Love all the design elements introduced into the room. The wood look contact paper on the desk made a huge difference.
It’s the little things. For my own desk, I also didn’t feel too precious about it. If it gets dinged up, just rewrap it.

Score on those book shelves being a perfect fit. Honestly, the room looks larger, more spacious than before. Velcro zip ties, need to check those out. And.....now I need to watch again and count how many times you said "earthy" - ha ha ha!

That was really nice. It looks like a different room. The differences are the addition of : coziness, functionality, plants for extra oxygen and charm. Its lighter and brighter. It's great.

I’m so glad to see you use your chalk that was your only purchase from that huge ass crafting resale shop. 😂😊 By the way, my mom was the Queen 👸 of Contact paper back in the 50s and 60s. She was a writer, always had an office and all accessories were coordinated with Contact paper, including her desk blotter, the handle of her letter opener, her can covered to use as a pencil holder (as well as the pencils themselves) and spiral bound notebooks. I swear she kept them in business. 😂😊 ❤the Bro-Hoe style.

The shelves fit so perfectly, but the blinds gave you hell....a life lesson on balance, lol. I love the simplicity of the room, but it still has that wow factor. It's like my office (my whole damn house, actually) with the builder grey walls... we work with it.

Oh I forgot! I have to say that the rug is everything! Made the room so chic so cozy so colorful and warm and just changed the whole vibe! And I LOVED that it is thin! I hate high profile or thick rugs so much even without carpet 😎😎😎😎😎😎

I remember the closest office with the peel and stick wallpaper from dollar tree (that I almost went to every dollar tree in New York looking for the same one) .. Yes! I totally forgot to mention. They wanted to downsize to a slimmer, simpler one to sit on the shelves since that other one was a big boy and not used that often.

Making an office functional but cozy while staying minimal is not so easy in a newbuild. Also, Ihate my adjustable desks surface! But I thought how awful it would look, wrapping that round edges...thought about wrapping it with fabric soaked in liquid starch (=worked on melamin chairs) but then... i could never drink coffee while working again, cause i cant be trusted not to spill it....never thought of NOT wrapping the edges. Genius !
In a dream world, one would. But the curves would looks so crunchy. I also saw that a lot of them just had the top veneered anyway when I was looking at inspo versions. (Even they know.) Also, great to know the fabric worked for melamine chairs. That’s so cool!!!
yes, it was awful dormroom furniture! worked great held up for years, removed it and chairs looked exacty like before and i just washed the fabric and made pillow covers out of it!@@LaughCryDIY
