When I saw the first few scenes I thought it was going to just be some regular thriller about two young girls who got lost. Then I heard the first couple jingles of the Exorcist theme and I recognized it right away and seeing that girl walk into the church, I instantly knew that it was the sequel. Hearing the full theme, seeing the photograph of Regan, and then finally seeing the image of young Chris dissolving into her as an elderly woman. Insane feeling. The other audience members could feel it too.

The sequel is going to be called Exorcist Deceiver. Set for release March 2025, around Easter I think. I'm guessing the 3rd and final movie is going to be called Exorcist Revealer, or the Exorcist Revealed. ?????
At least the original The Exorcist, even though fictional, tried to keep it somewhat real with demonic possession. In my opinion, the movie Nefarious would be the closest thing to an actual demonic possession. The problem with this knock-off The Exorcist movie a demon wouldn't by choice enter into a church.
I am marking this down on my calendar so I don't forget . Saw the exorcist when I was a young girl a got the best fright of my life can wait to see this one.
Spoilers: The first one, aside from a few clips, centred one room! Some of the creepiest clips for me were just of the bedroom door. You just felt so unsafe and scared everytime you were in the house. Also, the relationship between Reagan/demon and the priest is something I’ve still not seen done and was so authentic and real to me. Those moments before the exorcism where they would just be chatting but knowing that one was deceiving the other was just brilliant. And the hypnotic scene!! So many amazing moments! Including regans gradual decline from sweet girl to terrifying demon! It made you feel like it could happen to anyone and they could be living next door or in your home! Last point, the thing that made this the greatest of all time was the dedication and acting of all those involved. But Linda Blair’s performance was like no other and still not been done to this day! And the voice over for Linda as demon was just… chefs kiss. Saying that, I’ll never watch the movie again because it was so damn scary!!! The new one looks very… Hollywood. The scene of the girl in the church looked a little cheap and done, but I kind of like the modern take of them being in an asylum! I’m sure it’ll be great though! Loved seeing Chris MacNeil!
The original was great and so scary because the evil seemed real and almost very intelligent. The conversations had between each party were so well done. I think they've missed the point a bit but I hope it's good.
There are some pretty major holes already that I’m seeing. For example, Kris saying that every method from every religion to perform the exorcism seems to be some Hollywood pushed agenda of inclusion whereas Bill Blatty, himself a Roman Catholic, understood the historical and evidential cases of exorcism have all been tied to Catholicism. In fact, it was the Roman Rite that was performed in the original. Seems like they’re just trying to play on all the “shock items” that the original movie utilized to terrify its viewers and they are disregarding the RICH story that is being told in the novel and the movie. There will never be something even approaching what the original Exorcist movie has awakened and I’m not surprised that this ultimately will flop due to poor writing that emphasizes the experience and doesn’t world build in the slightest
@@modernpeasants7 totally in agreement. It's a cool idea but I don't think it's possible to do justice to the story. Especially since the original was a pioneer. It is considered one of the greatest films ever. And it brought genuine terror into people's lives

