- Finally posting the 4th game of the franchise. Considered for many people of the Tenchu fanbase the black sheep of the franchise, downgrading the combat and mainly focus on stealth. In my opinion, it's a good game on it's own way. Hope you enjoy the video.
Notes: For some reason, when forcing the game to 60 FPS, the characters jumps far longer than normal. So i've used to my advantage in some stages, hope this doesn't bother anyone.

Tenchue series needs a FULL remake from PS1 through PS2 stories in Unreal Engine.

It's under-rated in my opinion. It's still a good game... and still by the original creators of the franchise from Tenchu 1 and 2...
The Wii version is much better though. To play and visuals

@@shinobiofwar13 Wii version runs perfect on dolphin! But do yourself a favor and buy a real wiimote! They are cheap now and work on PC through dolphin emulator! It is a much better experience to enjoy the game as intended...
It did release on the Wii originally October 23rd 2008... then PSP in 2009. But this game was built FOR the Wii...

I also have the PSP version too. And the Japanese version as well. It sucks this one didn't do so well
this is quite the departure compared to its predecessors makes me wonder about the psp's limitations being the case though not a fan of a narrator tutorial at the start the text should be more than enough to learn how to do the new move sets and the psp screen isn't THAT small to read what to do at the time but I'm just nitpicky in matters of immersion

@shinobiofwar13 i agree. I have no idea why they drasticaly changed her. I wanted to see Kagura at her peak too but they just got rid off her :(

I don't mind they changed the combat and stealth mechanics at all. But my problem is that how they left us with the most hideous cliffhanger of all the Tenchu franchise without continuation.
Apparently it was supposed to have a sequel. Tenchu 5 and 6 was planning to be released, but they cancelled the project

Not really sure how this game can call itself Tenchu, the story is terrible.
Yeah. I'm not a huge fan of the story as well. Why they removed the main character's weapons? It wasn't a good choice in my opinion. And making Rikimaru slaughter his own allies doesn't make sense to me at all. Since in the previous game he was being careful to not being seen and didn't kill any of Gohda's guards, here in this game he looks like a different person.
@shinobiofwar13 And Onikage becoming Ayame was really stupid too, laughable even. I don't think the developers knew what they were doing with this game, which is why I don't consider it to be canon. Tenchu ended with Wrath Of Heaven for me.
@SenzuZeroZ There was a planned trilogy of 4,5, and 6 but it never happened... I still had fun with this game at release date. it was built from the ground up for the Wii and one of the better mature titles on the platform in my opinion. It's not in the same league as the original series for sure but it's not a terrible game in of itself.. It was made by the original developers of Tenchu 1 and 2 too..
@@lucasnooker It's far from the worst game I've ever played, it's just not Tenchu in my eyes. I however respect your opinion.
@SenzuZeroZ Yeah, I suppose. But that's the same way people felt about Resident Evil in 2005 when it switched from its classic formula to its action formula. It's different, but both are still good games. My fondest memories are of the 1998 original though! That soundtrack hit different!

And besides, you can't kill innocent people in this game with stealth kill
