Balrog/M.Bison SNES Theme Arcade Pitch

- Just a little experiment i did by changing the pitch of the SNES version of Balrog's theme to resemble the arcade version. I chose the U.S. version as it was a little closer to the arcade than the Japanese version.
I can still hear those crunchy sound in SF2 whenever he lands his punches, which is why it's stuck in my head because it happens 100%.
snes, one hell of a machine.
Indeed, the impacts from hard attacks (well, in SF2 Turbo of course, Super SF2 sounds weak) sound so good on SNES... Even better than in the arcade original imo. I'm still playing it sometimes, it's such a timeless classic!

Boxer in Japan was M.Bison as an homage to Mike Tyson.
Vega was the dictator and Balrog (Fabio de la Cerda) was claw.
They swapped the names around in the states because Bison/Tyson, and they didn't want to risk any kind of legal troubles

Mike Tyson wouldn't have sued or anything he loves street fighter and is honoured to know that Balrog was made in his image.

This is great. I always hated when they'd change the pitch for the SNES versions. In the Champion Edition, they did it for E.Honda, Dhalsim, Vega, and M.Bison's stages. It would be fun to hear how they'd sound in the proper pitch.
@punky 469 Actually, Guile's theme was one of the themes they didn't change the pitch on. They kept it in C minor, like the arcade, which I appreciated. Guile's theme is kind of sacred.

@thesmashmaster Well, if you want to start a new IT, go to file and new and select IT. Then at the top bar there will be certain buttons for different functions. General will determine how many channels there will be, patterns is where you lay the song out at, samples you can load samples and play them and edit them or edit existing ones, instruments is mostly the same except you can load midis in there and even VSTs. Transpose in samples is where you can alter the pitch, the rest you figure out

@thesmashmaster ModPlug Tracker, you can change the notes in the sample section.

@thesmashmaster You may have it a few octaves too low or too high. Swoosh makes it sound as though it's low. Hit a certain key and you'll get the main effect. For the rest, i say try and figure this out on your own.

@CosmoBuggi: I hear nothing but swoosh. Changing the octaves or pitch doesn't help.
I just clicked on File->New->IT
Then a second window popped up: Samples->Import Samples->Importing this song->Clicking on "play" = Swoosh
If you don't see right away what I did wrong, don't bother, it's ok.

@thesmashmaster You need to load a Wav file. But i didn't load an entire song and make it slower, i extracted an IT file out of an SPC file, go watch FC Engine's vdeo on this for more help on that stuff,m it tells you a lot.

M.BISON/ M.TYSON, M STANDS FOR THE MIKE AND THEN BISON (TYSON) THIS IS REALY BOLROG'S THEME. BOLROG AS IN THE GUY WITH THE RED CLOTHING, BUT U.S.A CHANGED IT THERE NAMES SO BOLROG IS NOW M.BISON. AND M.TYSON WAS CHANGED TO BOLROG
