I’m 20 and I’ve never felt so lost and I’ve been like this for 2 years. I was lost, didn’t know what to do, was lazy, was victimizing myself, didn’t know what I want to have as a career, was afraid of chaos, was afraid to struggle, was afraid to take responsibility, was afraid to be an adult. The main problem was that I didn’t know how to be this person I wanted to be, or how to start being responsible and which pathway was the right way. Then about two or three months ago I ran into Jordan B Peterson then those small words of encouragement made me tear up and cry because I never knew I needed so little words of encouragement. Jordan B Peterson truly turned my life around and for the better, he really saved my life, and is a father figure to me. My whole life in my family I have been the oldest and was raised by a single mother, so it was impossible for me to learn from a older role model, how to do things I didn’t know, I had to figure things out by myself but was so afraid to do so in doing things wrong. I took the easy way which was do nothing since doing nothing is easier than doing something. I spent my time in my room being lazy and afraid of the world. Then Jordan B Peterson taught me to be a better person, how to take responsibility, how to be productive, and not be afraid for chaos and tragedy and to prepared for it. In my moments that I was lost and in a dark place Jordan B Peterson was the light in the dark room I was in, and I’m glad to say over the time of three months listening to his lectures and buying his book my life has changed for the better, yet there is more to learn. All thanks to Jordan B Peterson, the hero, role model, and father figure I didn’t know I needed. My life is better and thanks to this extraordinary man, may he continue to live for years bringing light and hope into darkness and doubt for those who are lost.

My 5 rules for a stronger mentality Rule #1: Love yourself: Treat yourself like someone you care for, respect yourself, always put your happiness, peace of mind and emotional stability first. Rule#2: you're initially a loner: You dont need others' blessings to live happily. Your selfworth, selfesteem & emotional state are not a function of other people's opinions, behaviours & attitudes. Never beg for attention, approval nor appreciation. Dont stress yourself to please others, and do not change the way you are to suit others' expectations. Rule#3: never doubt yourself: No one is superiour or better than you, Never alow another human being to make you feel or think less of yourself nor disrespect you in any way, weither it is through words or negative attitude. Work silently on your imperfections and care more about how you are going to be tomorrow. Rule#4: focus on your goals & growth: Always add goals to your list and be consistent with them, be with people who contribute to your growth and never with those who influence you negatively. Think of every experience & interaction you have as a way into improvement and learning, analyze the great attributes of everyone you interact with, then try your best to embrace and add them to your character. Rule#5: love is wise & hatered is foolish: Stay away from envy and jalousy, be genuinly happy for the success of others and help them whenever you can. Don't compare yourself to others, love others so you can love yourself, and love yourself so you can love others.
My advice to people is that Never Ever get stuck in life and expect it to fix itself. In life, if you stop moving forward, you are good as dead. I have made countless mistakes just by remaining ideal in my life.

Man this made me really cry. Going through a break up from someone i truly love and realizing im dealing with alot of depression/anxiety/stress and working on defeating my bad habit that ruined my relationship. Wanting to feel a purpose and get motivation to work on myself and have goals without letting my own mind bring me down.
I love everything Jordan Peterson says about improving your life, but for me the hardest part about actually doing it is doing it with diligent consistency.
I had this problem, what i realized was that i needed to solve issues i had, demons haunting me to say so. Relationship with my mother, my father, with my own self, with ethics and morals, after i cleared my mind i could focus on college really well and didn't feel miserable but accomplished after studying for 48 hours a week every week.
I used to come here and listen to these videos at nights whenever I felt alone or perhaps lonely. It was a relief from time to time but I've come to a conclusion by the time. "Life is as meaningful as you fulfil yourself" That is why you get sad or mad and literary seeking for peace, putting your concern at ease and you trying trying and trying but you often break down and crawl toward distractions like p*rn, s*x, or cigar and any other sorts of addiction which it could even be eating food or not carrying about self and then, at the end of the day you feel impurity, defiled, self-loathing. We're all different but still yet have similarities. Make mistakes as soon as possible. Then you'll start learning and bettering yourself and Be unique and stay better. Love you, love yourself. Beloved
"ask yourself, what remarkably stupid things am I doing on a regular basis, to absolutely screw up my life?" That's one hell of a question worth thinking about.
Worrying about my step granddaughter being over fed. Her parents think it's cute that she is only 5 years old and is twice the size she should be. And that is making me gain weight my self. It's interesting because he talks about (in his personality lectures and probably elsewhere) how the mind can only focus on so much at a time and it tunes out the rest. So when you have a goal you will see the way and most of everything else dissolves. (Your) Reality literally begins to show you a path toward your goals.
Good insight. Or explanation of an insight. It explains a lot. It makes sense of the so-called "Law of Attraction" by putting it in terms of evolutionary and neural psychology.

