I always enjoy your reactions. You notice details others (and I) miss. Also it never occurred to me you do your own captions on these. I assume UA-cam had that automated. But thanks for doing that.
I'm so happy to have finally seen season 3. And all the more so because it allows me to prolong those good times by watching your videos. I've been looking forward to it so much. Thank you so much for these videos, which give us so much detail and food for thought about our favourite series. Your content is always amazing and unique. So thank you so much for sharing it with us. In this first episode I was waiting for the shower scene so impatiently 🤭😂. I'm also thrilled to see the development of all the other characters and in particular to see Victoria/Tori's unconditional love for her little brother come across even more on screen. ♥️ See you soon for the rest of this fabulous season 3 🥰
Yay! Second best thing about a new Heartstopper series, after the new Heartstopper series, is all the awesome Thom content! This was a great episode. I'm so pleased they kept the 'I love you' as close to the comics as they possibly could. And I'm loving the increased Tori content, but I really miss Oliver from that first scene. I feel so sorry for them filming this, every time they shoot a beach scene in this series the weather is not on their side! Kit and Joe must have been freezing in the sea!
Hi Thom, sorry to hear you've not been well. I particularly loved the choice of music/song for the last scene; Tom Odell's "Best Day of My Life". I think the lyrics perfectly describe what must be going through Charlie's mind (well, and Nick's as well) - "Am I in a dream? Crazy but it seems, I think today is the best day of my life, Passed a billboard, it said something like Everything, everything's gonna be all right." That had me in tears when I heard it. Another thing I noticed; as Nick and Charlie are walking back to Charlie's house, the lyrics continue: "Laying on a car, You've got stars, I've got scars they can't see". Foreshadowing?? At this point while Nick knows about Charlie's cutting, he probably hasn't thought about any lasting bodily impact because he's so much more focused on the fact that Charlie could very easily cut so deeply that he dies from the wound. The thought of losing Charlie overwhelms him because he loves Charlie so much. I also read that Kit was concerned that he wasn't muscular enough to match Nick's physique in the comics upped his workout game. As of this season, it might be possible that Nick's chest alone weighs more than Charlie does! Thank you for these videos, I love the depth you provide in your analysis of each episode.
Gracias Thom por esto!! I was waiting for this video, and thanks for the last words with Darla! Practice your spanish with my comment... hehe Sorry Amé esta temoporada. Looking forward to see all your reactions. Thanks for your videos!!
19:34 I like that too. I like Nick and Tara’s friendship. They have good friend chemistry with each other. They also have that commonality of trying to support their partner during a difficult time.
My head is killing me today but I wanted to write some of my thoughts: Love Tori. The lack of Sarah (Olivia Coleman) was very upseting for me, I didn't expect to miss her so much. Of course I'm watching Agatha All Along, my love for Joe Locke's performance doesn't stop with Heartstopper. And it's a great show. Love Nick even more this season, didn't know it was possible. Shower scene - I thought that Nick took so long to respond to Charlie's "I love you" because he realised that he completely misread the situation in the sea and brought up Charlie's ED. And I LOVE the music. Tom Odell's Best Day Of My Love at the end was perfect. It's a depressing song but also kind of positive and it fits so well. (I've heard that it was supposed to be called Worst Day Of My Life, but he changed it.) Love your videos and I'm looking forward to the next reaction. Or anything you post.😃
I always enjoy your detailed and insightful reaction videos. I look forward to the rest of the season. You're going to have a lot of great material to dig into. I love how soft and tender the whole ILY scene was. Nick has looked stressed and worried so often, it was so sweet to see how relaxed and blissful he was when he was finally able to tell Charlie that he loves him.
I can't get enough of the newest season of Heartstopper. I've rewatched the new season every day since it's come out, and I still bawl my eyes out every time. And now I get to watch this video ❤️ . I'm looking forward to the rest of the videos, but please pace yourself for mental health. I definitely loved how well this season showcased Isaac & Charlie's friendship. Tara and Nick's friendship is also great this season, especially with how often Tara is reminding Nick to not be selfless.
It's amazing how you have fresh and unexpected insights on so many aspects of the story. Thanks as always for your videos. For me, no season of Heartstopper is complete without checking on your take.
