Very happy to see this, as the R1S only got a Marginal in this test. The rating only applies to 2024 versions of the R1T, which likely means that Rivian made recent improvements in order to earn the Good. Hopefully, they are able to make these improvements on the R1S soon too.
Who is 2024 buys a Dodge Ram? Not reliable, not a good value, poor build quality, boring, basic, poorly performing active safety features that are optional (even a Toyota corolla comes standard with forward collision warning that actually works). The person who buys one of these cars screams to me that they did absolutely zero homework and know literally nothing about cars at all. lol
I think most people who buy Rams nowadays either had one before or their dad or grandpa had one before. I’ve sworn to never own a Chrysler product myself.
We have a 2021 Ran 1500 Limited. It honestly is really good quality wise and has not had any mechanical problems. Also, the AEB saved us multiple times, including once at around 75 mph.
Fortunately, the refreshed 2025 Ram 1500 will add rear seat belt pre-tensioners; according to the owner’s manual.
That’s great to hear!
Loved the detailed analysis and peer comparison. It was very informative.
Thank you!
Excellent overview. Very informative!
Thanks!
The Rivian R1T surprisingly earned a Good rating in the updated moderate overlap.

Great vid! Very helpful 😊
Thanks!
Can you please make a crash test video of the Volvo C30 2007?
Can you make a video on the Nissan Pathfinder
Yes, I have it on my upcoming video list. My next video will be on one of the Pathfinder’s competitors - the Mazda CX-90.
How do you think the Rivian R1T would do in the updated moderate overlap?
I’d like to see that, the batteries might get punctured though
I think it would perform similarly to the R1S, which scored a Marginal rating.
Well I’m still choosing the ram
Dont worry the people who buy these tailgate compact cars and end up killing the other driver anyway

Rebates. They basically give them away compared to the competition.

I spy a troll!

So not only are they super unreliable, but super unsafe too.
I mean, if you watched the whole video, the whole sector is about the same. And it scored Good on all but rear occupant moderate overlap.
@@kovu159watch some reviews on the reliability then get back to me.
Advanced driver assistance systems sound like they're great, but it may make daily driving worse by distracting vehicle operator.
Completely disagree
