In Florida, you have to go to your local Tax collectors office/dmv and there you do the hazmat test and then they take your picture and finger prints when you pass the test, then to have to go to a place like identogo to get your twic
Atleast they take your fingerprints there. I had to go about 45m to my nearest Twic office. That’s clutch
I passed my hazmat test yesterday in Belle Glade FL they didn’t do the fingerprints for me , they just told me I gotta schedule it online. Idk how to do it .

Thank God I already have Twic and cdl. Just need tanker and hazmat added to my license.
Live in Houston, TX. Went on DPS website. Set appointment to take hazmat test. In just 3 days. I took the hazmat test. Passed, paid $25 for test. Then I went to go get the fingerprints at identigo. I already had my twic so I got a discount on my hazmat. They run hand and hand. My new license with my X endorsement (I have tankers too) came in about 60 days.

@@jaylen0409 so I got lucky. I took it before the ELDT requirement came into play. Once I heard they were going to do it. I studied & took the test asap to avoid going through the ELDT course.
So I have to take the online course and then after I pass the online course I go to the dmv and take the test and after that I do fingerprints and wait for the results?

I’m from Miami, I did my twic card application online then went to the Twic Office near the Port Of Miami in September (only took 5 days to mail). 1/3/23 passed my Hazmat exam, our dmv does all the fingerprinting and processing but I was told my license will come in the mail within 45 days
I also have my tanker endorsement

@baby The TSA has two lists of felonies that would disqualify applicants from passing the background (regardless of TWIC or HazMat); There is a lifetime-list & a 7-year list. If you committed anything on the lifetime list (like treason, sedition, murder, certain RICO-laws, and a number of other "extreme" felonies, etc), it does not matter how long ago it happened...you'll be denied. However, the 7-year list only goes back 7-years. This includes "severe" felonies (like r@pe, arson, smuggling, extortion, manslaughter, kidnapping, etc). Check out the TSA Disqualifying felonies lists to see if your charges fall under the lifetime-ban; If you havent gotten a felony-conviction in the last 7years, you really only need to check the Permanent Disqualifying list
@@charmetapain7059Yes, you can have the Tanker-endorsement without the HazMat. Or you can get your HazMat-endorsement with getting the Tanker. Or you can get both

In Texas I took an ELDT hazmat course for $60 then went to DMV for the actual test. There they take your picture, pay $11 fee and have to get 24/30 answers correct. Fingerprints at identoGo.
How long did it take you to get your new hazmat cdl after the fingerprints?

So, a quick question. Please clarify. So, if you already have your TWIC, all you need to pay for is the written exam itself correct? I already have my TWIC. Only looking to add tanker and hazmat to my class A.
If your in North Carolina if you already have your Twic. Yes you only have to do the written exams at the dmv. When the dmv runs the background check and your Twic should be on file with your fingerprints already. That’s how it worked for me. I didn’t need to go get finger printed again for only the enforcements. But you already need to take the hazmat course. I would do that first and then go take the written exam at the dmv.

For this situation: did you need to pay for a TWIC reduced fee for the DMV to look up your TWIC card and fingerprints or does the DMV look it up at no charge if you already have a TWIC card.

@@Canecorso14Yes. It’s just a written test. But you need your CDL permit or Class A to take that written test.

It’s gonna be hard trying to find something bro. It also depends on your area. Sometimes you gotta go regional first before going local to get the experience required

The eld is what you use in your truck to keep up with your hours and loads. The first app I showed was the hazmat course

Some companies do but not all. Most companies are automatic now though

No you can take the test whenever you want but you need to get the fingerprints and background done before getting hazmat

Do you have to get another medical screening if I just got my CDL Class A and medical card? I just got it last month, would I need to complete a whole new physical? I am from Texas. Any information is appreciated.
Usually the company will make you take another dot physical even if you already took one it just depends

is the hazmat also tanker? it sounds like tanker is separate from hazmat, yet your video only mentions where to go in order to get your hazmat endorsement and i think i didn't see any steps or where to sign up for the tanker endorsement

How long does this take to accomplish?
The longest part is the tsa background and fingerprint check. You could take the hazmat course tonight & be done tonight. You could study for the dmv test and have them done tomorrow. You physically have to get your fingerprints taken and depending on your state you might need a appointment. If you don’t already have a Twic you could expect it to take 1-4 weeks
(QUESTION) I already have 2 YEARS & 4 MONTHS experience. I have also obtained a Hazmat Endorsement in the past. Do I still need to go through all the steps provided in this video to renew the endorsement?
if its not current then yes, i would imagine.
@nathanhector1985 I have it now. The process was pretty simple as someone who renewed it. (1) Fingerprints at a TSA location $87, and (2) I passed the written hazmat dmv test $5. Since I was already at the TSA office, I decided to get a TWIC card.

Why skip the question? Isn’t it better to guess than to get the question wrong anyway by leaving it blank?
Great question! When you skip the question it doesn’t count against you. The tests it self is 30 & 20 questions but it’s pulls from a pool of questions that are maybe 50-60. The objective is to just get enough right to pass the test. So by skipping a question you don’t know gives you the opportunity to see a question you might know.

I was able to add my tankers with my permit, but hazmat you need the cdl, im out of Louisiana
Tank is the only endorsement you can add to a permit. You will have to add the others after you get your CDL.

Getting it wrong counts against your score. Skipping it doesn’t hurt your score

No they already have it on file. I had my Twic card before and didn’t have to go do it again. May be different if your in a different state though

I just finished getting my fingerprints at identigo and they told me I have to wait for TSA to approve my application and can take up to 90 days… how long does that typically take?
A guy told me at Identigo that you should get a letter in the mail a few weeks after your fingerprints that clears you and the letter is enough for DMV. Have you received anything yet from TSA?

Passed my hazmat and tanker. In June 2022, how long to pass the background check? I went and did all ALL the things I needed to do (fingerprints, background check, etc etc etc) it was 86.50 to get all that done. I'm reaching out to everyone that has this video out there I need the TSA to get it done for me.
I already had my Twic card so I took a couple days or less before it sent back the dmv. Now what I can tell you though is that the process for Twic took close to 2 months before I got my Twic card in my hand. I’m hoping it won’t take that long for you though

@paulhernandez8697 as far as the background check is concerned that's hard to say, it does depend on what is on your background check and it's hard to say what they are looking for when you apply. And no you would not need to retake the general knowledge test to get that endorsement.
@@paulhernandez8697It depends on what the convictions are for. The TSA website lists all the crimes that are disqualifying for Hazmat.

Yessir!!! My bro! I had only Doubles and triples at first but once I got all my endorsements, bro I apply to any job now and then endorsements come handy fast. Some jobs pay you more just because you got them even if you not using them all on that job. Tanker life here and I gotta say tanker life is $$$. I always tell people to get their hazmat and tanker, even if they don’t do those jobs now. It’s always good to have those two endorsements because those two alone, so many endless opportunities around the country. I hesitated for the longest time, but then once I got them two years ago, now I definitely never wanna lose those two endorsements. Big $$$. I hope your interview goes easy as cake, bro. 🫡👌💯💪
Thanks brodie! I hesitated myself for the passed to 2 years about getting them. 6 months after I got my cdl I wanted to but procrastinating held me back for so long. You can take Tanker Endorsement test while you have your CLP. You have to have your CDL before you can add HazMat Endorsement.
