I think the speakers you left on the curb were worth far more than everything else you picked up.
2nd to the Paul
Those Trace Elliot pro cabs would sell for quite a bit online or locally
@@rogerp6903 yeah! And thats not a offshore Paul either!?? Wife or girlfriend issue or kicked out of a band?!?
@@franklinj1038 that was fake$150 guitar.. Those speakers were worth 600$ because they were real .
@@franklinj1038 yeah it was fake. You can tell by the truss rod, or lack thereof and the white serial number it's fake.
One way to see if it is a real Gibson just touch the headstock and if it breaks you got a 100% real Gibson lol!
😂 not to far from the truth.
@@clintbriant8508 Yup...The evil smile
i never broke a headstock on my gibsons, who is actually that stupid to do so? especially if you are aware of a weak point on anything you own, if you take care of your shit, then no worries, lol
I have six Gibson guitars not a broken headstock yet.
SG’s lol
Mate, you should've dumped all that 25 cent junk and loaded up those Trace Elliot PA cabs. 🤣
When you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail. He is a scrapper and he's constantly throwing stuff he can sell for 10x the scrap value into the trunk (with the scrap crap). It's the homeowners that really boggle my mind though. People are just spolied, lazy, and dumb. A LOT of what he shows us on those curbs could at least be donated, if not sold. I think the scrappers and cord cutters are a bit wasteful, but I guess they get some points for keeping at least some of the stuff out of the landfill.
They’re worth more than his disgusting sh1tmobile.
Bass cabs
So nice sub bass...😍😍👍👍👍
Those cabs were really old
Good that you saved the electric guitar. A Chibson in that condition is a solid $150 instrument.
The inlays are correct for that model Gibson, it is a Les Paul Custom model which uses block inlays.
The lower level Les Paul Standard use the trapezoid inlays.
Specifically the Les Paul Custom you found is a reissue version of a 1954 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty which uses the older P90 pickups.
And yes, "Grover" who made those tuning machines is located in China.
Those large Trace Elliot monitor speakers are worth about $150 each.
It's hard for me to believe someone put it in the trash.
@@qua7771 Agreed
Gibson custom’s have “Ebony” necks, not rosewood. The guitar is a fake in every way. The wiring is a big giveaway. The finish is not Gibson, the yellowing of binding only occurs with years of age. Fake tuners, and the inlays are not pearloid, or MOP. They look like white stickers.
@@fluxerflixer1 I don't think that there is any doubt that it's a chibson from Ali express, or HD gate etc...
Your right that the RR board really sticks out, and the binding is almost orange.
Vintage Gibson's didn't use MOP, but celluloid inlays.
Too bad he didn't have more room for those speakers!
I grew up with cheap copies of Gibson and fender guitars , anything prodoudst now is 100 percent better than what I had available 40 years ago , I would be happy to find that guitar .
My first was a Hondo LP copy. It worked it stayed tune it sounded OK, and it looked super cool for a 13 year old kid in 1975. I played it everyday for 4 years till I bought a real Gibson. I loved that guitar.
Totally agree . Grab a new nut, clean the body and the pots , grab some new p90s and strings and you are g2g.
@@TheJimburke -- Hondo guitars were very well made. Most of the early Japanese stuff is as good or better than most Gibsons, it's just that back then everyone wanted a real Gibson and in fact they still do. I had a 1976 Ibanez copy of the Gibson Explorer and it was amazing - just as good as any Gibson. I sure wish I'd had kept the damned thing, and they're pretty expensive now too if you can even find one. This is what it looked like, and this is Pete Thorn who's an amazing guitarist. ua-cam.com/video/hTGthN1uKTY/v-deo.html
Trace Elliott are a famous British bass guitar amplifier speaker brand. They’re worth something now. Those are Speakon connections.
Those speaker boxes probably had UK Celestion speakers in them worth at least $150 a speaker. You could have just pulled the speakers and left the boxes.
Yeah, but they're most likely cheepo celestions in those trace eliots
Y'all in the comments are fuxing ridiculous! That's a free electric guitar that Looks like a Gibson Les Paul! Who cares if it's a knock off! It's free! I'd play the hell out that guitar and be grateful as fux!!
