Haha I love your reaction to the carlton theme. Don't know why you gave it 6/10 but you're right, if you lose to carlton at any point that theme will irritate the opposing team/fans and I love it being a carlton fan myself.
Geelong is a major regional city of Victoria, about a hour drive from Melbourne. Their mascot is Cat and why is called Geelong “Cats” in the song it says down at “Kardinia Park” which is home ground for the Geelong football club. Oh we are the mighty mighty GEELONG!!!
You should check out the state competitions. SANFL (South Australian National Football League) WAFL (West Australian Football League) VFL (Victorian Football League) TSL (Tasmanian State League) NTFL (Northern Territory Football League)
west coast have had more success over their history but they have had a really bad patch over the last few years of finishing either at the bottom of the ladder or close to it, while fremantle just missed out on finals this year. that being said west coast are a rich club with a lot of members and resources, they are getting a new coach sometime soon and they have one of the best young players in the competition in harley reid, so theoretically they should start to improve. also i just want to say the vast majority of these songs are based on existing ones so saint kilda aren't the only onea doing it. adelaides song is based on the us marines hymn, brisbanes is based on la marseillaise (french national anthem), carltons is based on an old blackface song which is... interesting..., hawthorns is yankee doodle dandy, mebournes is an american patriotic song, freos is a communist song (that did not originally use that much electric guitar), etc etc
Fremantle joined the AFL in 1995 and have never won a premiership. Their only Grand Final in 2013 being a loss to Hawthorn. West Coast joined the AFL (then the VFL) in 1987 and have won 4 premierships in 1992, 1994, 2006 and 2018.
The winning team's song is played at the final whistle. Remember you're going to have 25- 50 thousand fans singing along. ☮️ Go Eagles! 🦅 Careful what you say guys, this sport is a religion in Australia and fans are hard-core!
Carlton song sounds so somber after all those upbeat ones. The melbourne demons song had a bit of Auld Lang syne in it, maybe thats why it sounded familiar. You should rank the songs when the boys sing it after a win. 😊
Most of the songs are corny and old fashioned to be honest because they have been around forever. They mean a lot to the fans though especially after a close win when it's the sweetest song you've ever heard.

I’m a cat and hubby is a blues boy, we cheer each others teams unless they are playing off each other, then it’s game on!
