Both of these young girls are so mature for their ages. Extremely intelligent and well spoken. Very impressive!
They really are. I scanned the comments to get an idea of the feel of this video and I saw your comment. That gave me a point to look for and sure enough, you were 100% correct. Both of these young girls, kids really are exceptionally talented and gifted actresses. Their poise is absolutely incredible. Given the type of movie this is, and the fact that their script won't be a typical kids script, and how they approached this role and actually studied and prepared for it shows not only their immense talent but also their incredible dedication to their craft. They are what, 12, 13, maybe 14 years old? Both of these young ladies are amazing and I hope and pray that they have parents who keep them safe from the sickening people in Hollyweird and allow their careers to grow as they do. They both have a bright future!
Totally. I'm so impressive about this actress. I'm chocked
Movie was 6.5/10 it was aii not even scary
@@lupus1192 really? Can you tell me something?
I thought the same. Wise for their age❤
Ellen Burnstyn said in an interview last year that they filmed all of her stuff first due to her age and that they offered her a lot of money to be in it and she turned it down, they offered her more and she turned it down. They said what will it take to get you to do this film, she said a scholarship program for the Actors Studio. They accepted.
She was back in a great deal with oasr awesome picture awards TCM hollywood movies on Netflix about how many of them were in movie theater in theaters days
Ellen burnstyn she was get back new movie sounds great I just saw it 1973 times picture of the second time before bring back
The original wasn’t so much “scary” as it was disturbing, and haunting. I think that really keeps it timeless
The Exorcist that is scary is the directors cut with the devils face subliminal flash up throughout. Added a scary sense of unknowing
@@HeavenScent2110It gave you a sick sense of evil and wickedness. Foreboding is a perfect word.
@@EdsterIII yes it was dark in places that movies dont go anymore unfortunately.
Plus it was a ground breaking film at that time. That's why you can't compare it with a new film in 2023.
I agree with you. Very psychological film.
the young girls are honestly very good actors and deserved the role in this movie
I just came back from the theater a little while ago and honestly as much as I will always love the original, this movie was a hundred thousand times scarier and I LOVE it!!! 😀
I LOVED THIS FILM TOO
Loved every minute of this movie! Pure talent through and through
The original Exorcist film has a mojo that cannot be replicated, repeated or topped, period.
How many timelines would you say the Exorcist has? You have the sequel movie with Linda Blair reprising her role, there was a prequel film before the events of the first film, there was the TV where Regan is older and goes by a different name, and you have the 2nd Sequel, with Ellen Burstyn reprising her role.
Agree. It can't be redone.
@@omarcogle1965 that 2nd film was not good. The third was better.
Agreed the believer wasn’t scary @ all
When I saw the exorcist n the theatre they had a nurses station set up n the ladies room
The guys who couldn't even understand what makes a Halloween movie, have no hope of understanding something as complex, nuanced and layered as an Exorcist movie!
I love forward to the amazing heart wrenching scene when Reagan shows up in the final moments with the Infinity Gauntlet and the music stops, a record scratch happens, Reagan looks directly into the camera and says to Pazuzu "The power of me compels you!" and then the song "I'm just a girl" plays over the soundtrack as an over the top CGI fight happens.
The original Exorcist didn't rely on "jump scares" so much as just internal thoughts, the possibilities of evil possessing you, distorting you, and possibly killing you. The whole idea of demons entering your body or your child's body is horrifying and terrifying more than you can say and to see it develop and again distort the person was hideously sick. The voices were also very horrific and terrifying as well. Plus as others have said the way the demons face was morphed into the actresses face was subliminally scary and unnerving. The first Exorcist did things that nobody had even thought about. Most weren't even aware of this possibility or chance it could or was happening somewhere and that terrified people. This movie struck a nerve, a very deep nerve. Back then in the 70's times were different which is also why THIS movie will NOT be able to match the original Exorcist. For one, evil back then was not embraced like it is nowadays. People seem to love evil, bad, twisted. ?? Back then it wasn't as accepted or acceptable. Movies like this set 50 years apart can do well but to even think it could match or equal the initial fear the first Exorcist did.....not a chance.
Agreed. And very well written. Loved how you articulated the experience of the original. Bravo!👏🏻
aim at *the* Devil with the one possessing you, silly......
For me it was the helplessness of the mother who has to experience her daughter transforming into this monster and not being able to help her and seeing doctors probe and pin her daughter down. That was the most disturbing for me x
this movie scary asf
I thought it was awful to be honest
The Exorcist was the scariest and greatest horror film ever! Please be good and live up to the original!