Excellent use of the OG music. DGG made one GREAT Halloween, one FUN but flawed film & one that imo is awful but I’m still so very glad we have that trilogy. As a huge fan of the OG, the TV show and Exorcist III I’m quite excited
The original is a cultural phenomenon. Hard footprints to walk in. As much as I have expectations that this will be quality, I am equally prepared to be disappointed.
Looks pretty creepy however I highly doubt it's anything like the Original... I recall the first one my parents couldn't find a sitter I ended up in the drive in theater I screamed n hid in the floorboard having been raised in a Christian Church it was even more horrifying because that story is based on a True Story of a young boy who became possessed after having used a Ouija board. I am for certain going to see this one excited about it .
I remember lying to my Mom and Dad and I got them to go to the Drive-in Theater screen that was showing the Exorcist. I was only 6 or 7 years old. I also was a good kid. I went to Church every Sunday with my Grandparents, and I went to a Catholic school. The devil scared the heck out of me and that girl's appearance terrified me. I had nightmares for over a year! I had bunk beds and in my dream the beds would start to shake. Then I'd see a shadow above me. As I moved to look that thing's face would drop down over the side of the top bunk, inches from my face, glaring and laughing. I'd wake up screaming. Yeah lying to get to see this movie BACKFIRED BIG-TIME!!!!!
As for this movie being as good as the first? No I don't think that's remotely possible. For one, the original movie caught the world off guard. Something like this was never seen or ever mentioned. Demonic possessions were something that was mentioned only in or around the Vatican or Churches. Or maybe Ed and Lorraine Warren? But not in a movie. The fact as you said it was based off of an actual exorcism that did occur in the 1940's if I remember correctly, and that in itself was extremely unnerving and terrifying. Especially if you had been taught the evils of the devil. This movie captured ⚡⚡lightning⚡⚡in a bottle. They hit on a primal fear and with the visually sickening and horrific looks of the little girl and her hideous voice, it was beyond ANYTHING that ANYONE ever saw before or since. Now while I don't think that this will top the original, nothing will, I do think it has the potential for continuing the story in a horrific and scary way. With all of the technology now, I can't imagine what they could potentially do or create? Or they could just keep it real and go straight up make-up and little to no effects. Either way now that Linda Blair(Regan McNeil) has joined the cast along with Ellen Burstyn (Chris McNeil), I can see this being a interesting and powerful horror movie.
Nothing will ever be as good as the first. It's a timeless classic horror movie. But, that being said, it's bringing in new elements. Two souls at risk, the use of different exorcisms from different religions, and bringing Chris in to try and help? It makes me all giddy
It’s really interesting because it’s not only 1 girl it’s actually 2 of them , so it makes you think compared to the original is it 2 entities or just one that effected them !!
2:12-2:14. This line now means NOTHING because I heard in an article that pazuzu isn't coming back and that the demons possessing the girls are entirely new
I think there may be a twist that regan was never actually cured. I think pazuzu left to make the priest jump and then went back into her but remained hidden
@@jsb6975.ah.crapbaskets newsflash bro demons prefer to remain hidden. so what better way than to kill 2 exorcists re enter regan and just act normal. she may of even just accepted it. it is called perfectly possessed
@@Bruce1983 well guess what? It still wouldn't be a good addition because it would still take away from the _original._ You know, the one everyone actually likes? Pretty easy way to turn fans off to the new movie.
I hope I’m wrong, but unfortunately, this does not look like it will do much that’s new or interesting. Every exorcism movie is essentially the same in terms of shocks and plot. Blatty tried to make a very different movie with “Legion” back in the day and the studio did a hatchet job on it, making him call it “Exorcist 3.” If you really want to see a different film in the same universe, go watch the mostly-intact (but varying in video quality) Legion director’s cut. It’s the second-best movie in the original Exorcist universe that actually tries for some creative novelty. But like I said, I hope I’m wrong and that this film is great in new and fresh ways.
It hasn't been released - you have to go to a theater in October and buy a ticket and sit yourself down in a velvet seat with some popcorn just like the nation did 50 years ago instead of begging for someone to put it up on youtube so you can watch it on your phone
I hope they push it like the original did. Tho given today's sensibilities, that might not happen. Honestly, what has any of us seen in a major motion picture this century that has something similar to a kid actor stabbing herself in the vulva and shouting "LET JESUS FUCK YOU!"?---without it being controversial?
Damn everyone sayin weak just cause they upset Halloween ends didn’t get to their expectations, you wanna make a horror movie that is good go ahead I’d like to see you try and fail miserably and then ask why the worlds so cruel
THANK YOU! I just got Halloween Ends on Blu-Ray for a gift. While it wasn't the best movie, it wasn't horrible. Granted it fell away from the beginning, however one movie doesn't mean that the rest of his works will not be decent. The Exorcist has an iconic plot. Halloween has been done, re-done, re-done again, and again. H20, and lastly this one. Now with Linda Blair just signing on to reprise her role as Regan McNeil, and Ellen Burstyn as Chris McNeil, Regan's mother, I have a feeling at least this one will be pretty much in line with the original movie plot. It won't surpass it, no movie ever will, but it can really add to the mythology and the past terror. Just saying, this has potential!
Very rarely do you see this. A demonic entity possessing two bodies at the exact same time. This demon is insanely powerful to be able to do that. Bc usually a demon can only possess one body at a time.
Yes because there is no way this movie can compete with that bimbo on the same day so they made the wise choice and moved the release date a week earlier. Too many teenage boppers will want to see tay tay so not a good idea to release this at the same time. October 6 is my birthday so this movie will be a great birthday present for myself. My wife won’t watch this kind of stuff so I’m going solo. But I’m looking forward to it.
Argh...still don't beat that 1973 one...sorry man. I am all for the Exorcist 1973, all others wanna be better, but I love that they brought Reagan mom's in and mentioned Reagan too. Awesome.
This trailer is the perfect example of how subtlety and patience wins over loud scares and cheap effects. Another generic demon horror movie that can't hold a candle to the original.