Hope you are feeling better Thom. Thanks for your dedication to Heartstopper. You're appreciated :) Season 3, Episode 1: LOVE was, yeah: Wow! Beautiful, emotional, gentle but true ... this show is the best gift! Joe and Kit are phenomenal as ever, maybe even moreso this season... We try never to take for granted all the wonderfulness Alice and the whole Heartstopper series gang fill the show and our hearts with. 🍂 💖, k
While Joe and Kit continue to perform at such a high level in Season 3, I thought Jenny Walser wins the Actor of the Season award. She was terrific as Tori. 👏👏 Thanks, Thom, for your thorough, detailed, and informative analysis. 👊👊
Your reactions were the first thing I was looking forward to after S3 dropped and we are so back! Without giving any spoilers, I love Charlie and Isaac and Nick and Tara relationship in this season. Both Isaac and Tara are prime examples what it means to be there for someone without questions or prying, because sometimes you just need to be there. ♥ Also, another thing I’m glad you mentioned, but with all my love and respect towards Nick, his timing for important conversations is terrible. First he talks to Charlie about a rugby camp and then he’s like „so, tell me about the bullying“ and now they’re having fun in the water and out of nowhere he’s like „I think you have an ED“. I mean, I get that he’s scared ad he needs to get it off his chest, but he’s gonna give Charlie a heart attack one day. But the „I love you“ scene was absolutely perfect. I was also worried for Kit when I saw they actually had him run down the street barefoot, but he said he had some tapes on his feet for protection. But the fact that Nick replies to Charlie’s „I love you“ with „I love you too. I love you so much.“ and Charlie still thinks he’s only saying that because he feels obligated to? That’s a level of self-deprication only I thought I had 🙃
I’ve never heard of a croffle! The pic in the upper right 9:02 looks almost like what we called a “walking around waffle” when we lived in Bruges, Belgium.
12:38 and also, if there are terms within the queer community that Charlie, as a queer person, doesn't really understand, maybe it's fine for cis-het people to not know, as long as they're willing to learn and do their best to be supportive? Like, that's one more way that the show includes instead of alienating people...?
When I read the shower scene in the book, I was thinking that Charlie was saying it to Nick through the shower curtain, not the bathroom door. I have to reread the books.
I love the electric animations between Nick and Charlie this season! We did see a bit of it last season when Nick gave Charlie the hickey, but not much after that. I like how the leaves and flowers represent their love and affection, but when they have an electric flair, it’s more physical.
A lot of people have said that some of the beach scenes look like they’re in front of a green screen. I’m guessing it’s the lighting. I know that they filmed on location. But I guess there is a different director this season.
Hi from Spain!! I'm so glad you're back! I love your videos and the detail you put in your reviews. That scene at the sea!!! I was on the verge of tears… Am I the only one who wanted to be on that beach and hug Charlie??? His little baby heartbroken face when he said ”You don’t need to worry about me”, that line broke me!!! Can't wait to see your next video!!!
Thanks Thom ! Great Video as always ! Looking forward to the next ... Lovely Greetings. By the way, I think Nick is so shocked after Charlies " I love you", because he realised that obviously Charlie expected in the sea that Nick wanted to say it to him too, but his message was quite different 😢 This season is outstanding, heartbreaking and wonderfull !
WE'RE BACK, FOLKS! You know how people get post-concert depression? Like, when you've looked forward to something for a long time and finally get to experience it, you fell a little off once it's over? I think that's how I feel right now. The season was such an emotional journey. I can't even think about it without feeling like crying. In other news, I was so in love with Tori this season. I couldn't get enough of her. And every time she was on screen, she gave me all of the feels. The fact that the season opens with her - Aaaah (plus, her bedroom looks amazing). You're right, Elle looked absolutely gorgeous and flawless. Her new hairstyle and her makeup looks were amazing. The Isaac x Charlie and Tara x Nick dynamics are a delight. I loved seeing more of their friendship and their support for one another. Once again, Tao/Will is just so effortlessly funny. "THINK FAST!" 🍟😅 Thank you Thom for all the hard work you put into the video. 🫶
I also was waiting for your reactions. I loved the joy of this episode and was crying at the end but they were tears of joy. Having read volumes 4 and 5 of the books I basically know what is going to happen but they didn't move me the way the series has. The acting is just so brilliant that tissues are a requirement for the rest of the show. Can't wait to see your videos for the rest of the episodes.
Hi Tom! What a joy to find your video, I hope you will be fully recovered in a short time. I love your reactions and the way you pay attention to details, you were the only one I saw commenting on Tori's room and how the lyrics of the song matched the scene on the beach (as always, the soundtrack is impeccable) I've already watched all the episodes, I cried in all of them and now I'm going to wait to get emotional again with you. congratulations on your great work! looking forward to the reaction to the next episode.