It didn't hold candle to first!!
Whether this movie is good or bad, I have to praise the makeup in this one. None of the previous movies have come close to Dick Smith's makeup work in the original classic but this movie come very close. Plus having Ellen Burstein back is just wonderful, I can't wait to see this.
I think it will be good. Spot on about the makeup.
FR! Dick Smith's talent is legendary, so seeing this makeup team come very close to what he achieved gets an award from me
Well done behind the scenes - nuanced and serious about its subject.
To this day, the only movie that has ever truly scared me long after I watched it was the original The Exorcist. It came out on my 1st birthday in 1972 but I watched it when I was about 8 years old and going to a Catholic School, where they actually taught you the horrors of hell and all that nonsense (I doubt they do that anymore but back in those days, they wanted to scare you into believing). I already suffered from horrible nightmares and that movie didn't help me at the time. Of course now as an adult who doesn't believe in all that, I can appreciate the movie for what it is. But there is still that small area in the back of my mind that always makes me wonder if it's real. Looking forward to seeing this new movie! But the original film will always be the best in my opinion.
Ellen Burstyn and William Shatner need to tell us the secret to looking that good at 90 years. They barely look 60.
Man, shes NINETY?!
Good health care
Actors life. Learning lines the hardest thing they did.
@@melgrant7404 WRONG. Not exercising is the worst for your body and mind.
@@michelrood2966 the Queen did alright though.
This comes out the day before my birthday, I took Friday off to go see this!
I really hope this movie will be as good as it looks
Really…it looks repetitive and derivative…not to mention silly. Give me new ideas. Go see Last Voyage of the Demeter instead.
Scarier than "Hereditary"?
@@EastKoast-z1fwow, you're lucky, the movie is long? When you say it's scary, do you mean in terms of having a lot of jumpscares? or because exorcism is too scary? And another question I have is: in Exorcist 1, Regan becomes ugly throughout the story and at the end she becomes completely scary, will the same thing happen with the GIRLS in this film? Or will they have the same makeup that appears in the trailer?
@@EastKoast-z1f you have given me hope!!
@ jonoeschger1552 Then don’t watch it.
The greatest thing about the original, No Jump Scares.
thats what makes it so scary
There was a jump scare in the original it was the attic scene with the candle.....
Thank you! I've been blasted to bits for saying the exact same thing about the original Exorcist movie. It was, in my opinion, a more powerful and thought provoking horror/psychological thriller/demonic type movie. It basically to place in one location. Aside from the earlier 🏥🏨hospital🏨🏥 scenes and such. But the 3rd act, the most intense and horrific act, took place in 🛌🛏Regan's🛌Bedroom🛏🛌 and 🏘house🏠. Now there were some quick type scares, but nothing like they use in the Slasher genre of movies where the baddie, Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers suddenly appears and BOO!! Then with -->🗡🪓⛏🪚🔨 you end up -->⚰🪦. Now there are also some really great slasher movies, but the level of horror, fear, terror, that the Exorcist brought out was unlike any other horror movie ever seen before, or SINCE! They didn't rely on jump scares, or other typical slasher type tricks. The Exorcist was a intense, brutally intense experience that made you think. The horror wasn't a BOO!! then AAAH!! type scare. They hit you in several different ways and came at you from different angles. They visually terrified you with the little girls appearance. Next they freaked you out with sound, as her or IT'S voice was sickeningly evil, and vile, and it completely messed with your mind. Especially if you're a Christian and you believe in God. Like Ellen Burstyn said, there are different level or different types of possessions. One being kidnapped, you can SEE, and look at, face to face. But then there is THIS TYPE of possession, where it attacks you from within, you can't see it, speak to it, reason with it, it just literally consumes you, it controls you, and it can potentially kill you, and THAT is unbelievably terrifying!
@@DavieBoiMusic402Yes but this type of Horror movie doesn't rely on jump scares to freak you out.
There is one: the telephone ringing scene.😅
Looks excellent.
This was so cool. I always love watching the behind the scenes to movies. I Def will be checking this movie out
Went to go see the movie yesterday. It was the best movie ever and I literally think this is my favorite movie from the movie theater and overall.
L movie taste💀
Linda Blair.. Stevie Nicks long lost sister! ✨
4:08 The way Ellen describes possession here makes it even scarier . Like literally what do you do??
These child actresses seem very promising to have the same charm and charisma as Linda Blair did. And the demon makeup looks great too. I’m so pumped.
If they don't win an Oscar or any kind of award for their performance I might be mad. It is super hard to act the way they are doing in this movie.
