Are you doing water changes? I used Aqueon algae remover and it worked in two hours. It's crystal clear. I haven't used the Purigen I bought haven't needed too.
I've got a green water problem in the past. No matter how much the water changed I did, the water was still green. Then one day I decided to forget about it. After 5 days the tank suddenly becomes clear as crystal.
AlgaeFix kills the algae it comes in contact with but that means it releases the nutrients of the dead algae so any algae that survives will grow back really quick.

bro this worked the first time in 20 minutes but now the algae bloom is back and i’ve dosed it like 4 times and it’s still green

It's lights that causes it. Try this stuff. It really works and it's inexpensive
