Thank you for showing your grandma house tour , it’s very clean tidy . Its remind me of Turkish series . I cant believe It’s 40 years old house well maintain . I love the life style of Turkish people 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My wife and I are coming to Turkey at the end of April for three weeks. We will be going to see Ankara, Istanbul, and Cappadocia. I cant wait to see all of these amazing places and try the amazing food and all the smells of the markets. Thank you so much for all of the videos and information. I am so excited
Hi dear. My country’s name is changed to Turkiye. It’s not called Turkey anymore. I hope you will enjoy your trip in my country and leave it with great memories.
Άγκυρα / àngyra > Ankara Κωνσταντινούπολη / Constantinople Καππαδοκία / Kappadokía Three areas with rich Hellenic🇬🇷 History! You will enjoy every single minute there!
the house is lovely ❤I love the old doors with those beautiful frosted glass seperating the spaces. I think in the 70s 80s & 90s in Malaysia, Malay houses are decorated with lace items too. I remember our house had lace for table cloth, to cover the TV/radio/fridge/sewing machine, or just randomly placed on the head rest or hand rest of the sofa. lace everywhere! 😂 we don't use them anymore now, but we still keep some of them.
Lovely. Lived in Macedonia for years. This is what is different from Canada where I live now. All the pipes the water tanks etc. Are in plain view in Turkey. In North America there are no hot water heaters and every pipe etc. Is hidden through smart carpentry. You never see a pipe anywhere. Second of all....the Beautiful curtains all done by hand in Turkey hanging in the windows have been replaced in Canada in many cases with Venetian Blinds and then drapes. Third item. The bathrooms. Usually in a Canadian bathroom you will find bathtub..shower..sinks..bidet..the bathrooms are usually large. Love your home!
Makedonia is a region in northern Hellas🇬🇷 If you mean this area 🇲🇰 it’s called Vardarska Banovina and it’s a Yugoslavian province. The people there are Bulgarians, ethnically Slavic people! They have nothing to do with Makedonia🇬🇷
Our eastern countries are more unique & designed with deep n purest love & feelings. at least I think this way. & don’t blame me for it. because after more than 30 years, every time I see a picture or video I want to fly myself at that moment. I just want to go there I’m missing our traditional home & refresh my soul, brain and the semple n pure happiness we had. that unfortunately they took all from us. I can’t wait, that one day we can go there. & breath under its shining blue sky & the smell of it’s soil & grasses😔😞😒
We Indians also call our Tea chai only 😊 we visited Turkey last October that's how I subscribed to your channel, the tips in your videos were very helpful especially the one about tourists getting cheated. Thank you
Yes that was exactly I was about to say and they also have loads of similar words as we have in Romanian and also the way they do certain mimics and sounds, I have seen it while I was watching some Turkish love stories ❤😂❤
Old furniture would be very nostalgic laden with childhood memories I am very happy to see this that turks don't give up their identity in the name of modernity
Turks would rather die instead of giving up on their identity. That's why I'm disgusted when people say we are getting westernised. We are modernizing our country while making our culture and identity a part of it. The most important part is to keep us away from gettin westernised
Pretty tiles and curtains in the kitchen! And what a view! The living room is stunning! The whole place is so nice!😊I live in the US but they are crazy here, they want football field size kitchens and stuff. I live in a small house and I love it.
Beautiful home reminding me of back home Greece...But we are sending our love from Melbourne Australia...Thats were we leave for the last 52 years..POPI..
A house or a single room without Doors would be so interesting and weird for a turkish, , also kitchen Door is a must,, no debate, Otherwise non of the women would fry fish at home or other do other cookings, house should smell very fresh and floral
What a beautiful lovely house your grandmother has and what a spectacular view from the kitchen. I noticed that the pipes around the sink area are all exposed rather than behind the walls. Is this common in Turkish kitchens in the older homes? I love older homes as their craftsmanship is amazing. I was not aware that the Turkish remove their shoes inside the house; I thought that this was only practiced in Asia countries such as Japan, China, and Korea. Thanks for sharing your video.
This house is very similar to houses here in Australia. The Milkmans cupboard (door in the kitchen wall), the nest of tables, the carpet in the lounge room, the furniture, I have a very similar carved mirror, we don't have a floor toilet.
There were similar curtains and formal living furniture in the U.S. in the last two generations. We have a less formal living area called the family room. Pipes are hidden in the wall and ceilings. I have never been in a home with glass in the interior doors, but sometimes at the main entries. There are no toilets in the floor here in my lifetime or that of my parents and grandparents. Very interesting glimpse of another lifestyle. Thank you.
Lovely, we to had old furniture 50 years ago but not it’s all replaced by modern types , some items in the kitchen are around . Love your episode ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
What a lovely home! In the United States, we call the second living room where the family hangs out together, a family room. Also known as a den. This is where people gather to watch TV or to have conversations. Usually, the first living room is a more formal room where we entertain guests and maybe serve coffee or tea. :)
Hi The video is so nice…And the comments telling that many people from all over the world have such houses.. It feels like a connection. .. .. of humanity. love from Pakistan
Can you give a tour of eda character house in the series named sen cal kapimi aka love is in the air please by watching that series I fell in love with istanbul❤😍😍
Your babannems place is so beautiful mashallah, I love the solid furniture and the simplicity of everything☺ we also have a lot of similarities culture household wise
This is such a good video, thanks for showing us. How did your grandmother house become a location for the tv series? I have watched most Turkish shows and learn the language a little as well. I would love to go to where Feriha was filmed 🙂
Same culture, same items in jordan. Even the squat bathrooms are stil used in some areas in jordan. My grand mother house used to have one which i used frequently myself 😅 In iraq they drink tea a lot and have same double tea pots but not in all houses
Enjoyed your home tour videos. I did not see any private court yards or the beautiful garden areas for (alfresco dining) , that I have seen in so many Turkish series.
Hi Cindy! In fact, there is a nice garden that also it’s used when there’s a bday celebration for the little ones (my husby’s little nieces, cousins) 😍
Interesting, the living room furniture is quite similar if not a French Proventional style, something I grew up with. Quite popular in the 60’s in the USA. In the states the second living room is known as the family room where the family gathers everyday, it is quit often found off of the kitchen area and away from the main entrance. Thanks for the tours of the homes.
Hi dear kindly make a video on best salons for hairs ,facials and Acrylic nail. Kindly post before eid if possible 🙏. Advance thanyou and love ❤ your all videos 😊
Hola Beri, my nombre es Milton. me encanta ver tus videos. I have learned a lot before my two previous trips to Turkey. I will be there in June for my 3rd time. Te voy a agradecer mucho tu ayuda. Gracias
What surprised me the most, was how each room had a door to its entrance. Here, in my area Buffalo, New York USA, the entrances to the living rooms and kitchen are open. Usually only the bedrooms and bathrooms have doors.
doors reasons for energy saving and noice blocking. Winter time people if not use to some rooms close door they more less use heat and easily keeping warm or blocks kitchen cooking smells..
My aunt lived in a Victorian home. The kitchen had two entry ways from the inside. One near the living room/ side dining room and one thru the back of dining room. The dining room had three doors and one was a pocket door. The dining room also had a fireplace and caste iron radiators. 👍 the pocket doors faced the living room. So that’s why they had two regular doors. Because the side door faced the steps to the upstairs on the side. Hope there’s no confusion in picturing my description.
It is beautiful, even though when you said "old", I thought I must have overheard the number stating the age: 35. Because to me, it is not old at all. So at first, I thought you must have said that the house was 135 years old.

