Just purchased Apple Watch 8. It’s my first ever. I’m a senior and needed the fall detection feature/emergency response. Love that it has the alarm feature in the morning.
My Series 3 still works fine, so I can’t see any reason to buy a new watch every year or even every other year. Of course, I will buy a new watch when it offers a new feature of particular importance to me. I bought the aluminum version, but think that paying more for the stainless steel version next time can be justified more easily because I don’t update the watch very often.
I also have the aluminum series 3. I don't see a reason to upgrade it, besides the fact that there will be no more watchOS updates available to the series 3 from now on. So if it's not broken, why upgrade?😂
I’ve had the series 4 since launch and have used it everyday since then. Needless to say, it still works flawlessly. Still has 89% battery health. Gonna hold onto it as long as it continues being able to track my exercises. I think people upgrade for the sake of upgrading 🤷🏽♂️
I went from the original Apple Watch to a 41 MM base series 8 GPS in aluminum. My original Apple Watch held up well and way beyond what I expected when the battery died last month. I saw no need to have a cell plan as I always have my phone with me and so it made no sense. I did use a 10% discount for being a veteran. It way faster and has more features then what I had before and since I had to go on some medications because of a minor issue with my heart I wanted something to track my EGC and blood oxygen levels which the original did not have. I only upgraded because my original Apple Watch battery finally did die and the old watch was battered by my hobbies in my shop as a retired mechanic. All I expect out of these watches is about 4 years. I got 7 out of my last one but that was pure luck on my part.
I just upgraded to the Series 8 from the Series 4 and I am so happy! The weight of the watch feels expensive. I think I waited for the right moment to upgrade.
Hello, Zollo. I follow you with love from Romania and I appreciate all your work. Could you please help me with the dial you use on the apple watch? I really like how it looks, but I can't find it
I have series 5. With the new update os9 the watch still works perfect!!! There is no need for buying series 8 maybe later the ultra just for the bigger battery and screen.
Definitely curious about the Ultra - is it worth it for someone who doesn't do those extreme sports/outdoors things? How much bigger does it feel on the wrist? Will I bang it into stuff more easily than I do my current Apple Watch (which I have a case on because I bang it into stuff all the time). Scratch resistant? Tell us all the things...as I know you will. 👍
Well the Ultra is so gigantic and if you don’t use the watch while extreme sporting (still not a good choice because of the price en big screen that can break) it is not a good investment for om you I think.
@@stabilozz Maybe not but I'm not sure. As Aaron pointed out in this video, you can pay about the same for the regular 8 if so equipped. Also saw another video where the guy was making the case for the Ultra, saying it is the one everyone should get. So, it's all perspective and opinion. Curious Aaron's take on it when he has one in-hand.
You need a large wrist to carry it off. My wrists are too skinny. It looks comical. Hopefully next year a smaller and cheaper non cellular version is launched
I want the Gold version of the apple watch with gold band, and as there is no real difference in anything between series 7 and 8, I think i would go for the Series 7 Gold SS with the gold band and try to find a good deal on it, would be cheaper, and higher quality than the base series 8