Those Trace Elliott speakers go for quite a lot of money here in the U.K they were quite expensive when new.
I can't believe you left those speakers.😢
i can tell in a second on that gibsun les paul. look at the logo.
that is a U not a O in Gibson , thst one is Gibsun, with a U.
I too would have got rid of the junk & grabbed all the speakers.
Never Leave Trace Elliott anything on the curb pure rookie
That’s a sweet guitar. From what I can see it looks like it’s missing the nut. I’ll bet it’ll play well once you fix it, give it a set up and new strings
I trashpicked a pretty decent MIM Squier P- bass. Needed a nut and some cleaning and setup. Great tone. After about a decade I had to put a replacement neck since bass necks can go bad.
Trace Eliot as mentioned decent bass rig.
Chibsons with P90 pickups?
Sweet find man !
The guitar would make interesting wall art.
Its a chibson, giveaways are the headstock/tuner spacing and the flat head screw posts on the bridge
Cool looking guitar 🎸. Im not sure what you found there without seeing in person. Most likely something from banggood made to resemble a less Paul custom. Someone removed the nut on the neck & that's a bad sign. Most likely has a warped neck, tuning issues. How did you make out on the Gibsun lol😂 ?? . Awesome content, glade I found your channel. I found a Rolmex one time. If I had the Rolmex & that gibsun, I would be ready to shoot a bonjovi vid . I cant sing, but neither can jon nowadays 😔 lol .🎬✨️👍
Yeah its a Chibson,..as long as it works, in that the electronics work and the neck is not warped.I would say $25-$45
Come on its worth more than that. Typical Lp guy to say that
Those Trace Elliot speakers are ace, I’d taken them in a heartbeat
A custom chibson but still cool!! Nice finds!
Wish i had that guitar id fix it and play it... love the look of it.
The logo and bridge tell you it's a Chibson... Still an interesting find though... I would have definitely taken the Trace Elliots 😊
Wow!!!!!!!! Dude You have the Best area I've ever seen.. as a guitar player I woulda been on my knees cryin n praisin the lord
Trace Elliot bass cabs. These are cabinets for a bass guitar. The connectors are simple 2 wire speajer cable.with a 1/4 inch mono the cabs are certainly worth something. Speakers might be blown up but if not you could likely get a grand from them
Soon as I seen the Binding color I knew it was a Chibson lol. But some of those Knockoff Les Paul’s are actually Well built.
I’d buy it for like $150.
haha, That car is the greatest!! love the inside!!
Even my grandmother could tell that's a chibson but people use as mod platforms could have replaced parts which a quicklook from means i could tell nothing on it is worthwhile but you never know when someone tosses a abr one, Seymour Duncan pups, Dunlop straplocks, real grovers, hell even Gibson knobs and trust rod covers have wealth. Still could get 50 bucks out that guitar realistically but yeah speakers could of been worthwhile. You never know had a friends grandfather run across a 70s pancake body black custom in a junk pile shit like that does happen you look long enough not everyone knows guitars.
Dude you left more good stuff than you took. I scored a pair of Magnepan Magneplanar SMg1 speakers laying out by someone's trash. Also had the metal bracket feet laying there. Incredible sounding speakers!
I'd love to have that Les Paul just to learn to play on and it is a copy, it has an epiphone bridge. Let me know if you want to get rid of it, thanks.
Is the body one pice of wood or do you see a split? Same with the stock
I think that yellow thing is to plant seeds evenly spaced. It makes the holes for them.
It's an aerator...you push it into the lawn to provide air and water routes to the roots.
Those speakers were the real score
True vintage gib would have the numbers on the back of the neck, but it's a nice guitar 😊
Blowing off audio gear while taking McDonald's glasses... wow.
Wow this is so nice guitar! I like color so much! Wowww! Looks great!
Love your Hoardermobile!
Good looking guitar
Those with little mods can sound awesome
We’re is the front seat
the two determining factors that the guitar is A Chipson.. one the headstock wasn't broken, two the truss-rod adjustment screw was not correct. its worth is between $100, and $300
I've had Les Pauls for over 40 years and never had a broken headstock...
