This show was an absolute gem as a child. My favorite gag was Garfield trying to send Nermal to Abu Dhabi. Best one was when John sternly reminded him that he couldn't send Nermal to Abu Dhabi but by the end of the episode he sends him to Greenland instead
oh my god i remember that episode, im pretty sure at the end of that episode where he sends nermal to greenland there was just a bunch of other nermals
I have such fond memories of watching this show as a kid! Sure the CGI may have been a bit primitive but the good content makes us forget that! Love this show.

One of the things I like about the Garfield Show is the inclusion of new characters, specifically Vito Cappelletti, Eddie Gourmand, and Dr. Whipple. The reason for these characters is that they add to the world building of Garfield. Garfield is born in an Italian Restaurant, so having a Chef that specializes in Italian Food would give a sense familiarity on why Garfield had this obsession (and, of course, add to Jim Davis' original plan in making Pizza be Garfield's favorite food, due to Jim Davis having a struggle in drawing lasagna). Eddie Gourmand is a Food Critic, so Garfield could find ways to learn of the food industry through someone who studies culinary art. Dr. Whipple is a special case; voiced by the late great Stan Freberg (the same guy known for voicing Junior Bear and Pete Puma, both from Looney Tunes), Dr. Whipple is likely an expy of Happy Chapman, a character that only existed in the first Live-Action Garfield Movie. Why Dr. Whipple reminded me of Happy Chapman? It could be that he sometimes plays the antagonist role (three times in regular Garfield stories, two in fantasy stories, the latter two being story arcs).
I didn’t watch The Garfield Show a ton but I liked it when I did! Definitely reminds me of when I’d get to watch TV on my own as a kid, and didn’t have to negotiate on shows with my sister
Firstly, who else had the stuffed Garfield car window cling?? XD I grew up with "the funnies" aka the comic strips and Garfield and friends (in the 90s born 89) and much prefer that to the 2-3D animation but this was a passable version that I watched with my son (born 07) glad Garfield still has a place in people's hearts today. I watched this series when I was a kid it's so underrated and nostalgic
What bothered me is that I love this show, same with the live action movies, yet Garfield fans don’t. The show and movies are funny, entertaining, and other such things. It is Garfield bro, what do you want, an art film. It bothers me that Bill Murray hated the movies script and only signed on because he didn’t read it at first after thinking Joel Coen wrote it. What did he expect bro to write, Godzilla Minus One? Idk man

I recently turned 18 I used to watch the Garfield show late nights on boomerang staying up late before bed and watching the stories play out was really interesting I love this show thanks to the people who made it.
My 6 year old lobes everthing about Garfield but here in norway he is named Pusur

Garfield was created I'm '76 in the comic "Jon" in the Pendleton Times. This became Garfield in '77 in the same paper. Finally he launched worldwide with some tweaks in '78
I remember I watch it on Cartoon Network when I was a kid and it’s a great show and it stays true of what made Garfield a legendary and it stays true to the Garfield franchise and not to mention the new Garfield movie is coming out in next year which I’m really excited for

I love this show's animation and soundtrack. Wish the last episode was a bit more creative though. The Rats wanting to rule the Universe and Garfield fighting them epicly, or something.
I loved that show as child, I watched it so much that I almost knew all episodes
My favourite episodes were the ones featuring the mad scientist kid who's mom just let's him do crazy shit (Only at the end she usually finds out) 😂

This was absolutely my favorite show when I was a kid. I watched it on repeat, and could probably recite every episode if I tried. Maybe the animation wasn’t the best, but it is still appealing and very charming. This show was so zany and strange, but I absolutely love it. I hope more people watch it because it is so silly and nostalgic to me.
I loved this show as a kid and I still love it to this day! There is just something about the show that makes it so once you watch one episode you can't stop, it's just so addictive!

It was a good show, but I want to know what the production value was. I distinctly remember an episode where Garfield gets amnesia, and Nermal says “You’re a mangy alley cat named Ichabod, and you’re not allowed in the house!” at the start of the episode and at the end, they reuse the same voice clip!

I don't like what they did with Jon in this show.
They vaccumed the quirkiness he had in Garfield & Friends and made him an overly strict doofus that screams at his cat.
Sure, he can be strict. And does he yell at Garfield? Absolutely.
But when I say this show nearly turns it into his whole personality- 😭
The Jon from Garfield & Friends is so charming, just watching a compilation of quotes from him is entertaining enough.
In terms of quirkiness, I'd say the same for Garfield, but it isn't nearly as drastic.
But I'll be honest, the Garfield from G&F whoops the one from Garfield Show.
this show is my favourite series but I couldn't have watched it because I couldn't have found most of the episodes on my native language while I was a high school student. I watched all of the episodes after I learned English in college😂 I wish I had learned English earlier😢