Had the series 4 for a few years until a few months a go. Really held up well! Also had battery health at 95%. Awesome watch! However, I’m pretty sure my toddler threw it in the trash. And I took the trash out without knowing 😢😂. Got the 41 mm series 8 with GPS. And I love it! The always on feature works great for me and the battery time really holds up!
I have a watch series 5 and as I suffer from Asthma I was considering getting a 8 or 7 if discounted. Does anybody know how reliable the oxygen monitor is? 😊
I had a huge upgrade from the series 3 44 mm to the series 8 45mm I’m really happy I made that upgrade due to the increase of features it got with my fav feature Always on display
I’ve had a series 5… and have found no big gleaming reason to ever upgrade. I was hoping the rumors were true for the Apple Watch to match the lines of the iPhone and be more squarish. But since it wasn’t and the watches literally the same since the series 4… I’ll stick with my 5🤷🏼♂️
I would love to have the stainless steel version as my next watch because I hate the aluminum for its super scratchy screen. I tried several cases or screen protectors and didnt like any of them. So naked is the only way for me. However, in Latvia it is not easy to buy a stainless steel version. We dont have an official Apple store here. We have 3 authorised resellers but none of them offer anything above aluminum for Series 8. We can buy Ultra for 999EUR but Im not interested. Too sporty for me. So I remain with Series 5 for now.
Thanks for the video. I don’t need to upgrade from my 7. Thought the 8 was going to be able to track blood sugar. I would like the link to the charger you use. Thanks.
Do you think I should get the 41mm or 45mm? My wrist measurement is about 185mm. Also do you think I should consider the SE? The only features that I want out of the series 8 is the bigger, always on display.
Now that they ditched the Apple Watch Edition with the Series 8 in favor of the Apple Watch Ultra, I'm really happy I got a Series 7 Apple Watch Edition as I really love the titanium finish, but I'm not a huge fan of the bulky design of the Apple Watch Ultra.
I went from a 4 to a 7 last year, so I definitely won’t be, I think I’ll get the 10 or X when that comes out in a couple of years, they’ll probably keep some bigger updates and redesign for that.
I upgraded from the series 5 40mm in space grey to the series 8 45mm ss graphite. When I purchased the series 5 I was new to Apple products and didn’t know what to expect. This year I have been focused on health and fitness. I noticed the series 5 seemed small compared to my friends watches. The smaller touch points really started to annoy me while logging sets during my workout. So i upgraded for the larger screen size. I love it. I would not have upgraded had I purchased the larger series 5 in the 1st place.
Same as 7 I got it last year from the 3 but only thing I pre ordered was the AirPods Pro YOU wouldn’t have scratched anything if you had a case and screen protector on

If you have the series 7, absolutely no point getting the series 8. And the ultra looks awful plus almost $1000.. same phones too as last year, this year is a joke for Apple and they’re laughing at people buying this year.
I did read somewhere (can't remember where) that Apple may in time push out with a WatchOS update a separate temperature app for the Series 8, Ultra models.

Hi Aaron!! I'm currently holding onto my Series 4 that I bought since Feb 2018, but I want to ask if you think the Series 8 is a good upgrade from the Series 4. Personally, the watch still is great and works well just that the battery life has taken quite a hit. Do you think I should hold onto it for one more year, get the Series 7 or get the latest one?
I had the 1st Gen Apple Watch. It fell apart two years ago and i immediately replaced it with a series 6, 40mm, black Aluminum. Hope this one lasts 2 more years 😂

Dear Sir Let me correct you this does not have bluetooth5.3 please check the apple site on uktra has..please update or correct me if am wrong Thank You
Honestly on my perspective, if your Apple Watch is already giving you problems with battery maybe you should change it, but if battery still good just wait for the series 9 or get series 7, series 8 is honestly just a repackage of series 7 with 1 extra feature for women and 5.3 Bluetooth but honestly is not big of a deal
I upgraded my series 5 to a series 8 a few days ago. Its a decent upgrade but it honestly doesn't bring that much new to the table. The biggest upgrade is the larger display, SP02 sensor, and fast charging (because it lets me do sleep tracking now). So honestly unless you feel that those three features are missing for you I would skip this model. For me, I bought it so that I could give my series 5 to my buddy who cant afford an apple watch. So I think it was worth it to me and the new features are welcome (especially the larger screen while doing swimming workouts).

My Series 3 42mm Cellular is still working great 4 years and 3 months after I had purchased. No issues whatsoever until now. Battery life about 1.5 days if I don’t it for workout. Undecided whether to upgrade now although it’s very tempting with the software upgrade no longer supported.
Also I’m very curious what the battery will do from day to day use. If it’s 1,5 day it is a no go for me. Look at Garmin, that watch you can wear for more than 2 weeks before needing a recharge😅
Do you think Bluetooth 5.3 will make much of a difference when using the series 8 with an iPhone 14 Pro and beats studio buds which support Bluetooth 5.2?
