Susan Boyle's audition on British Got Talent saved my life. My then girlfriend was putting me through some mindgames and with a personal situation that was not too good, I was not in a good place... but seeing how brave Susan was to face the crowd that did not look too supportive initially and even the judges was doubtful, she belted out the number and proved - nothing is iimpossible when you have a dream and ACT TOWARDS IT.
I'm with you . I was also psicologically put down when very young , and get what ...A couple years ago I came to realize that I do have a good voice . I guess they also didn't like I was taller thank most of them (6'2") . By the way ..I'm 59 yrs. old and very happy !!
This duet is so powerful for many reasons beyond the actual singing which is amazing. This is a dream come true for Susan. Elaine's body language is so respectful to Susan. She is always standing facing Susan and look at the absolute look of respect she shows on her face as she watches Susan sing her solo part. She sees Susan not only as an equal, but seems protective of her as well. Wow!!! Well done ladies.

I absolutely love this! There is mad talent here, but Elaine and Susan complement each other so nicely throughout this duet. I never heard of Elaine Paige until Susan's audition! 🇺🇸(probably not the only one!) This is the only time I've ever heard Elaine sing... great voice! Susan's dream was to be "as good" as Elaine! To me.... Susan is on an entire different level of great! Everytime I hear Susan's voice instant goosebumps! She is so incredible!
Elaine Paige didn't come across as normal and I think she toned it down a bit for Susans sake. You should have seen Elaine when she was imitating Piaf, she was brilliant.

Okay, okay -- this is from some years ago now, but this video of Ms. Paige and Ms. Boyle NEVER fails to life and illuminate my heart. Such a great Lloyd-Webber composition to begin with, but for me even more sweet. As many people know, Susan's wish was "to be like Elaine". A good dream, but Susan's artistry can stand on its own. What I love about this performance is watching Elaine with her wide, open and loving eyes joining with Susan on this performance.

Okay, okay -- this is from some years ago now, but this video of Ms. Paige and Ms. Boyle NEVER fails to life and illuminate my heart. Such a great Lloyd-Webber composition to begin with, but for me even more sweet. As many people know, Susan's wish was "to be like Elaine". A good dream, but Susan's artistry can stand on its own. What I love about this performance is watching Elaine with her wide, open and loving eyes joining with Susan on this performance.
