Mitch is now my favorite PBA bowler. He has such a relaxed style. Old school. And, he does a tremendous ball review. He really explains the ball reaction in an informative way. The only thing I can not believe. How come Mitch has not won a PBA title? He is that good!

I've only been bowling for 4 years now. I've owned 5 widows. The original Legend the Pink pearl the Platinum overseas ball which the ghost is just a rebrand of. Also the legend remake. And MY FAVORITE ball ever the Black window 2.0 the ball I shot my first 300 with
Really like this type of review. Enjoyed the way Mitch talked his way through the moves and what he thought of the reaction of each piece in different parts of the lane. Great work.
I agree! Ball reviewers should study this video and learn from it. Throwing different bowling balls from the same spot is really the only way a viewer can appreciate what the new ball is doing. Ball is not for my game but this was the best review I have ever seen. Thanks Mitch

Widow 2.0 has been incredible for me. It's a house shot killer but also looked fantastic at the open championships on the team pattern.

Wow this is by far one of the best reviews I have ever seen. More please, Mitch is a great addition to the team 👏. I had the OG widow in the 90s and never gave it much chance, sold it to a friend and he shot 300 with it 2 weeks later. Recently purchased a purple hammer 🔨 second hammer ball ever.

Always wanted an original widow when I was bowling juniors back in the day. Now I love my widow 2.0 and will be picking up this widow ghost for sure.
My favorite ball ever is the Black Widow Pearl. I felt like I could throw it anywhere from anywhere and have it strike. I have the 2.0 now and its nice but I'm considering picking the Ghost up as well.
I've had three widows. Got the first and favorite in 2008 the black widow. That one I shot my first 300 with it when I was 18. I now have a pin down red legend and a pin up pink. The red one has become more of a situational piece for me, and the pink I just adore. It works so well on the wood lanes I bowl on every week.
I remember watching Mitch throw the Pink Widow before its release when he was at thunderbowl. My friends and I were all in awe from how many messengers he was throwing

To m.h's question, I've owned and thrown a huge percentage of the widow line. It's by far my all time favorite line ever made. The bite and limited are up there, but all time favorite has to be the dark legend(purple and black). I had 7 of them over time. The ball was just absolutely amazing
Always love watching Barks roll some of the Hammer stuff. But, this was a nice change up. I have been in the market for a new ball, and have recently gone to speak with my PSO, which after looking at what I have, we have decided on ordering the Widow Ghost. I haven't ever had a pearl Black Widow, but I did have two of the original Black Widows, and I have always loved the roll that the core creates. I have been wanting to try a pearl Black Widow ever since the first Widow Pearl came out, and I am really looking forward to getting the opportunity!
Still throw my black widow bite to this day and still love it. Over 10 years that ball has never failed me

Black/Gold is my favorite. It rolls smooth, and is predictable. Good content as always!
My favorite black widow was the original black widow pearl. I really like the review showing a couple of different layouts and a good comparison ball too.
I've had the original widow pearl and I currently have the black widow gold and I love my Gold. The ghost looks awesome so will likely buy one in a few months
Just now getting back into bowling after about 2 years I had the pink undrilled in a box waiting.. But finally! She's out on the lanes and is a beast! I also have a taboo black, and a Legend. 👍 This was a great review video! I keep watching it because for the first time the terminally is understandable! So great!

Currently rolling with the new Legend. I love the pink and the 2.0 between the three I can play on most nights and shuffle from solid 2.0 to hybrid Legend to the pink as the lanes transition.
So far I only have 2 I just got the Ghost Pearl yesterday I love it, I also have the Black Widow Urethane(Black) I’m planning on getting the 2.0 and the overseas Hybrid

I had the original red and black widow pearl absolutely loved it and I already pre ordered the ghost
I've owned the original Black Widow (1.0), Black Widow Bite, and the newer Black Widow (2.0). My favorite has always been the Black Widow Bite. I used it on wooden lanes before they were converted to synthetic and that ball always found the pocket for me.

i have the red widow pearl and its still used in my setup to this day. its seen better days which is why i needed an upgrade. my girl surprised me for my birthday with the ghost. i cant wait to have it drilled today and see what it can do. nice vid mitch.
i’m a beginner and i wanted this ball sooo bad but i dug deeper into you guys’ reviews and went with the magenta rhino….hopefully i’ll feel confident enough soon to get this ball! love the channel

Just started bowling again after a 15 year hiatus. Thought I`d still use my 16lb NuLine from back in the day on the league I joined. It USED to have incredible back end, and I could cut it across all boards for a 7 pickup. I also bowled my one and only 300 league game with it in 2001. WOW, lane conditions today have sure changed, and the ball was now a dud, with hardly any reaction. A new 15 lb mild pin high Widow Legend was better, but still lacked the snap at the backend. Just got a 2.0 two weeks ago, drilled aggressively pin high, and it reacts much later now, BUT the 10 pin is now a thorn in my side, with it hooking at the last second, and a miss every time. I hardly ever missed with the NuLine. Current high scores/series 226 with both the Legend and 2.0, a 617 with the Legend, a 589 with the 2.0. Looking for a last second hook at the back end, like my old NuLine. Is that even possible with today`s balls and lane conditions? My average was around 180 back in the day, with plenty of 240+ games. I`m now struggling in the mid 160`s after 39 games. Is this ball my answer???
Like how clean it comes off your hand. Had the OG Widow but nothing new since. Think that Ghost will do nicely for the upcoming season. Great video. Subscribing

I bought the ghost after watching this video and then several others and also seeing how other people throw it similar to my throw. I cannot wait to up my pincount after drilling it.
Widow 2.0 has been a fantastic ball for me. Pin up configuration has worked well. I think this ghost will be my go-to ball during transitions but after watching this review I may have to try it out as my starter ball.
Yeah great review. Would love to see you do an instructional slow mo vid on that release. Such a smooth shot. Looks like you're just effortlessly floating that ball through the oil.

