That Conda should’ve lasted some time after those shields went off I think. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Conda has the most hull out the Vette and Cutter and should be built to withstand hull damage bc the Conda has the lowest shields out of the three

the anaconda has more potential damage, then the type 10 above the anaconda. depending on the loadout (if you where to theoretically fill all hardpoints with the same weapon type), the cutter also has more damage output than the corvette. for example an all multi cutter will out damage an all multi corvette.
Unfortunately it is mostly Jousting, with the winner being who can turn in to the other faster, unless you can turn fast enough you orbit them with vertical or horizontal thrusting and rotating but this is tough. its kind of like fencing, the ultimate 1v1 dueling. it will look both flashy and bland and the winner is in the nuanced details. the reality of space combat is kinda boring, its not atmospheric flying with potential energy and air speed and other complex physics of air resistance and thrust direction etc. this is why they put in the cqc and ship-launched fighters to get that faster paced dog fighting feel! it's just sad engineering is too good AND too grindy so most of us stopped playing, me included...until recently. im super excited to try to get back into it with other ppl with 4 new ships coming this year and powerplay redesign. i hope they make engineering less grindy and unbalance some things lol
There are a couple other things to look at in the fight besides jousting. Did you notice that there was a couple times the Corvette got underneath the Anaconda and pinned its nose against the bottom? It meant that the Anaconda could not maneuver into firing position, and the Corvette got a LOT of free shots. If the Corvette had. It been able to maneuver in that way, I expect it would have been much closer. The shield bank was very well-timed, meaning the Corvette had more time up on their shields, prolonging their defenses. Often the bigger number ship wins, but if you pay close attention you can see certain maneuvering that affects the outcome, even on the big ships.

Those are HUGE multicannons, that means they are the highest tiers of multicannons, the Corvette has 2 huge-sized hardpoint slots to fit them
