The only way to balance a 1/2 mana dork for 1 would be to make it cost (b) tap for 1 green and lose 1 life, maybe 2. Otherwise anything else would be objectively worse like a 2 mana dork or (g) for a (g) would be broken. Or (g) tap for (b) would not be playable
@@I_Punch_Demons they made delighted halfling in the exact same set. The set literally designed to make elves playable and they flopped so hard. You'd think the LotR deck would have had good elves for modern... but wotc has their head so far up their own butt they make orcish archers better than elvish ones and even make better mana dorks with Hobbits than they do with elves, which is their whole Schick in mtg! If black can rip two cards out of your hand turn 1 for 1 mana with a 3/2 menace body, then they can make a one cost elf mana dork with 2 toughness
I have such a love/hate relationship with elves. The deck is cool and I love tribal but good lord is watching people play Solitaire in modern incredibly unfun. The wincon depends on hitting certain draws too so you have to let them play out their own single player game to see if you lose or not.
Idk if you have tried out the timeless amulet deck that spike was playing a while back but I must say it is so fun. Finally an amulet deck without prime time 😂. Id definitely recommend trying it out if you are looking to race Nadu and storm decks.
Skemfar shadow mage is a better option. It's 1 more mana but it's a chord for the card anyways and it gets around one ring. It also lets you gain life instead if needed.
@@Kyouto_c 6 mana sacrifice maybe a nettle sentinel or eladamri for at most two to three cards. this is darn near card disadvantage at that point. I think this deck should go back to playing what it used to play like more elvish visionary and cloudstone curio and just go infinite.
The new cards are a step in the right direction but we really need some 1/2 mana dorks to survive the bowmasters