The makeup doesn't look like very much by the trailer. The original movie's makeup was far creepier from what I can tell.
Knowing Linda Blair assisted these young girls is far and beyond on her behave. Would've been better if she was in it but hey she's still part of production. This trilogy will be a classic too. 👌👍💯
linda blair is in it
SHES IN IT! She visits Chris at the end
I am 22 and have never seen The Exorcist because my parents wouldn't wouldn't let me watch it. I considered myself a "horror fanatic" until I saw this on my birthday, the release date! I am scarred for life😂 I'm also terrified of watching the original Exorcist😂😊
Amazing. Glad you are able to enjoy this one as well. I know I did.
this movie was terrible wtf
How does one watch a sequel without seeing the original movie first?? Like how did you even understand what was going on??
First one definitely better
I watched the original exorcist when I was 12, I laughed like the entire time because the effects were not scary, I didn’t find it disturbing or anything. Just watch the original, it’s not even scary.
These young’s actors are remarkable
Not as remarkable as Linda Blair in the original in 1973.
This looks so good stop capping.
I can’t believe Ellen Burstyn is 90 she looks incredible
Omg, she's 90?! Yeah she does look good! Geez... Hope I age like that... And is still going at 90!
I like the old one to❤
If Ellen says it's scary then my hopes are REALLY high on this!
you have to remember she only did it because they paid for an entire acting college to be set up. which is an insane amount of money, almost unheard of. i want it to be good but.....i think the best anyone can hope for is that it'll be as good as say the exorcism of emily rose. enjoyable, but not The Exorcist.
Ellen Burstyn pulled a Michael Caine. She'll be like the movie was a clunker. I didn't see it but I saw the acting school it built. It was marvelous.
@@PrivateSmiles hahaha my thoughts exactly, i don't blame her at all, it's actually a really nice thing she did, potentially tarnishing the reputation of her biggest role for kids to get an opportunity to become better actors. pretty humble really.
Come on.
@@EastKoast-z1f I strongly doubt you've seen this film, and i don't think you understand what i said at all, i want the film to succeed, however, we've only had one true Exorcist sequel, it was called Exorcist 3. This looks like a decent albeit run of the mill exorcism film.
Furthermore Ellen Burstyn and Linda Blair even being in it is already bad news because it shows the writers don't understand Blatty's original work. Karras's act of sacrifice and continuing torment when the Gemini killer enters his body is the price he paid to save that family. Having them come back makes no sense.
Like he said the bar has been set so high, I am so excited for this movie !!!!!
I watched this before watching the film. 😂 Hopefully, the movie is less scary to me now that I watched the bts. 😂
Looks extremely scary!! I'm there can't wait!!!
they're so exaggerated when speaking about how scary or mind-blowing it is, but all these people do when promoting these movies
There are so many reason's why this movie can never have the same impact as the original and 95% percent of it is out of this cast and crews control.
Well, if you hope, this movie is as good as it Looks indefinitely yes
I am definitely going to check this out with a couple of friends and it will be my birthday weekend as well. The only thing that kind of concerns me is that there looks like a water tunnel scene and I'm wondering if either or both of the possessed girls are going to be fully submerger for whatever reason. I don't want to react to this right now because I haven't seen the movie and the scene may turn out to be nothing major. But it just looks like a possible rough scene. Overall, I'm excited to see this movie.
Same here! My Birthday is the first week of October. I initially had planned in seeing this movie on Friday the 13th, BUT Taylor Swift? Seriously of all of the people who could throw a 🔧wrench🔧in this movie's release it's "her"? Now I don't mind that now the movie is coming out a week sooner, but still Taylor Swift? I suppose she figures that she could be the one to go Toe to Toe with 😈evil😈, but why? All jokes aside, I saw this when it was first released and it truly was the scariest, most terrifying, and horrifying movies ever. Granted I was a kid when I lied to my parents and got them to take me to the Drive-in Theater where it was playing, and that particular "FIB" got them to go to the screen where it was being shown. It was the beginning of summer and since it had been out for a while, it was being shown last so it wasn't even on the Marquee sign out front. Only the first two movies were shown. The Exorcist gave me nightmares for over a year. It was and still is the most frightening movie I have ever seen. I was also during this time, I was attending a Catholic grade school as well as church with Grandpa and Grandma every Sunday. Needless to say, NOT a good combination! Now this movie still sends shivers down my spine, and that "look" that they gave young Linda Blair is still unnerving and very very horrific. I can remember being at the Drive-in, by this point I already knew I made a big big mistake! But the scene when Linda Blair had the Crucifix in her hand and she began stabbing herself, but then she also grabbed her mother by the hair and began ramming her face into the blood, and her voice began to deepen, my Mom screamed, "THAT'S IT!! LET'S GO!" and I was happy with that decision, but my Dad, who now knew I lied and as he said, "manipulated" him, said back to my Mom, "NOPE, if he thinks he's old enough to not only see this movie, but LIE to us as well, he's going to watch it!!" So my stunt not only caused me over a year of nightmares but it also started a fight with my Mom and Dad, and then my Grandparents once they found out about it. Now as I said, I was a "good little Catholic boy" up to that point. I learned a lesson that day for sure. Sorry for the long response but my "history" with this movie is crazy, and the fact that I saw this movie before my 8th birthday was one of the most idiotic lies or "fibs" I ever did, and I learned with lies come repercussions. Karma can be a real kick in the butt!
