re good man!!! Very helpful! I enjoy watching and sharing ur videos with my friends who are learning and want to understand better. We appreciate you homie
Great video. I also recommend watching the following videos on the same subject : - Behringer X32 - GEQ vs. TruEQ Graphic Equalizers in Smaart (Drew Brashler) : ua-cam.com/video/rvZXsyCtAew/v-deo.html - Are you STILL using Graphic EQ? | Graphic Equalizer from Behringer X32 measured in Smaart : (gainmedialab) : ua-cam.com/video/8kXQOojP9Ek/v-deo.html
Great video! The visualization really helps keeping the differences straight in your head. Since you seem to use Open Sound Meter quite a bit I decided to look into it. It's $70 for the phone app version which is obviously not inexpensive, but looks like it could be very useful for adjusting speakers to different rooms and spaces. Normally when you use it I see it on a PC and you connect it directly to the mixer. I have two questions. First, can it be connected to the mixer from my phone, and second, can it just be used on the phone without connecting ti to anything to listen to the room while making adjustments on the mixer?
Your phone mic isn't ideal to measure a room (frequency wise) and also you need a reference signal to compare the measurement with it Sure you can use the rta but that's not very helpful to tune speakers in a room
You use the stereo effect on a stereo channel or bus (2 linked channels or busses) The dual is used as 2 mono effects on 2 different channels or busses So it's like having 2 independent effects but they are in the same slot instead of taking up 2 slots

@@danielkharrat So can the phone app be used connected to the mixer?
@darrylkallen i haven't used it but if you have a cable to connect it i suppose it should work
That’s why I don’t use graphic… go with 10 band parametric and use an analyzer
Something I just can't figure out is what the actual difference between de stereo and dual function is. Can you explain that to me? :)

The dual is used as 2 mono effects on 2 different channels or busses
So it's like having 2 independent effects but they are in the same slot instead of taking up 2 slots
Will like to to have a private tutorial with you
this is great