If you constantly dissect anything it becomes meaningless because the small pieces seem to have no relationship to you or to each other. The only meaning is the successes or failures which reflect back that which you've invested. Asking yourself what something means often puts you above, ahead and outside of yourself rather than in yourself moving upwards through the experience of tuning in to evolving and self betterment. The body, mind and spirit must be united and integrated. The mind asking why refuses the other two by refusing to take responsibility for the experience. Things are what they are and the brain denies their quality and character and calls them arbitrary abstractions. Maybe the world isn't wrong, maybe it's the brain that has gone wrong in refusing that which is. That which is already meaningful before the brain asked the question and remains so after it.

I took a chance and started listening to some of his lectures and I was blown away. They're not for everybody but for whom they apply they're extremely powerful.
I've learned a lot from Jordan Peterson. " Clean up your room " was probably one of the simplest and best things he's ever said. His knowledge of Psychology is deep and impressive. This is difficult to say, but at this point he appears to be addicted to the feeling he gets from playing the part of a public intellectual. His admirable communication skills and psychological insights have been overtaken by a form of prolix, intellectual narcissism that goes on and on without a comma. He deserves a lot of credit for helping many people and challenging tired ideas, but could really do with a nice shave from Occam's Razor.
Jordan Peterson is phenomenally important to me. I don’t follow his directions as much as I wish I did, and that’s ok, but notable. I had to stop this video at 23 seconds in to do exactly what he suggested. We don’t do this nearly enough, and it’s a lot of what I think limits our growth. I’m binging his talks right now, but it’s so important to- as your listening- actually stop and process the ideas and directions. I love this man

Treat yourself like someone you care for, respect yourself, always put your happiness, peace of mind and emotional stability first.
Rule#2: you're initially a loner:
You dont need others' blessings to live happily. Your selfworth, selfesteem & emotional state are not a function of other people's opinions, behaviours & attitudes. Never beg for attention, approval nor appreciation. Dont stress yourself to please others, and do not change the way you are to suit others' expectations.
Rule#3: never doubt yourself:
No one is superiour or better than you, Never alow another human being to make you feel or think less of yourself nor disrespect you in any way, weither it is through words or negative attitude. Work silently on your imperfections and care more about how you are going to be tomorrow.
Rule#4: focus on your goals & growth:
Always add goals to your list and be consistent with them, be with people who contribute to your growth and never with those who influence you negatively. Think of every experience & interaction you have as a way into improvement and learning, analyze the great attributes of everyone you interact with, then try your best to embrace and add them to your character.
Rule#5: love is wise & hatered is foolish:
Stay away from envy and jalousy, be genuinly happy for the success of others and help them whenever you can. Don't compare yourself to others, love others so you can love yourself, and love yourself so you can love others.
Thanks man Great Advice
That was a great summarization. I'm going to copy it

I never can understand how people can call him a “nazi” he’s a brilliant independent thinker who is somehow also extremely compassionate about his fellow man he’s a father figure many men didn’t have growing up & a overall teacher for anyone that wants their life to be better he’s helped changed my life in many ways……thank you Dr. Peterson
The haters are the ones who want to control you. Jordan is explaining how to take control of yourself. Hence the hate.

