Engine 13 - Ambulance 11
Chicago Fire Department
I created this video with the UA-cam Video Editor ( / editor )
Im a firefighter/emt I can give you an insight. When its a medical we usually dispatch a engine and an ambulance. Most firefighters such as myself are basic emts or even paramedics. We are usually manpower to help carry the stretcher down a flight of stairs or just extra help since we are trained emts! It really does help to have an engine on scene! Hope that helps!
great catches and video of these different rescue veacles on this EMS call
@rykember11 Can't get enough of those green lights.
Love the horn on engine 13
4-5-1 has the green light on the wrong side!
Wrong. I have been in EMS in CT for 4 years now, and whenever a call goes out for medical dispatch, the ambulance responds no matter what. The fire department does not normally respond nor do they tell dispatch whether an ambulance is needed or not. That's a waste of precious time that the patient might not afford to lose. Don't speculate on something you're not versed in.
@rubyslipper2 Oddly enough, some people just enjoy video of emergency apparatus with all their lights flashing and sirens going. Some are hobbyists and model makers, others are garage mechanics who work on rigs themselves. I'm getting this from the comments I get on other videos. Yes, there is a certain amount of "train spotting" types, too.
The firemen are usually the first responders to medical emergencies, they will determine if an ambulance will be needed or not when they arrive on the scene.
Wow I spotted about 5 police units
You weren't able to ask the cops or firemen? I was just curious!
@UnitedAirlines53467 Not much to say. DOA
Unreported in the local news. No further information.
@UnitedAirlines53467 I understand. I'm not an accredited journalist. I just happened to be passing by. They don't usually give out that information to pedestrians (believe me, I've asked). Had this been more newsworthy I may have come across a scope on a newspaper or TV story, but as it was it turned out to be a private affair. I only know it was a DOA from the radio calls (they don't broadcast names of victims)
Dead on arrival. No information in the news. That's all I know, tragically.
What exactly happened? What was the emergency!
engine 13 going to pick up crew i take it.
Dem drug yo!
whatd they end up having? a code?
they got shot
What on earth was the point of posting that? Am I missing something?