True. I did break mine twice on a 68 Standard Les Paul. Once when playing out without strap locks, and the other as an idiot picking up cables in my studio. The guitar was on a stand when I was picking up cables on the floor. Man was I an idiot.. LOL
The trace elliot speakers were worth some bucks.
What was in the box that you couldn't show?
What was in the supply box
The "Grover" Muppet pun made this worth watching.
Gotta love Grover!
I wouldn't have had to think twice about taking the speakers, no brainier for me !
It is a Chibson. Had the same one I ordered from China. Costs me $250 delivered to my door. Worth about $50
Chibson for sure!! Can tell by the bridge
Les paul customs have ebony fretboards. That one is clearly rosewood, meaning its probably a chinese replica
I work on a garbage truck and one time it was completely disassembled but I got to put back together and completely restored but it was in 1964 ish Gibson SG
do you still have this guitar?
1:01 - Nice tool box !!!👍
Where do you live?
Because I need to move there!
So what if it's a Chibson. It can be modified into a great sounding guitar. New pots, pickups, tuners, some new knobs and maybe a new bridge and tailpiece and you're good to go.
what was in the box?
Why did you leave the Trace Elliott there ?!???
I caught a glimpse of the back of the headstock. There's a square stamp made in USA. there's a stamped serial number check it out .
Did you spot street first with lame app?
I'm thinking that car belongs on the curb.
How do you find more stuff like this when someone is going to be evicted in their stuff's going to be outside
Lovely car sir !!!!
Been awhile since you have found the elusive orange spaghetti, good to see it on your channel again.
You were so excited about the guitar that you missed the vacuum cord right next to it. Sorry Charlie. At least you aren’t calling me Know Body this video.
wow that guitar looks Awesome`!
Your car is like a Skip on wheels! The state of it!
where the heck do you live? that neighborhood throws away some nice stuff.
Is this available?
Good stuff
What’s in the box?
A fine 2006 Gibson les paul black beauty with upgraded P90s pick ups... Great find. Hope you got good cash for that
Chibson les paul. No Gibson would have the epiphone bridge and binding THAT yellowed. But it is a nice guitar none the less. Some of them are worth a lil bit. If they play.
That’s a good thing the guitar was right where you put it
I actually found a 72 Les Paul Custom in a trash out in a trailer park in Michigan. It had some sort of glass like paint on the top that was so thick that it was covering the pickup rings. Long story short at the time I wasn't much of a guitar player. I met this dude who was and we made a deal for some drums. Well turns out the drums weren't his to trade so I gave them back to the owner but never got the Les Paul back. So essentially it was stolen from me. I heard it was taken to Elderly Instruments in Lansing for a refinish but was unable to pay for it. So I imagine someone got it.
I cannot for the life of me figure why someone would throw away a guitar, Gibson or not, in that good of a shape?
Its insane!
And suspicious.
And the speakers! I'm thinking a break up and someone wanted someone else's shit out of the house who didn't have a clue on the values!
Kudos to you for finding a Gibson Les Paul along with pa speakers. The wooden speaker stands match mine, I'd love to have them!!! I really wish you would if grabbed the speaker stands. I would pay you for that specific model. Awe, was it a Chinese knock of gibson?
Yep .bridge gave it away .pots inside gave it away
Where’s the truss rod nut neck is likely hosed on that pos.
Engraved serial number, Engraved 'made in USA', lack of fret nibs, wonky 'G' in Gibson, truss rod end, cheap fake Grovers, slot in bridge adjustment poles, Alpha pots, skewy Gibson 'diamond' on headstock, poor rear cover fit, awful color binding, plastic fretboard inlays, all giveaways it's a fake.
How heavy is it?
The orange binding and logo says fake Gibbo to me. Those Trace Elliott wedge monitors looked worth having.
What is it at 9:59 ?
All the hallmarks of a Chibson. People would want it to fix it up, however since it’s a forgery it’s illegal to sell in the US.
good job man
Truely amazing.
The vid had me thinking of the movie, "Men at Work" where Emilio Esteves and Charlie Sheen are garbage dudes... found a body in a trash can....and the line, "someone is throwing away a perfectly good while boy. " 👍
How can you tell by the pots??? It has p90 pickups.. they probably just switched out the pickups
it’s a fake guitar. the chinese copies use real serial numbers. the off logo, cheap wiring, metric bridge, rosewood fretboard, paint stamped SN, truss rod cover, fret ends, etc all show that it’s fake.
