Surprised Guile is as high as he his but despite playing the game very little I can tell he's definitely in the better 1/3 of the characters although it'd be nice if I could actually do any of his combos or his supers (I'm stupid and also don't play enough). Aren't some of Akuma's moves really weak to Drive Impact? Or is that something that can apply to a couple moves for each character? I don't pay close that attention to fighting games and mostly play if a friend asks me to as I find that far more enjoyable than online against randoms so I figured it would be best to ask someone who probably knows. When my friend played him against me for a couple hours when he released I found that it really felt like some of the moves he could do, if I did a drive impact at startup of the moves, he couldn't really do anything because of how long some of them were unless that was just a skill issue on his part. It felt far more noticeable than other characters he played before.
As a Guile main for 3 games. Guile is a shoto on roids. Best dp and fireball in the game. With a charge mechanic to hinder it a bit for balance. Top 5 at the very least but I think hes top 3 behind Bison who is intentionally broken and Akuma who is naturally also always going to be top tier. The gap between everyone after top 3 is really close though.
Do you play or have any interest in Tekken as well as Streetfighter? I'd like to play either SF6 or Tekken 8 but I don't have a lot of fighting game experience, Is one game more noob friendly than the other or no?
I literally JUST went through this, I just wanted to get into a new gen fighting game, and I didnt know which one, I eventually settled on Street Fighter 6 the Modern controls are just AMAZING, and their are individual tutorials for each character, I played Tekken 7 and I enjoyed it, but never tried 8, it just didnt look much different than 7 except for heat, but IMO you will be much happier as a new player in Street Fighter 6 and the community (In Discord at least) is a great community of nice people too
Also one more thing the ranking system is AMAZING, each char has to play 10 placement matches so your never really placed in a situation where you are just getting destroyed every game, you play with people at your skill level and it slowly or quickly will start to go up, I started in Bronze, moved into silver quick and was there for a few weeks, and now I have Honda and AKI at Gold 4! Very sastifying!
Knowing you are a fellow FGC player is a welcomed suprise and at the same time not as surprising.
