Personally I think 99% of the time it’s not trolling.
Seth never trolls. Magic players can't read. And if you can't read, you don't have a hope of getting the pronunciation correct.

What I wanna know is, who is this Collector that was able to get Emrakul into a cage in the first place. I sure hope we acquired his Cage through legitimate means, cause I don't want him coming for me.
Also, Seth is literally the only MTG content creator that can get me to watch MTGO play. I wouldn't suffer through that for anyone else.
The true lethal is not Emrakul but the humans we cast along the way

Anyone else notice the different wording on newer hideaway cards? It's wild that original pre-errata Hideaway has so much baggage. Hideaway caused the permanent to enter tapped, no matter what permanent you put it on. And if it somehow didn't (like Spelunking) then it just doesn't hideaway. It also was always 4 cards.

If you change emrakul to a different white bomb like avacyn/iona/emissary/moonshaker you can at least pitch it to solitude but emrakul definitely feels more fun

Collector's Cage feels like a sort of Collective Company.
I mean, it’s serving a very different purpose than CoCo
@@thedude5able digging several cards deep, letting you choose from a selection, and then putting a creature into play - often at instant speed? Totally different.
It's ceiling is radically higher but it's less consistent gas.
Getting a big hit on cage is kinda broken, balanced by needing more setup and getting luckier.

@@ezramiller8936 nope, an ability is not a spell. Oblivion Ring style effects get through "protection from colored spells" because they're abilities, not spells

13:55 while this only would’ve worked if they still blocked with the meddling mage (which they might not have if you still had 2 cards in hand), keeping the inspector in hand would’ve let you solitude post combat.
will definitely be trying this out, windbrisk is such a nostalgic card for me
I think Enduring Bondwarden is really interesting for Collector's Cage humans. Super versatile in immediately or eventually hitting Coven.
Awesome deck :) maybe replace Emrakul with something you can pitch to solitude, so it's not a completely dead draw? Iona? Idk what white cards are best to cheat out. Probably Iona.
Iona is probably the best, but she's not really great. There aren't a ton of good creatures for white to cheat out

Collector's Cage in an Urza's Saga shell.
Saga finds Brainstone to set up the card you want under the cage.
I've been seeing CC go off turn 3 consistently with thoptors and green dorks. One of em was this convoluted omniscience, getting spells from outside the game, exchange graveyard and hand, loose half life storm thing.
It's cool to see Solar Flare still around.

13:30 TBH that would have kinda was the obvious call when they already saw 2 otherworldly lights.
That last game they can still solitude ephemerate. They put the evoke trigger last on the stack exile thalia, ephemerate, and exile something else.
The way I think you should take this deck, is to swap out the Emrakuls for something like split cards, or adventure cards, cards where you can reasonably cast one side of them without needing to cheat them but can put them under the Collector's Cage to cheat out the other side. Maybe go White-Black and play Valki?
ZNR spell lands, especially the white one and maybe the green one seem good. Not as flashy but they can take up land spots so you're not sacrificing deck consistency
sweet deck! Maybe there is another big spell that is a better fail case than emrakul if it ends up in your hand, something actually castable late-game or at least pitchable to solitude.
Could Moonshaker Cavalry work?
This deck will be much better in a few months when brainstorm is modern legal

This is definitely not how I remember Eldrazi and Taxes....
You definitely could've gotten cage and activated M1G1. 4 mana + Hideaway land, tap 2 for Lieutenant, tap 1 + hideaway land to activate, then tap the last plains to activate the cage.
So excited to see some non-arena gameplay!

43:06 I’m not the best with strategy of this game so maybe I missed something, but couldn’t Seth attack with both creatures, Adeline makes a token, that’s three creatures attacked, use three creatures attack to activate the land to play emrakul, since it’s cast get a second turn, attack clears most of the opponents board then win?
No, because of elesh norn. That token goes to graveyard before Seth gets priority

42:30 you can evoke to hit Iona correct? Evoke wouldnt be blocked by Iona since it's not cast?
Evoke is an alternate cost but it still counts as cast unfortunately
The evoke reminder text states "you may cast this card for its evoke cost, if you do, sacrifice it when it enters the battlefield" so, still is casting.
If you're wondering if the title is deceptive... Turn 3 Emrakul happens in match 5.

Green White could be interesting. You could use the 0/1 mana dork with exalted. Could be good to ramp and have a 0 power creature that can also pump another creature

In match 4 does the token created by Adeline count toward the number of creatures that attacked or not? If yes, then you could have activated Windbrisk Heights still and potentially won?
No, Adeline's token enters 'attacking', so it never actually 'attacked' (it wasn't declared as an attacker). It's a subtle difference but often important to cases like this. See Rule 508.4 "Such creatures are “attacking” but, for the purposes of trigger events and effects, they never “attacked.”"

End of match 3, couldnt he still have gotten the emrakul by attacking with the 2 creatures then getting the token which dies immediately but was still attacking for the third creature?
Wouldnt a bounce land add some consistency to the deck? This way you can drop the hideaway land again if you fail to find an emrakul
Windbrisk heights as a tapland already slows you down enough. More taplands is not a good idea.

I think it wouldn't work. Windrbrisk Height ask of you to "have attacked with 3 or more creatures" as in "declared 3 or more creatures as attackers", the token from Adeline is put in play attacking but is never declared as attacker

Why use Horizon Canopy instead of Silent Clearing? One less life lost for Dismember, whereas green is useless
I have an idea for a silly standart brew: you know the new judith, shes probably more of a commander, but what of you could play commander in standart?? Because: there are 2 1mana deal 1 damage to every enemy creature cards currently legal (end the festivities, tectonic hazard), which are board wipes when shes out, and theres corrupted conviction for the good ol value train, while you ping you opponent bc you can just sac your imps to the card draws.. now, i'm n standart player or declbuilding expert, but it sounds cool and i would really want to try it out, but i have no wildcards 😂😂

One the of the issues I see is that your trying to play this like a humans deck... If you look at Aspiring Spikes build its more of a combo deck that tries to kill the opponent on T3 more consistently but with a backup plan of playing a lot of little creatures

No it won't. Hideaway does cast, it just casts from exile while ignoring mana cost, things Containment Priest doesn't care about.
i dont understand why you lost match 3. You attack with adeline, warden, and adeline creates a creature token attacking. That makes 3 creatures and then just activate windbrisk heights in second main??