A Les Paul Custom Black 1954!
You also let the dehumidifier that has copper aluminum radiators inside, those plastic nuts on the back of the faucet you can break those you know
Trace Elliot gear should never be left behind!
It looks like the truss rod adjustment on that chibson was snapped off which would definitely make it a piece of junk and not worth very much at all
Chibson. Binding color, super shiny poly finish and headstock split diamond are the dead giveaway features. Still a cool freebie, but definitely counterfeit.
What's with people leaving all that random garbage in boxes & bags & stuff on the curb? Old sinks & stuff? Wouldn't you normally haul most of that kind of stuff away somewhere?
Where I live, I only see garbage:& recycle cans at the curb, nothing else laying out like that.
Also I'm curious about the story of your car.. It looks partially gutted inside?
Not everywhere. In US cities it's common for two trash trucks to come by on trash day, one picks up the big items you put on the side of the road and another comes through to empty the garbage can. This also gives the opportunity for people to ride by and if they see something they want to salvage they just stop and losd it up. That's how my neighborhood does it. As for my part of the US anyway, Georgia.
Nopeee. Not in my neighborhood, whatever you throw out to the curb, they’ll throw it in there. Furniture, lumber scraps, you name it…..
And yeah he gutted the car so he can have more room for stuff and bigger objects…..do you really need a story to piece out the obvious 😂
The (chibson) Chinese Gibson Les Paul guitar needs a nut and truss rod cover And a good set up. I like the Counterfeit copy P90 pickups. Do all that you can get $200-$300 out of it easy.
I didn’t know the television show hoarders had a prequel
The wiring was the dead giveaway. Still surprised they tossed it. I had a Chinese 'Gibson 'LP that wasn't bad along the lines of an Epiphone.
I have a feeling the neck was warped beyond use. U can see that the truss rod cover was off and the owner was probably trying to adjust it without success. Thing probably buzzes worse than a 1000 bees.
Les Pauls do have square inlays on the neck! I would have it checked out by someone! They can tell what year by the numbers on the pots on the back of the tone and column knobs! I would love to find a Black Les Paul in the trash!
9 digit serial numbers started in 05 if im not mistaken. I can’t see this guitar yellowing that much from 05 to now plus everything else about the guitar looks pretty new. That on top of the fact that it’s a les paul custom in the trash makes me think it’s one of the fakes you get from china that looks real but everything about it is cheap and the person probably never could get it to play right and nobody would buy it so they finally just threw it away.
slotted screws in the bridge tell me it's a chibson.
@@brandonsergeon5915
ether a knockoff or someone replaced a bad bridge..
Well for starters it's a GibSUN.
I can’t believe you didn’t take those Trace Elliot speaker cabs lol
All one needed to do was replace the nut. And I still want to know what was in the "Supplies" box.
Did you ever go back for those Trace Elliot speakers?
Wow! Very Lucky! 🎸
I genuinely found a fender jaguar sticking out of a bin. The neck was completely snapped but the body was fine. I traded it for an electric piano
How much for the Paul
definitely a Chibson i could immediately tell by the truss rod style and the tune o matic … not an abr-1 and the spacing is metric
Check the seriak number at a Gibson database. The truss rod cover is gone.
Dumpster diving during spring clean up is allways score city deluxe
I found a Hammond organ on a curb once, it's still broken , but it's a Hammond.
Should have grabbed the speakers n took em to a Music Go Round. You'd gotten probably 300 for em
I wouldn't be surprised im about to launch mine into the trash can I've tried everything to set it up and get rid of buzzing frets and it's a complete lemon straight from guitar center
Checked the serial number. Isn't that a coincidence? It (supposedly) was made on June 20th 2006, outside the US that is 20-06-2006.
The slotted screw adjustment on that bridge is a giveaway
A Gibbie has threaded pin posts and the wheel under is how to adjust height
I know this is 2 years ago, but the crappy cut truss rod hole is dead giveaway that the les paul is counterfeit. Just for future reference.