I'm glad you're feeling a little better, and I'm glad our wait for a Thom break-down is finally over! If you are unfamiliar, I recommend you look up the aroace sunset flag-- I feel so lucky that the prettiest flag to me is mine, all mine ❤
Thom I have been dying to see your reaction to S3 🙌 My favorite reactors are the OG Heartstopper fans who are already familiar with the source material ❤ They did a spectacular job adapting Vols 4-5 to the screen. My only complaint is that they condensed it all into 8 short episodes 💔 I'm pretty sure we all would have gladly sat through twice that
I was waiting for your reactions more than anybody else's. You notice parallels and symbolism that others miss. As you mentioned Agatha... Did you consider making reaction to that as well?
SEASON 3!!!!! I literally binged it all yesterday and became metally ruined lol Hope you feel better and come back from space soon _>) felt so giddy throughout and was filled with such good feelings that i felt the need to physically express it lol. I love my kids so much and they overfill me with emotions. I also have to admit I couldn't stop my brain this entire episode reminding me that they filmed the beach stuff in Fall and how incredibly cold it was. ESPECIALLY being dunked in the water, I would absolutely *playfully* kill Nick. On Tao and Elle, I love how they show they are still building on their relationship. You can still feel the pusha nd pull as they do their best to combat their own brains. And this underlying emphasis that Tao is still trying to overachieve their relationship with Elle having to pull him back down and get him to let her treat him every now and then. A good show that love, affection, commitment, etc have to go both ways otherwise you just end up smothering the person. ALSO COMMUNICATION!!! *chef's kiss* We love communicating with partners and friends. Also applies to Tara and Darcy's situation where while not being direct about it, Tara does let Darcy know that she aboslutely loves her but she needs some space and air to breathe. Issac's whole attitude this season is so good. I'm glad they let Tobie be more active this season to show Issac being snarky, emotional, and so in love with his friends. And even with Charlie just telling Issac that he loves him. I feel like another important lesson we get is that it is good to love your friends. Love takes so many forms and you shouldn't be ashamed to love people (In a Healthy Manner). Which I also agree that it's so nice to see everyone interacting together and people getting to talk with people we haven't really seen them interact much with. The end of the episode fills me with so many emotions, i love this show so much ;-; I still need to watch Agatha, hopefully soon lol Been hyped for your reactions so I have someone to explode my feelings over this show with again. Def feel better soon and cannot wait for discussion on certain stuff later on in the season :3
Watching this, I kept wondering: how do these kids know they're in love? I mean, what even is love? I think I'm on the aromantic spectrum (but I'm not ace).
I don't do unedited reactions, as I include everything in my UA-cam-posted reactions except for silences + things like me saying "uhhh" and just generally messing up my words. Everything worth seeing is already included here for free! The Patreon is more meant for people who would like to support my videos + get early access to stuff and see pictures of my cats. :P
I noticed that you're STILL getting questions about "unedited reactions" as if you were the type of UA-camr who does the typical video comprised of the host watching the show and shouting at the screen like an unruly theater goer. While that can be entertaining, it's not you. To do those kinds of videos well you need to be VERY EXTROVERTED. People that wear their hearts on their sleeves. You're introverted and have to mull things over. There is a type of video analyzing movies/ shows in too much detail. But they don't call them reaction videos, they call them reviews or, in your case "deep dive reviews". I doubt if you can edit the titles of your old videos, but maybe if you called the reviews that instead of "reactions" you'd get less requests for "full" reactions.
I do find it odd that discussing Isaac being asexual, Charlie can't work out what aromantic means. He might not immediately understand how that works out in somebody's life but the concept can't be that difficult to grasp.
Just another point of view, but I think sometimes it can be helpful for people to acknowledge to themselves if they don’t really understand something - rather than making an educated guess and assuming they “know” what something is. I have a close family member who is aroace and it has definitely been a valuable experience to read, research and engage with different experiences that they and other aroace people have shared, to broaden my understanding. And (as ever) Heartstopper S3 has been a really good way of laying groundwork - we’ve had conversations about how representative the characters’ feelings are, both generally, and also for my family member personally. 💛
I always enjoy your reactions. You notice details others (and I) miss. Also it never occurred to me you do your own captions on these. I assume UA-cam had that automated. But thanks for doing that.
You do an amazing job, thanks so much! I love watching these videos! ❤

The smile fades/drains from Charlie’s face. Really good acting, Joe. Emmy worthy.
19:34 I like that too. I like Nick and Tara’s friendship. They have good friend chemistry with each other. They also have that commonality of trying to support their partner during a difficult time.
