*Correction for max base game build* at 3:18 as pointed out by @herxantpl6183 you can actually squeeze on defender's crest if you overcharm using a 3 cost charm, taking the DPS to 215.3 for base game setup!
*What About Grubberfly's Elegy?* While its true you can double hit which would increase DPS on base game build, there is almost no situation where you can make it occur 100% of the time, and its so ridiculous to figure out an average of how often it would happen as there are way to many variables based on enemies - So I am treating it similarly to the no animation cancels rule and ignoring it.
Furthermore on the pale court build bloom actually disables it retriggering at 1 mask from FoTF therefore it is not a consideration anyway!
Great video! Though man, really goes to show how unbalanced a lot of mods can be. Ive played Pale court and despite being 5 notches and seeming like it's high risk high reward, Abyssal Bloom is way too rediculous. Even when not at 1 HP, the fact that it gives damage and attack range means you can just sweep the first 2/3 of p5 without letting the bosses really attack at all

Grubberflys elegy also works with fury of the fallen and will reactivate at one hp and the beams combine with nail damage so the past three could’ve been used differently
WAIT WHAT ABOUT GRUBBERFLY ELEGY IT ADDS AN EXTRA PROJECTILE SO MAYBE IT WILL WORK?
I wonder if mail turnarounds would have an effect even with that high

I believe once you have mark of purity on (it lets you hold the button down to attack automatically) its more or less impossible to do turnarounds. (I'm 95% sure on that one)
I still think shriek would be higher dps. It does a ton of damage with shaman stone, can be casted many times in very quick sucession, and often double or triple hits large flying enemies. With good soul charms like twister and grubsong-weaverlings you shouldn't even have to worry about soul very much.

Honestly I hope they keep that unintended interaction between those two charms, keeping the attack boost at max level when you are at one HP can be challenging, so it's a reward, can you please tell me if they have ever fixed it in these 2 months after this video dropped?

Why not add nail masters glory for better dps using cyclone or elegy for double hits both of witch increase dps by over 5%
Nail arts never out damage spamming if you need to charge the art instead of hitting, and double hits - yes it is more dps but its so situational on what it works against vs not I didnt include it - but yeah it would technically be a dmg increase when it works :)
Instead of grimmchild in the base game shouldn't you put on grubberflys elegy as it gives the range and extra damage and since using fury of the fallen allows it to trigger at one mask and its also powered up by strength? Or am I missing something?
generally speaking you can't hit the same target with both nail AND the projectile in 1 swing (well... you CAN but only on certain enemies on specific setups, and even there inconsistently) which means outside of those special scenarios it won't be a boost. another thing is unfortunately having abyssal bloom on disables the projectiles at 1 mask from fury.

I don't really think mods need to count...
Using mode you can just use a cheat mod that makes your nail do a ton of damage
What about instead of weaversong and grimmchild, you use the grubfathers last charm drop?

3:19 actually you can fit one more charm, if you use one of the triple notch charms to overcharm instead of grimchild, so you could add defender's crest for some bonus DPS. great vid nonetheless

For a base game charm build, would Spore Shroom + Glowing Womb + Fury (maybe even Defender's Crest) do better than Grimmchild + Weaversong?
problem with spore shroom is you have to stop attacking to channel, and glowing womb is pretty close but even with the fury of the fallen boost its not quite as much as weaversong or grimmchild surprisingly! although it does have a lot more burst potential if you have 4 built up and ready to go!
I would've used grubberfly's elegy, since you can still use it at 1 mask with fury of the fallen.
technically if you can get grubberfly's elegy to double hit that would increase dps however: landing double hits with grubberfly's is extremely inconsistent so very very hard to get an "average" and make it into a number!

you can deal a lot more DPS by alternating between flukenest casts and nail hits
in this case the build would be: flukenest, shaman, strength, fury and some 2 notch summon
also flukenest alone can deal 1000+ damage in a single cast on rare occasions (like when hornet 2 slides down the wall in her godhome arena)
I may revisit this some time and test the effects of spell weaving for dps - however flukenest in particular is hard to factor in as it can be a bit of a wild card on how much damage its dealing through the multi hit glitch. I like your thinking though its definitely interesting to consider!

How did you keep your health at 1 mask and get the bonus masks?? Did you go around to collect those so you can keep your health low??

You should use the infinite charm notch mod with that so you can see what the max damage would be with every single damage boosting charm AND all the health boosting charms that interact with abyssal bloom

Never seen this channel before, but this is really interesting content, loved the video. I'll definitely stick around. Something I haven't yet seen mentioned in the comments is the Transcendence mod which adds Lemm's Strength which can add up to 43 extra base nail damage and Florist's Blessing which just triples nail damage. Very nutty.
If you replace grim child with elegy wouldn’t that do more dps?
If you could get double hits with it - yes... sorta? but its so spaghetti and inconsistent to get double hits that even I decided not to count it!
@@Vegathron if you go close up to the enemy, both your nail and you beam wave hit meaning a double hit for a regular nail slab

@@ilikepigs7937 it's not as easy as you say though. Some enemies it's easier than others but even then the spacing must be just right. Trust me I did a lot of testing trying to figure just that very thing out when making the grubberflies elegy deep dive! An example of how finicky it is: you can be the exact same distance from an enemy - and depending on what frame of its attack it's currently in can decide if a double hit occurs or not. It's really weird coding I think 🤔

Really like the comparison visuals on this one, but I will now boycott unbreakable heart forever for beating sharp shadow by like 3% dps in this scenario. Unfortunate that I wasn't right with the 420 dps guess though but getting like 700 dps by cheating definitely makes up for that
Can I tell you a story about those visuals. Its my 1st time messing with a 3D scene. to do that, took as long as the entire rest of the video lmao T.T but now I get how to do it at least (and I am so glad you like it after all that haha!) TBH the 420 guess wasn't too far off, especially if that weird interaction didn't turbo charge the numbers!