Happy early Birthday!
@EdsterIII same happened to my son. Caught him watching a horror film, didn't take it off him and he had nightmares for weeks. Unfortunately I was up all night too with him. He was older than you though, about 13 I think. It was Amityville Possession 2 when the boy in it gets possessed by the devil. He couldn't get to the end. He's 30 now and still will not watch it!! You had a lesson there, although you were very young. Tut tut !! 😂
Great movie. I saw this and I see it as different religious beliefs come together to fight evil together.. love conquers hate.
It is looking very interesting, it looks like it'll do something interesting with what they are doing with it, I hope Ellen Burstyn is right about it being scary, can't wait to see it next week.
..... there's already been a great sequel to The Exorcist, it's called Exorcist 3 Legion.
i will give 100/10 about this movie. can bringing back the first character in this movie, and it can make me nostalgic again. love it
So the rating in America is "R" & "15" in the UK. Mmm. I feel like it's to over styled and heavy sound effects. Maybe less computer special effects and be real and authentic like the original was ❤
How old are these girls? Do they look young but are older than the characters? The clips I’ve seen the girls are incredible actors!
They better get Oscars!!
They are totally blowing this movie exposing all the frights. Where's the element of shock/surprise?
I love the trailer to the original 1973 movie. Very little plot was exposed. That quick glimpse of Regan's sinister eyes was enough to know this horror movie ain't playin' around!😱
I hope it’s not bad
It's not good
I had nightmares for a month after seeing the exorcist on TV. I was 8 I think.
And can we talk about the power house talent that is Ann Dowd!
It was very good ❤❤❤
I am really impressed the writers brought this story full circle with the original. I can not wait to watch this movie.
I loved her in Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood! It took me a moment to realize she's in the original Exorcist.
These 2 girls did an amazing job
Can't wait to see it..
Honestly can't wait to see the girls on the big screen! My nan walked out of the original pregnant with my aunt from the help me on the stomach she was done... I for one love the movie and can't wait to drag my boyfriend to see it
I really hope there’s not a lot of CGI.. that is what makes the original so amazing was the horror they created with makeup and prosthetics xx
I know cgi is used way much it looks awful and not used correctly.
i just watched the film. And it was good.
I'm in love with Olivia!!

I'm very happy David Gordon Green knows the difference between slasher and possession movies. I knew he was a bad director and destroyed Halloween, but at least he is not 100% clueless.
“God played a trick on you” being the creepiest thing for the producer, says a lot. Hopefully they are misleading us to believe the movie is gonna be trashy, but will end up being awesome. And, hey, David Gordon Green, I DONT WANT TO BE SCARED OF JUMPSCARES!! I WANNA BE SCARED OF THE MOVIE, STORY, CHARACTERS!!!
@@EastKoast-z1f I don’t care about the other movies DGG directed. Haven’t watched any of those new Halloween movies, but I can tell you that the “jumpscare recipe” all of them are using as their main strategy is absolutely boring. I hope there will be something much more compelling that makes this new Exorcist sequel a great movie!!
It’s weird to assume that the director is to blame for the Jumpscares. It very well has to do with the studios as well in order to “sell” it

Je l'ai vu hier excellent film
I will keep saying this Everytime i see the preview or a behind the scene for this movie the girls NEED to win a lot awards for theie performance! Everytime i see the preview as a UA-cam ad i almost throw my phone. Again if these two gurls dont get an Oscar i wont be happy.
Saw the movie I’m glad they brought some of the original cast and song cause no horror movie will ever compare to The Exorcist. People that say the original is not scary…imagine growing up in early 70s prior to the movie and have only witnessed movies like werewolf or Frankenstein. Exorcist put horror to a different level using a small innocent girl. What’s more scarier then that.