This is the saddest yet the best season of the show.

3:18 Excuse me they are ‘DISTRESSED’ SNEAKERS. It’s couture!
The part where Nick fell in the shower was hilarious because he was too stunned to speak🫶🏻
❤ Your comments -so thoughtful and so insiteful ~ were worth the wait! Thank you😀
I appreciate your reaction videos so much.
Hi Tom! What a joy to find your video, I hope you will be fully recovered in a short time.
I love your reactions and the way you pay attention to details, you were the only one I saw commenting on Tori's room and how the lyrics of the song matched the scene on the beach (as always, the soundtrack is impeccable)
I've already watched all the episodes, I cried in all of them and now I'm going to wait to get emotional again with you.
congratulations on your great work! looking forward to the reaction to the next episode.
I'm glad you're feeling a little better, and I'm glad our wait for a Thom break-down is finally over!
If you are unfamiliar, I recommend you look up the aroace sunset flag-- I feel so lucky that the prettiest flag to me is mine, all mine ❤
I agree! The aroace flag is my favourite too. Love the colours. 😊
Thom I have been dying to see your reaction to S3 🙌 My favorite reactors are the OG Heartstopper fans who are already familiar with the source material ❤ They did a spectacular job adapting Vols 4-5 to the screen. Im glad your feeling a little better. Your reaction videos are my favorite and I've missed Darla.
On top of being excited for s3 coming, I was so excited to see all your reactions again!!!
I love this. Can’t wait for the next one.❤😊
As usual, an insightful review that is also enjoyable.
YES been waiting on you ❤ 6 of the 8 broke me, Episode 4 is the GREATEST episode of #Heartstopper
Finally....your review is here!
I was waiting for your reactions more than anybody else's. You notice parallels and symbolism that others miss.
As you mentioned Agatha... Did you consider making reaction to that as well?
Why am I getting grandpa-vibes with Charlie in that cardigan?! 😂😂
I can't watch until later in the week but I am excited!!
Tom, I follow you from Italy, I waited to see your reaction to heartstopper 3. ❤️
SEASON 3!!!!! I literally binged it all yesterday and became metally ruined lol Hope you feel better and come back from space soon _>) felt so giddy throughout and was filled with such good feelings that i felt the need to physically express it lol. I love my kids so much and they overfill me with emotions. I also have to admit I couldn't stop my brain this entire episode reminding me that they filmed the beach stuff in Fall and how incredibly cold it was. ESPECIALLY being dunked in the water, I would absolutely *playfully* kill Nick. On Tao and Elle, I love how they show they are still building on their relationship. You can still feel the pusha nd pull as they do their best to combat their own brains. And this underlying emphasis that Tao is still trying to overachieve their relationship with Elle having to pull him back down and get him to let her treat him every now and then. A good show that love, affection, commitment, etc have to go both ways otherwise you just end up smothering the person. ALSO COMMUNICATION!!! *chef's kiss* We love communicating with partners and friends. Also applies to Tara and Darcy's situation where while not being direct about it, Tara does let Darcy know that she aboslutely loves her but she needs some space and air to breathe. Issac's whole attitude this season is so good. I'm glad they let Tobie be more active this season to show Issac being snarky, emotional, and so in love with his friends. And even with Charlie just telling Issac that he loves him. I feel like another important lesson we get is that it is good to love your friends. Love takes so many forms and you shouldn't be ashamed to love people (In a Healthy Manner). Which I also agree that it's so nice to see everyone interacting together and people getting to talk with people we haven't really seen them interact much with. The end of the episode fills me with so many emotions, i love this show so much ;-;
I still need to watch Agatha, hopefully soon lol Been hyped for your reactions so I have someone to explode my feelings over this show with again. Def feel better soon and cannot wait for discussion on certain stuff later on in the season :3
Thom I was waiting for for your review ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Going to listen to it now . I adored season 3 ❤️❤️❤️ let’s face it Heartstopper is a bit of an addiction for me 🥰
Watching this, I kept wondering: how do these kids know they're in love? I mean, what even is love? I think I'm on the aromantic spectrum (but I'm not ace).
I have already watched the new season 3 times
Thom thx for saying it with Agatha, i don't understand this hate from some people, thank you thank you 🙏🏼💜
As usuals, an isightful
8:37 At least show Nick didn’t do what book Nick did!

@@Taraxacum_sp The cringe tax in the UK is 2 p, can confirm.😆
Tao, stop talking…cringe!
