    Isaac you make the best shooting videos on the internet. Your teaching is so precise and very detailed. I watch each one of your videos numerous times using my own Sig to see how it feel doing it myself. Keep up the videos!!! Could you do a video on how to shoot while moving and how do you shoot that fast and get the gun back on target. When I try shooting that fast my bullets end up all over the target.

      Thank you so much for your kind words. I enjoy doing the videos although I think you give me too much credit. I have to simplify everything for myself so I figured there's might be a few people out there like me that can relate. Thank you again.

      armory craft p320 sport takedown lever do recommend using it I believe you use to use it if I'm not mistaken

      I tried one out but didn't care for it. I found I would tend to put pressure on it and it would effect my shooting and cause bad habits. Everyone is different so if it works for you, use it.

    So the snatch draw is not the same as the scoop draw you did a couple years ago? How is the snatch draw different from the standard conventional USPSA draw?

    • @isaaclockwood1839
      @isaaclockwood1839  4 роки тому

      The snatch draw, my hand comes down on the back of the pistol. The scoop, my hand comes straight up with my fingers lifting the the pistol into the back of my palm without ever going down. The scoop can be much faster cuz it's one motion but less consistent. I was proficient with the scoop for a time but since I don't practice or dry fire as much I rely on the snatch draw. The snatch draw is probably the most common for USPSA.

      @@isaaclockwood1839 did you train for a specific elbow position when you have your gun presented, or do you just do what feels natural for you?

    • @isaaclockwood1839
      @isaaclockwood1839  4 роки тому +1

      I've found I can control recoil much better with my elbows bent. I they are any more straight the sights will have much more movement. So, yes, it's trained.

      I relax my shoulders and pull them back. My elbows lift the pistol to my eyes while pointing out slightly.

    Love the detail, are you indexing your thumb on your belt too? I see you placing it pretty consistently in the video. I wish I could talk to you, I'm good for a double tap but stringing rounds vertically (low)some during a Bill Drill. Trying to figure out if it's a grip issue, trigger issue, or pushing the gun down? Still working "timing" coming from Major .40 to Minor 9mm. Thoughts? Maybe a video on recoil management "Problems and solutions" 👍😀. Thank you for this video, very helpful! 😃

    • @isaaclockwood1839
      @isaaclockwood1839  4 роки тому +1

      I used to index my thumbs pointing towards the target. Now, I relax my thumbs completely, sometimes off the gun even. I think for me in particular I've held my gun so much that it's become an extension of my arm and have realized my thumbs really do nothing for grip. That's not to say thumbs might be helpful for others though.

      @@isaaclockwood1839 Sorry I wasn't clear, look at your right thumb at 0:41. I see you returning the thumb to that location (touching the belt?) each time on your initial grip of the gun, at least from the camera view point. Thanks so much for the reply! Keep the video's coming! 👍

    • @isaaclockwood1839
      @isaaclockwood1839  4 роки тому +1

      I see now. My thumb on my dominant hand as I draw stays up and out of the way in that position until my non-dominant hand establishes its grip. So what you're seeing is my thumb staying in that position throughout the entire draw not just that initial part.

    • @isaaclockwood1839
