    I was in Tampa yesterday. I saw these things growing over 50 feet in the air on an oak limb. Never realized they could grow so large. Thank you for sharing your video, the blossoms are awesome .

    Very nice setup. Quick question: How wide and long are those hoop houses ?
    Looks like the perfect size for my passion fruit plants.

    Hi Spicy Exotic, What type of substrate do you use? I live in Puerto Rico and my weather is hot, humid and rainy.

    Hi Spicy Exotics. Just wondering where you are living at? I'm in Seattle, Wa. Just started my own bunch of dragon fruit from seeds (store bought) fruit. Temperatures here ain't so great that's why I'm wondering what state you're in. Thanks.

    Do you use the lights indoor hoop house to encourage more flowering in the off season?

    • @Spicyexotics
      @Spicyexotics  7 років тому +2

      The lights you see in the video are not used in the offseason to encourage flowers. I do bring in additional lighting for heat in the offseason. This has enabled the plants to flower as early as January if the winter is mild.

    why do the purple varieties produce such small fruits?

    • @Spicyexotics
      @Spicyexotics  7 років тому +1

      Not all purples have small fruit. The hybrids can get up to a nice size. Up to 2 pounds. Try reducing bud count on a stem to one or two flowers and hand pollinate. They will make larger fruit.

    Dragon fruit, after we cut the fruit, do we need to cut that branch out too? friends

    • @Spicyexotics
      @Spicyexotics  7 років тому

      You could leave it one more year, but I would cut it after that.
