I love the timing of the “real chain saw” 😂. You knew damn well what some of us were thinking that quick too hahahaha ❤
This is so cool. Structurally, the two critical points are 1) that the hull running surface (the bottom of the boat) is in a flat plane from the original hull across the extension. If the extension creates even the slightest downward “hook,” the boat will porpoise like a SOB. And 2), that the stringer extensions are done properly as they are the primary structural strength for the whole boat.

You did the right thing because your shins would take a beating out on the water if they had to ride against the foredeck all day. Every little ripple would be another bruise.

heck yeah! a jib crane will be a valuable asset. I don't have space to move it around or I would build one.
This will be a stationary one up against the wall built in and it will pivot and swing 180°

Interesting project but that's a lot of TIG welding!! The last jet boat build I looked at was a full size boat and he weled it with a spool gun. Keep up the interesting videos. Thank you.

I've had a lot of interest in these mini jet boats for a few years now. I like small and over powered BUTT 6-foot seems soo short had to go to JS site to actually see how the engine & pump assy fit. The hull lines look so awkward being the depth is too much along with the windscreen being too large as the bow is really blunt. If the design could be stretched out to 8-foot and the windscreen redone, there might be a good combo. The 6-foot'r with a 15hp outboard was another idea came to mind. I was 10 y/o (Elvis died) when I built the Glen-L 8-foot Tiny Titan hydroplane during summer break. Had a deep fascination with boats ever since. I like JollyRoger sprint boat build channel. That's the look in the hull shape & design I see except smaller like a go-kart for the water. Looking forward to your next stage of the build.
Thanks for watching yeah agreed it's definitely small that's why I stretched it 6 in and I think I'm going to stretch the pump box out another 6 in under the swim deck .so I can push the motor back as far as possible.

That's a hard one some things I just have multiples of and other things I just tried to plan ahead
@AM Custom fab were the black you were wearing welding sleeves with cut resistance?
I don't know if they make the claim to be cut resistant but they do have Kevlar in them which is inherently cut resistant.
I totally agree, the 6 foot kit is too forking short. Why not make it 7 foot? Jetstream should do this! My got damn knees would be up in my face with this 6 foot. Bravo on pushing it out. Jetstream, get your shit together and stop the 6 foot junk model.
