This is the single best Archfey video out there - I have been searching for this for so long. I am running an Archfey Villain now with a very similar plot as your Red Squirrel BBEG. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I found them most useful. You’ve got yourself another subscriber. I look forward to more videos outlining Archfey, Villians, World building, plot hooks, etc.
I love the Archfey... I made a Tome Lock with the Archfey where the Patron was the Monkey King. I took the following cantrips: She-Lay-Lay w/Booming Blade Primal Savagery Thorn Whip By level 9 I was a terror on the battlefield
im currently running a magical girl campaign with an archfey villain my players are about to meet next sesh. she's literally just a fairy. like, tinkerbell sized. a wee thing. little bundle of evil. and is basically just one big reference to the ending of Madoka Magica her name is Kadoma (cuz I gave up on trying to come up with something original), and as an archfey, she does have the ability to grant wishes. However, she's a bit dissatisfied with the rules and limitations of this power. A normal wish can only accomplish so much. It must always bend to the laws of the universe. But soon, Kadoma realizes that with a bit of work and a lot of patience, she can make a far more powerful wish. And if your wish is strong enough, powerful enough to break reality and reshape the universe as you see fit....well then, you may as well be a god i.e. Kadoma is that bitch with a god complex who realized she isn't actually a god, so she decided to do something about it like getting a handful of humanoid mortals and giving them the ability to become magical girls on her behalf. including a literal 5 year old who was just lost in the fey wilds, stealing the memories of one woman and blackmailing her to do her bidding and causing her to accidentally forget and abandon her own daughter for 18 years, oh yeah and a mafia boss. Just girly things. she's also responsible for turning Kimudon, a guardian dragon who watched over our main location of JabberTowne, into a smaller and weaker and far more merchandisable form that forces him to seek out the players to turn them into magical girls to fend hers off the plan is simple. lend your senshi a weaker version of your wish granting abilities and instruct them to collect the treasures of mortals. treasure is defined as an inanimate object a person has an emotional attachment to. in the feyrealms, that emotional energy is something you can actually harvest and utilize. furthermore, assigned meanings and emotions have far more power there. with enough of this emotional energy, Kadoma will eventually be able to make her wish to break reality. in the meantime, the senshi are given the bargaining tool of granting someone a wish in exchange for their treasure. they spread the word of the great Kadoma, a goddess who will save you from the rapture and bring you to the new world, shall you pledge yourself to her Kadoma herself has the appearance of a cute petite woman, pink hair and golden eyes and a high pitched giggly voice. yet she's also somewhat unnerving. several eyespots on her big butterfly wings, the eyes seemingly able to follow your gaze. several accessories of thorns, as she presents and fancies herself as a lord and savior. right now she simply has thorny hairties for her pigtails, but later appearances will include a full on crown of thorns. someone who has declared herself an actual god, wanting all of the followers but making none of the sacrifices. or rather, she forces her followers to make the sacrifice. they're just her playthings, anyway. her own magical girls are just toys to her, and she will play and play and play until they break
I really love how this video tackles get creatures and how they can be used in a DnD campaign. I’m having a hard time trying to portray “good” aligned fey creatures without them being annoying or making the party want to kill them. Do you have any input on how I could incorporate the good aligned fey in a way that avoids conflict or a “lol random” moment?
One way of looking at Fey is as "alien". They think on a different level to us. Perhaps a creature that just wants to help mortals, but struggles to know when they may wish to be left alone, or if their helpful nature has hindered the creature it sought out?
in a campaign i run there is a archfey villian that took over a country after asking for an political canidates thoghts and prayers. This archfey was killed by its siblings long ago but is only still alive by these thoghts and prayers and plans on reattacking its siblings when gaining enough power to fight them again.
@@CraigArgyleAudioactually I was thinking about this character and it give heavy Annihilation vibes like it causes the shimmer in the prime material world pretty dope

Holy shit, that was one of the quickest Subscribe clicks I've ever done. This content rules, and we can never have enough of it.
I really like your narrative style and way you lay out your video. Can't wait to watch you grow.
Thank you for the high praise!
"Why need perfection and power when there is no around to acknowledge this?"
With this words archfey casts Twinned Banishment.
I love the creative use of the fairy wings in hero forge to give the throne some flair to it
Should definitely drop more like this. This is the video that made me subscribe.
Intro to this vid had me hooked immediately!
I love the Archfey...
I made a Tome Lock with the Archfey where the Patron was the Monkey King.
I took the following cantrips:
She-Lay-Lay w/Booming Blade
Primal Savagery
Thorn Whip
By level 9 I was a terror on the battlefield
this was awesome! Hope your channel blows up, you deserve it
Thank you, I'm working on a follow up. Didn't expect it to resonate as much as it did ^^
Well this sounds properly menacing.
We try our best!

Yup you made archfey cool again instead of as you say “lol random”
Thanks, glad to hear it.