In response to your question: I have a black widow urethane and this ghost pearl as a combo. You're absolutely right about not throwing it too fast. Any time I went over 15mph I ended up leaving quite a few 10 pins. Other than that, mine is pin up and it was hitting 5-6 strikes in a row very regularly. This ball is a joy to throw.
Who doesn't love them some Mr. Mitch Hupe' That being said, I miss my man Barks chucking those Hammers down the lane. I'm a lefty so I'm just a tad biased. So cool seeing Mitch on here. NICE! BW 2.0 is my fav.

Bought a used Pink Widow(my first Hammer), got it redrilled and used it the first time in league last night. Great ball! Definitely won't be the last Widow I have drilled!
I really appreciate this video, now I know how I want my Ghost drilled. Plus moving further to the left with both balls. My next purchase will be a spare bowl.
I have had an OG Widow, Pink Widow, and a 2.0, and the 2.0 has been my favorite by far. I am even ordering another to go with my ghost.

First hammer ball and one of the first bowling balls I ever owned was a 14 lb widow pink. I even bought a 16 lb when I went up in weight. I sold it bc I rarely used it due to the strength on the house shot I played. I really regret selling it now that I understand the game even more and started playing tournaments

I've had the Widow Gold, and now the Widow 2.0, so I'm sure I'll be getting the Ghost. I really like the way Mitch had the pin down Ghost looking, but may just go with the same drilling I have on the 2.0. Jonsing to get the Ghost asasp!!
I have the Gold with a little but of surface on it and I love it. Best game was a 298, so close!
I own and still own the original Black Widow. I averaged over 240 in leagues with it the year it came out. However, with the new 'weight hole is illegal' situation, the ball just doesn't look the same anymore. Tried using it in league and in practice and looks more like a mid to bottom-tier ball.
Favorite Widow was the OG Widow. The Legend, BW Bite, and BW Pink were very good as well.
I currently own the black widow 2.0. I love the ball just watching reviews to find something a little less aggressive.

I've only had one Widow ball ever: the Assassin. Recently had to retire it because of a nasty crack on the finger holes. (RIP)
It made me fall in love with Hammer. Thinking about getting this or 2.0 despite a high-friction House Shot and low revs, lower-med. speed release.
The original Black Widow solid. That was my favorite all time ball, I rolled my best game and best series ever with it.

Widow legend is a great ball. I have the solid, the pink, the blue real monster. Getting the ghost. Still love the legend the most. Just got back into bowling and for now the hybrid covers work well left handed. Haven't tried them with my dominant right

Had the Assassin (incredible ball) & the Pink (also incredible).
Ghost is definitely on my list to pick up, once shops can actually get them.

This past Friday someone on our league bowled a 300 with this ball. Very smooth and strong reaction. Probably no faster than about 13-14 mph
Been using the black widow 2.0 for league and i love it. Just shot my first 700 series with a 735. All of my 600 series have been with the widow. Have a gb4 and a phase 3 but they don’t really do the trick in league for my play style. More of a tweaner. May pick this to try for the second half of the season. Great video as always!

Note: If I stood on 25 and threw the 2.0 over 20 like Mitch did on his first shot, I would likely get a strike on the lane over to the right. :)

Wow.. this one has me thinking of there is room in a bag for both a pin down and pin up version. Mitch's layout on the 2.0 and the pin-up Ghost Pearl are exactly how I have my 2.0 and BW Platinum Silver laid out. Would there be enough room with those, urethane, a pin down GB4 and a Web Tour Hybrid Edition in the same bag.....
And right now, I'm stuck on my favorite Widow: BW Platinum Silver, and the BW Purple Pearl Urethane. Those two are absolute beasts.

I threw the ghost pearl for a few frames last week. Liked how it rolled, but not really shopping for a new ball right now. My buddy has one getting drilled (hopefully over this weekend so he can use it Monday night) Also threw a friend's Black Widow 2.0 for the second time last night. Lanes were burnt up by that point so I wasn't even close to the pocket, but I like it too. I already have 3 other solids so its another one I'm not really looking at right now either.
Blackwidow pearl was my favorite I interested in trying this out as well as the 2.0
I had a couple OG Widows, a couple Widow Bites, Widow Assassin, Blue Silver Taboo, and a Pink Widow. The OG and Bite were by far my favorites. I shot a couple 300's with both. I liked the Assassin but I hated the Taboo and the Pink. The pink was so over/under for me no matter what I did to the surface and that's what scares me about the Ghost, I don't know why I haven't drilled up a 2.0. lol
bowled my first 300 with the original and have had the gold one for a couple months and it is better for me
I have Window 2.0 it's my best ball and my favorite ball. After watching this that ghost looks nice

OG Black Widow, loved the way it rolled for me...just wish the coverstock would've lasted longer, they wore out too fast.

I pitch the Purple Widow and the Hybrid Widow overseas and will get a Ghost and go Pin Down with it, but I love Storms as well...the Proton, Dual Lock, iQ Tour Sapphire ;) and I have the Mo Space ball for spares if I'm not rolling the Purple Hammer :)

I just bought a black widow 2.0 after bowling with the OG Black Widow, and it is just as good, IF NOT BETTER than the original!! I absolutely captures the dynamics of the black widow OG. It is SO fucking versatile its unbelievable. I am absolutely floored with this ball and I cant wait to push it to its limits!