What a nice description! Is amazing getting to know what houses are like around the world 😀
Natural gas connections started in 90s, breaking concrete to put the pipes in is costly, so when the house is built the pipes are inside the walls

Yes! I've seen those small tables that fit under each other, and they were called, "nesting tables" (describing how the stack under each other).
Wow lovely, I watched the series a few years ago, might watch a few episodes again to look at the living room 😊❤
Name the series plz
That time of the year 😍
Wonderful. It's very similar to my grandma's house which is in Calabria (south Italy), especially furniture's style, doors and lace everywhere :)
So interesting to see that they have doors in every room. Even the kitchen. 😊😊😊
Right? That is something that also surprised me the first time I entered a Turkish home, doors everywhere 😀

Yes pipes are exposed in older homes. And we are also an Asian country....so it makes sense we take off our shoes along with other Asians
Beautiful, enjoy at the Istanbul 😍😍😍😍😎😎🥰🫶🏻🫶🏻

Carpets are not only for decorations but also collecting dust. They have this important function. They prevent dust to go up.
Sushmita: seen this home in many Turkish series 😊
Your babannems place is so beautiful mashallah, I love the solid furniture and the simplicity of everything☺ we also have a lot of similarities culture household wise
Thank you so much 😊!
This is so similar to the Ethiopian house I grew up in.
It reminds me a bit of Dutch homes 😊
