*This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

I feel grateful this reconditioning program ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxcJ22tnHH9l1vjdIdEIG27iOG55P7LXI8 was started. I had Three dead batteries scheduled for disposing of. Having said that, I tried out reconditioning them and it took me only an hour to do it! It doesn`t matter what type of battery you want, the process works.

My cart is 48v, one difference I did was to plug in the cart charger and turn it on and then charge one battery at a time for 15 minutes with a 12v charger until the cart 48v charger was satisfied and started charging and then disconnected the 12 v charger. The 48v charger started the moment I turned the 12v charger on the 3rd battery. I then let it continue to charge with the 48v chargerThank you, Martin

Man this guy just saved me from getting rid of my EZ-GO. I accidentally left it out overnight (hadn't used it in a while) and it rained. Next day I went out to move my cart in and it was DEAD. I plugged in the charger....NOTHING. I was getting ready to put it up on Craigslist to sell as is and I ran over this video....WOW!!!! Great job and thanks for the help.

Super good advice. Thank you so very much.
My dealer told me that I had to bring my golf cart into his shop to fix the problem. He told me there were no other way to fix it, because my golf cart ran down too low to charge it myself at home.
Well, I tried your way, and wow, thank goodness, it worked.
Now, I have to find me an honest golf cart dealers, because the one I was using is a ripoff.
Thank you so much for your wonderful...and yes, money saving advice. Yes, Sir, you just saved me a crap load of money.

You're still providing a great service 12 years later! This seems so simple and common sense, yet I did not realize I could do this. I'm still relatively new to golf cart ownership, and I don't use it often. I usually keep my batteries charged and topped off, but this is the second time now that they've gotten too low for the charger to read. This video was clear and took the intimidation out of the process. Thank you! By the way I have a Melex which means it's at least 30 years old since they haven't been sold in the U.S. since 1992.

Well Jack this worked for me. Thank you. I did use my Craftsman charger, at the 10 amp setting on each battery individually for a half hour each. Then used my Yamaha 48 volt charger, to complete the charging process. Still took nearly 24 hours to charge tho. I will be bringing my cart home during the winters just so I can occasionally give the batteries a mid winter charge. Thanks again. ps my batteries are only 5 years old. This advice saved me!

When attempting to charge at 12 amps, relay kept triggering on any bank arrangement. Thought for sure the batteries were done, but it also made me think of my gels on my motorcycle which have to be brought back gradually if completely discharged. Used two amp (trickle) and each bank took about eight hours, but they did all come back and are now charging off the carts charger above 15 amp. Very relieved.

Be careful, although this works great on the surface and will get your golf cart working again to a point but there is a long term problem that will destroy your batteries if not addressed. When batteries are so low that they won't activate a smart charger they will be in desperate need of a balance charge and a saturation charge. By individually charging isolated 12v pairs of batteries in series you create a situation of the batteries not having a balanced charge even when the golf car charger takes over. Because its a series connection the individual batteries wont all necessarily read the same voltage, the sum of their individual voltages will be correct but the problem is in this state they will overcharge and undercharge individual batteries. To check that your bank is balanced, hook up your golf cart charger and use a multimeter to test each batteries individual voltage when the batteries are over halfway charged. You must take the reading of each battery while they are on charge and write the value on a piece of paper. If they all read exactly the same voltage or very close to each other like 6.73v each + or - 0.05v then the bank is balanced, if there is more than a 0.1v difference then you know they need balancing. For example if individual batteries in the bank reads 6.70v, 6.54v, 6,91v etc then you have a problem and it needs to be fixed.
Fixing it is quite simple, disconnect all your batteries, take them out if you can, and connect them all in parallel, I:E positive to positive and negative to negative. Then charge the whole bank with a 6v charger for 36 hours. This will allow your whole bank to equalise and get a much needed saturation charge in the process. After that you are done and will prevent long term damage to your batteries.
With series connections its good to check every few months if your bank is balanced to keep your batteries fat and happy.

Or you could just get a decent digital/smart charger, and charge the 12v banks fully with said charger.

It is very nice of you sir.to offer your knowledge to complete strangers. It really makes me angry when I go into a store or a repair shop to buy a part and they play dumb. Basically because they are afraid they might not get the repair business if they help a customer to be able to do it themselves with a little info. Especially if there are avoidable pitfalls or traps that may harm other parts if care is not taken. Man that's the worst! And it destroys faith in mankind or human kind, (since I'm a woman.). if they let you drive right off the cliff into a pitfall.

I just purchased a used Club Car which was without a charger. I am far in a dessert so it will take awhile to get a new charger. In the mean time I can get a car battery charger. My question: I have 6 batteries each with 3 holes which means 36 volts (right?). But each round end Club Car charger I find is for a 48 volt system. Can I plug a 48 volt charger into this 36 volt system? Did I not figure my system correctly or has this Club Car been modified or wrong batteries installed? Thank you for your help.

When the charger has gone through its cycle should the meter read 0 on the index. And if it is on 0 does that mean the battery bank has received a full charge and the batteries are good and charged. My ezgo has had no problems in 6 years of charging. Now 2 trips out to the garden and it has to be tolled back and charged. Also I charged it overnight, earlier today I unplugged the charger and plugged it back in The charger turned on and the needle went back over to the normal start point right of center 14 -15. Thanks

Thank you for the advice. I was thinking that either my charger was no good, or the batteries were shot. Will try this.

k CARVING K Carving, this worked for me, see reply above :) Just be sure to connect Pos to Pos and neg to neg, as some batteries may be reversed. Yes my Yamaha charger lights were all flashing initially. but after charging each battery individually with the car charger for a half hour, then using the cart charger, the lights showed it was charging. And after probably 18 hours the lights showed green. (Charged). :) Saved Me.

Are new batteries charged when I buy them? Or would I have to do this process?
