This is so crazy! I've been debating moving to Chicago for medschool. The school serves the West Chicago area so this video was posted at the PERFECT time. Wow. You've got yourself a new subscriber!
Wow! Prices are definitely on the rebound in Chicago. I’m from St. Louis, and one bedroom high rise lofts can had for just over $1K. Good to know what apartments are currently going for in Chicago.
Beautiful apartments I'm not going to lie but what I'm having trouble to understand is how or what people do for living to afford those prices. Like please 🙏 😭 show me how
Depends on the neighborhood, but trust there are quite a few out there for less than $2k. There’s literally one for rent in River North very similar to the budget option she showed and it’s going for $1800 and it even has a bit of a river view. Theres another one on the river for $1600. It is dated, but it’s 800 sqft and has laundry in bldg. There’s even a 1 bed in Lincoln Park, within a block from a station, for $1900 and it’s bigger than the budget option. Not quite as cheap as $1500 for certainly a bit more affordable than what she showed. Don’t dismiss the ones that are listed as studios because sometimes they are the same size and floor plan of a 1 bed, but it just won’t have a wall or a door fully separating the areas. You really have to look for yourself and don’t just rely on a realtor. A lot of the times they’re only going to show properties THEY want you to see, not necessarily what you want, and what’s in their actual portfolio. Note that she mentioned she’s put people in these buildings, which means she’s only showing you properties her company manages. This is not quite a fair representation of what’s really available in Chicago.
love this video! just signed a Jr Bedroom apt in the west loop in a 'value' luxury building and I love it. wolf point east was my DREAM but there was no way I could justify those prices, as amazing as the building was! Maybe If I moved during the pandemic..... haha. But I feel like my apartment is actually more conveniently located :)
I feel like I lucked out on my apartment in the south loop (and it's five blocks away from home) 2,220 including utilities and parking (i have one car). Only downside is it's kind of low to the ground but I'm used to Chicago city noises. it has a view of the Sears (Willis) tower. It's a one-bedroom one-bath, with no balcony, but a public outdoor space in the spring and an in-unit washer/dryer.
Love seeing comparisons in my own neighborhood! I'm in River West and live in a 3 flat: I pay $550/mo with roommates (3b/2ba) to live in a newly renovated building (central AC/heat, in building W/D, off street parking included, etc.) Would love to see more "normal person" price points included in these videos. Even $1k/mo is so steep for many! For those looking: it's out there, call landlords and scout the neighborhoods you love. They are abundant and ready to rent. ❤️
A tip perhaps, when you market something, rather make it about the product your are marketing. It would’ve been nice to have a full screen fire with you in the corner rather than seeing such a small visual of it in the right corner - odd
We need to have a rent cap now. Landlords are throwing people out on the streets with these rent prices. Most people can't afford 2k rent. Chicago also isn't a high income area like the silicon valley
I filled out a form but now these numbers have me nervous! Thank you for making these videos! 💕
Same here, these prices are making me nervous!

this video came at the perfect time! i love that right around the time i'm going to move, the prices just skyrocket 🙂

Love this, can you do more videos like this on the streeterville and river north area?

They have multiple forms of income
These are some of the most expensive areas in Chicago. I hope she eventually features some of the other neighborhoods.
They are all luxury apartments to me…. When u say budget I thought you mean 1k-1.5k😅
I literally have no one beds to show in that price range at all 😅😬 prices are sooo much higher now than last year

Wolf point is definitely one of the priciest options in the city, but sounds like you got a great spot!
Such a reality I'm , attempting to convince my better Self at the moment

Ooh that’s definitely a good deal!
Hello, I'm planning to trip to Chicago, middle of April. Would you like to share your spring outfits in Chicago?
Definitely! Right now we’re still getting snow so it’s the same as my winter outfits lol
Do studios next pleaseeeeeee
Will do!!!
What is the name of the complex where the 731 square ft 2,300/mo unit is located?
Can we see value, budget and luxury two bedrooms in the River North & West Loop neighborhoods?
Yes!!
Can you do a river north/streeterville around $2500
Yes I’ll add that to my list!

Did I hear you mention you're a broker at the end??? Did you finish getting your broker's license? 😁
Yikes 2.1k for budget. Lol I was moved out for work and wanted to move closer to work. I think I should look into finding roommates
Where is the value apartment located? Does anybody have the names of these buildings? :(
How far in advance should you start looking for apartments?
60 days!
$2100 is not a budget apartment lol I would’ve wanted to see what you can get with like $1400 max. we’re not all doctors and lawyers!
I literally don’t have anything to show for $1400 right now!
Actually , im living out of usa , but i ask can the average monthly wages afford getting apartments with these rental prices ?? !!
You have to be able to make 3 times the rent monthly so for one person somewhere between $6300 and $10000 a month!
@@CairaButton thanks for clarification .

Me and my best friend are moving to Chicago September I hope you can be our agent when we move
Yesss definitely reach out!
South side
Is there any way a person could stay under $1300 without roommates?
Love the $2300 apartment. Coming from NYC, the price is pretty good!
p.s. Congratulations on being a broker!
Thank you!!!

Wolf point west… was 2600$ in December Lmao
the one shown is wolf point east.... but damn, i definitely would have moved in if I was in chicago then.
None of these are Wolf point actually! These are in west loop and river west!
This video seemed rushed and I don’t like the small video of the apartments
Okay but what if you have a $1,200 budget....
I don’t like how you edited this video
Goodness. When did $2100 become budget price??? 😢 am I poor??? 😅 like can I get these kinds of apartments under $1500.... Maybe under $1000🤣🤣🤣🤣