No, it doesn't
Great story it will stay with the original because of the original cast
Looks interesting
Good to see the actress from the original movie come back
Wonder if linda blair is coming back as well
2:12-2:14. This line now means NOTHING because I heard in an article that pazuzu isn't coming back and that the demons possessing the girls are entirely new
I think there may be a twist that regan was never actually cured. I think pazuzu left to make the priest jump and then went back into her but remained hidden
All that would do is undermine Karras's sacrifice in the original for a cheap, unnecessary twist. So I'm gonna have to give a hard "no" to that one.
I think they showed too much, Ellen Burstyn would’ve made for a great surprise. It still looks good but I feel like I just saw the full movie
Spot on.
It's a 3 minute trailer it's a 2-hour movie so still plenty to see
I hope I’m wrong, but unfortunately, this does not look like it will do much that’s new or interesting.
Opinions are like A holes
I hope this movie is as smart as the exorcist
No demon flash face thingy??
This movie is unnecessary, but that's just one guy's opinion. Y'all will help it make it's money 💰
I'm also excited please the full movie please
It hasn't been released - you have to go to a theater in October and buy a ticket and sit yourself down in a velvet seat with some popcorn just like the nation did 50 years ago instead of begging for someone to put it up on youtube so you can watch it on your phone

Pazuzu comeback!
Is that the theme music from K9?
So Aunt Lydia has a new job as an exorcist. 😮
This looks so good and horrifying!!
I never thought I'd see Jennifer nettles from sugarland in this movie
Looks creepy as hell. Cant wait
Captain howdy, is that you?
Yep
@@deborahdixon7475😂
They gave away WAAAAY too much of the movie in this trailer. Create some tension and anticipation
Wow, we waited decades to rewatch a remake of the original😅
that horrifying and wonderful music!l 🎶
I do hope Linda Blair is in it!
I haven’t been this scared since Forest Gump.
This was directed by the same guy who fucked up the last 3 Halloween movie. So don't expect much from it
They should have added the cold
Filter like the origionals instead of the sepie but it still looks interesting.
Make sure that stay tuned comedy series is funny without scary, horror, cussing, blood and gore in it. Just keep it funny.
Awesome, can’t
yup
Damn everyone sayin weak just cause they upset Halloween ends didn’t get to their expectations, you wanna make a horror movie that is good go ahead I’d like to see you try and fail miserably and then ask why the worlds so cruel
Weak people not weak movie
@@EdsterIII I've been a horror fan for forty years and I truly believe that this new exorcist movie is going to be bomb
I will be going to see this
Looks good
Truely Scary
Did that give a hide nod to the original, looks good!
Hell yeah!
Can't be racist you have to have a white and a black girl😂
I can’t wait to see this movie so excited right now
From Warner Bros. Rated R.
This is gonna bomb atomic!
Perfect
Oh yeah
Woke is about to possess a supernatural classic.. and everyone is powerless to stop ruining the original The Exorcist..
Very rarely do you see this. A demonic entity possessing two bodies at the exact same time. This demon is insanely powerful to be able to do that. Bc usually a demon can only possess one body at a time.
And it won't be pazuzu either
@@brentcoin7600 it's gotta be a demon high up in the Goetia. Maybe a Marquis or worse a Prince.
Body and the blood ?
😮 INDEED
@@allieelectra23 what does it mean ? Her dress has blood stains she means? Might aswell say "Blood stains on my dress" repeat 10times lol

Holy helll
I heard they’re changing the release date because of Taylor swifts concert movie coming out the same day October 13th
But I’m looking forward to it.
yep and i’ll be there 😁
Cooks socks in hell
😂
I'd like to see if lynda blair in this
Not scary as the original but it looks good 👍
Nahh man in the name of Jesus Christ I rebuke this demonic energy ✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️
They already gave the whole movie usually happens that way
Pela fé
The devil isn't racist he loves dark meat as well 😂
Oh yes of course honey but you just called yourself out.😮
I wonder who's doing the demon voice this time for the girls?
I just got finish reading an article that said the voice for the demon will be Jamie Lee Curtis
Argh...still don't beat that 1973 one...sorry man. I am all for the Exorcist 1973, all others wanna be better, but I love that they brought Reagan mom's in and mentioned Reagan too. Awesome.
you haven't seen it yet, sweetie
This trailer is the perfect example of how subtlety and patience wins over loud scares and cheap effects. Another generic demon horror movie that can't hold a candle to the original.
This is why there are so many people with psychological issues. Why would anyone want to sit through this?? This stuff absolutely ruins you.
😮❤