"Before you even attempt to try and fix the world, you must try to fix yourself first."

Instant gratification is an inevitable product of the world we live it. Unfortunately success still mandates patience and sacrifices.
Delayed gratification has served me well. This is not a concept that serves the PTB. The punishment and abuse has been harsh by those that feel entitled to treasures without delay. I am a very patient man and that has paved my way. 👀🐡🌿
What are the things you have sacrificed for your success?
Exactly. The human species has to start being honest with itself to see how much time it’s stupidly wasting.
What makes it challenging for you to stay consistent?
I had this problem, what i realized was that i needed to solve issues i had, demons haunting me to say so. Relationship with my mother, my father, with my own self, with ethics and morals, after i cleared my mind i could focus on college really well and didn't feel miserable but accomplished after studying for 48 hours a week every week.
I used to come here and listen to these videos at nights whenever I felt alone or perhaps lonely. It was a relief from time to time but I've come to a conclusion by the time. "Life is as meaningful as you fulfil yourself"
That is why you get sad or mad and literary seeking for peace, putting your concern at ease and you trying trying and trying but you often break down and crawl toward distractions like p*rn, s*x, or cigar and any other sorts of addiction which it could even be eating food or not carrying about self and then, at the end of the day you feel impurity, defiled, self-loathing. We're all different but still yet have similarities. Make mistakes as soon as possible. Then you'll start learning and bettering yourself and Be unique and stay better. Love you, love yourself. Beloved
He sounds and teaches like a parent we wish we had!
"ask yourself, what remarkably stupid things am I doing on a regular basis, to absolutely screw up my life?"
That's one hell of a question worth thinking about.
Worrying about my step granddaughter being over fed. Her parents think it's cute that she is only 5 years old and is twice the size she should be. And that is making me gain weight my self. Just like when I was in Highschool and my friends got pimples then I would get pimples when I rarely got pimples.

It's impressive the amount of life knowledge that the first 3 minutes have. You could build a great life around that first 3 minutes.
"The world shifts itself around your aim."- Dr J.B Peterson. Can we keep that in mind always?
It's interesting because he talks about (in his personality lectures and probably elsewhere) how the mind can only focus on so much at a time and it tunes out the rest. So when you have a goal you will see the way and most of everything else dissolves. (Your) Reality literally begins to show you a path toward your goals.

1. Read your birth chart. You will need to know your birthdate, birth place and time of birth. Search for astrology reports and pick a website like astrologycafe.com. look on the site map for free astrology reports and click on, fill in info. You will read unique info only for you and somethings will resonate, somethings will not. it's fYI.
2. Emotions are energy-in-motion. Learn to control your emotions and use them productively. Learn about your Chakra system and learn to meditate. Learn deep breathing and how to decalcify your pineal gland. These things will help your emotional health.
Hope this helps.
Start down the path no one can do it for you
One incredible thing about JPB (among the many) is that you don't have to put much faith in what he says, because his teachings work so amazingly well when you put them in practice. It's incredible how he's changed my life for the better.
This man is one of the most humble people I've ever encountered.
I like the part about the "aim of life".
Dont let the fear of doing something wrong or the weight of the decision cause you to delay acting. Do something. Make a choice and act.

Professor Jordan we hope you have a healthy recovery. Your work has made an impact on so many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Dr. I hope your recovery is fast. We need you to help us navigate this tumultuous time.
What an example for men everywhere. I love Dr. Peterson

I really find this guy to be respectable. I sure do love respectable people. He also made me cry because I haven't come across a character that was as in tune as my uncle who unfairly died young. It is just so hard to find any people anymore that are at one with the universe...or who are who they are and do who they are...and are a character... instead everyone is a college cookie cutter or worse a social media addict. Anyway, he just reminded me of real people and they are very rare.
