The only one I found that could replace my iPhone is the Pixel 8 Pro. I didn't find the same problems with it that I find with Android smartphones. The voice command works perfectly (unlike other Androids where, for some reason, I can never get the voice command to work on the Gboard keyboard). Plus, when setting up a new phone, you can have an exact copy of your old Pixel, just like you do with a new iPhone.
This isn't the case with Samsung, etc., where you have to put all the apps back into folders again, reorganize your folders, etc.
In the end, I found the photo and video quality to be less good than on the iPhone, so I kept my iPhone 15 Pro Max and returned the Pixel. But now, I'm looking forward to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. I'll be very happy to see Google reclaim its crown as the king of photography.
They have the means and the talent; I don't know what's missing for them to achieve it.
Having a disability, voice command allows me to write very quickly without getting exhausted, so for me, it's essential. Moreover, I don't understand why, when copying data from an old Android smartphone to a new one, you don't get an exact copy of what you had on the old one. You have to reorganize everything, recreate folders from scratch, etc. It's a basic feature, and Android is advanced enough to have this kind of functionality. I'll never understand.
Nice device just not something I would give up my S 23 Ultra or iPhone 15 Pro Max for. Honestly I don't think I would trade my 23 Ultra in an even swap. That 10X lens has been clutch quite few times

500£ for the regular Samsung Galaxy S24 - 500£ and traded in a broken 8 year old phone for 100£ .
So a total of 400£ , that's insane , 7 years of support for 400£ !
That's because you got the exynos chip. In the regular s24 in the UK. That ship is garbage. I would get the s24 ultra that way you'll have the Snapdragon
When Samsung does this stuff they nerf the trade in credit. My iPhone 15 pro was 750 and now with the double storage thing, it’s 500
Had the 24 Ultra.... sent it back. It felt like carrying around a coffee table in my pocket :) Excellent phone just too big for me to lug around all day. Oddly the Fold 5 which weighs more is much easier to put in your pocket.🤷♀
In 7 years when the s24 gets its last update for android this phone will be like a s8 performance wise. Only difference will be it'll have the current operating system software.

iPhone 15PM trade in credit went from $700 to $600.
When are you comparing it to? I think it was about the same when I compared the deal from the preorder deal compared to now. I was trading in Note 20 Ultra which at preorder had a value of $600, I think it's valued at $550 or $500 now.

@@Bamboosh00ts The preorder might be the best deals, I can only imagine that they want to reward the early adopters. Reward the early adopters and they can show great sales numbers. Overall Samsung still has great deals over the year still.

sorry I have a question, I basically use s21 ultra and s24 ultra at the same time, and o find the s21 ultra has brighter screen and louder speakers. I find this really weird, but it can be due to settings

They had a deal on the first day of their discover event for the double storage upgrade and trade in credit and free buds pro 2. They aren't going to give as much credit if you have a fold you can get more trade in credit towards a fold 5 and likely the fold 6. Even if the credit trade in with folds isn't the best it's not the worst way to escape the folds and go over to the s24 ultra if that's what you want. These deals aren't bad and tempting.
No one is going to keep a phone for 7 years and I'm sure after about 2 or 3 years the processor that's in the s24 ultra is going to be ancient by what the current standards of the time are
disagree about the chipset, the 8 gen 2 is still relevant and is seen in modern flagship phones even though it is well over a year old.
The majority of the worlds population will never afford to buy a phone like that brand new.
But they will be able to buy it 3-4 years later . And the 7 years of support will come quite handy.
Disagree....I am using a s9 phone still and love it. There are no leaps and bounds in improvement anymore. Even a2018 device is plenty good today so by that measure s24 ultra should do well till 2030 easy

Maybe it's just me but it seems like Samsung gives less trade-in credit than the previous years. When I bought my Z Fold I got like $1000 bucks off and they don't even give $750 trade-in value for a $2k device?
I picked up a brand new S24 Ultra last week and I was wrong, I admit it. It's so much better than I expected!! Cameras are way better over S23 Ultra much better detailed images and processing

I use an iPhone 15 pro max and an apple watch ultra 2. Yesterday I added the S24 Ultra to my devices that I use daily. This screen is amazing. It doesn't hurt my eyes nearly as bad as my iPhone.
I can't express how good the trade in deals are when it comes to Samsung. I've learned to trade in right when the new flagships come out, in the end you get the best deal out there.
Btw the s24 ultra is an awesome phone, been my main driver since the day it came out.

@@TechOdyssey well I love the new form factor and zoom / macro of the xperia. But I read that the camera sensors of the tele and ultrawide are very outdated and inferior to the s24u. But the S24 has better resolution, smaller bezels and longer updates. Also it is 400 Euro cheaper . But the white colour of the Xperia is so beautiful and the 5 single lenses of the s24 ultra look not very appealing to me. I like small camera bumps. I also don't need an s pen or AI features and some samsung apps like the store annoy me. But I read that the Xperia does not have a sony music and picture app. So I really am torn between those two and maybe I should wait a year longer...?
You should do a video on whether it's worth upgrading from the s23 ultra with this deal
