What a happy and historic occasion, thank you for sharing. I've often wondered why Mrs. B sold part of a wonderful business, and whether it was to get Buffett's investment skills with Berkshire stock. She's smart to take cash and take care of her family.
I love these old Buffett interviews. I wish someone could find the one where Buffett is interviewed by the press in the lobby of Solomon Brothers when the scandal broke.
Yes exactly. Probing but not cynical or nasty. Succinct questions and journalists taking turns. Whereas today's journalists would be insinuating she may have received a less good deal, or mud-slinging with unrelated questioning like "Buffett, with your continued investment in Occidental Petroleum in light of global warming..."
@@COVID...19it's not just about the money, you clearly didn't listen, it was because it was Buffet. If she sold it expensive to some idiot who would have just destroyed her business after she sold it, then that destroys her life's work, not to mention her family that still works in the company.
@@missionpupa If it wasn’t about the money why did Ms. Rose Blumkin take ALL cash and zero shares in the purchase transaction? Which was another monetary blunder on her part as the shares rose from that point to over 1,000%. Taking the shares would have secured her family’s future management positions in the company. My original point was merely because she was Jewish does make her have “genetic intellect” as I can see major blunders of magnitude.

@@victorblock3421 Is what you have only a couple of insults for me? Then it shows I made some valid points on Ms. Rose Blumkin not being as astute and genetically intellectual as some might believe - a person who happens apparently to be Jewish. I'll take those insults of yours as a compliments. Thank you!
Everyone has their reasons and if what I heard her say was correct, Levitz Furniture had a deal to buy her out. When they insisted on paying her in stock, she told them to go squat. Levitz later filed for bankruptcy and the stock became worthless. Mrs. B was smarter that you could ever imagine being.
these guys in the comments are idiots. Mrs. B is trying to sell her company, she was not trying to buy stocks. There is a very big difference between the two. Thats why shes a millionaire, and these scrubs buy stocks. @@victorblock3421
During that time, the stock market was really run by experts. She probably still had bad memories and stories from the depression era. She could have been asking for Gold bars, for the right reasons.
Why? Does she even know who buffet is, she has to do also this research first, and know about investing. She's trying to sell her company, not trying to buy his stock. That makes no sense.
As a Buffett/Berkshire follower, this is a gem. Thanks for uploading

It’s online. Look it up
Mrs. B has such a charmingly straightforward personality - I love the interview, and her part even more than Mr Buffett!
Thank You for posting this video. I absolutely love this woman. She was truly one of a kind.
Mrs B is a smart genius. To learn English from scratch and build a big business

Thanks
How did you get these videos? Amazing. Buffett is an impressive diplomat getting deals done.
Mrs. Rose is spunky, sharp, a fire cracker , RIP.
Warren was lucky to find unusual friendship with Rose,Munger, Gates
This is diamond.
That was great
Thank you! Mrs B. "I don't understand percentages."
You can see Mrs. B's doggedness here that got her to where she is.
She is astute and very bright .Jewish people this is genetic intellect ,her dad was a butcher and rabbi.
Why did she sell so cheaply then? Don't seem to have such great business acumen to me.

😮 mrs b still need Chanel to tell ppl she is somebody as she only wanted cash not Berkshire stock, a poor ppl mentality sticks out
