Shane Warne's accuracy is what makes him the greatest spin bowler ever. All of those deliveries are extremely difficult to land on a spot consistently and this guys does it 98% of the time. It's unbelievable.
Is he better than muttiah.
@@bijendrakarki1860yes Shane Warne is the king of spin bowling but...
Mutiah muralitharan is the GOD OF SPIN BOWILING ... He is incomparable nobody can bowl the other one delivery like him!! P:
@@bijendrakarki1860 You can't compare an off-spinner to a leg-spinner. It just isn't right, because the challenges are different. Leg spinners by default (since it is wrist based) get a lot of spin and variations but struggle for accuracy, warne was an accurate leg spinner. Off-spinners by default (since it is finger spin) have a lot of accuracy but struggle with amount of spin and variations. Muttiah could really spin it even though he was a finger spinner, and could also bowl a legal doosra so had variations. So, both are GOATs in their respective arts.
@@bijendrakarki1860 Murali is one kind, right arm (wrist) off spinner. He is talented but Warne is a freak..
@@bijendrakarki1860 of course.
The only person qualified enough to give a tutorial on such a complex topic. The REAL King. Legendary Warnie.
*one of the few persons 👍
Murali and Shane are kings.
@@sasidharvivek5817 not in leg spin bowling I think.
@@shubhamingale3901 yes....I am murali..😂🤣
Warne credits his early coach in Terry Jenner with much of his learing and ability to ply his trade. Australian spinner from the 1930's, HOF member Clarrie Grimmett, had a Warne like career statistically and is considered a master and the person who first developed the "flipper"
Literally every cricket fan in India will be familiar with Australian and British accents. More so Australians as viewers need to know what they are sledging 😂
Exactly!
It's not aa easy as Shane is making it to be , he's literally a GOAT
*was 🥀💔
Next one should be fast swing bowling and reverse swing. I’m sure you guys will love it as it involves some aerodynamics that pitchers use in baseball ⚾️😬
Dayle Steyn has a video on it... It's very good
Jimmy anderson's video wud be nice..
learning from Shane Warne is like trying to do PhD before starting kindergarten...
The couldn't have been a better person to teach you leg spin than the god of spin😍
'Good' or 'God'?
God 😂😂
The wrong one or googly means the ball will spin in the opposite direction with the same leg spin qction , so instead of leg spin ( spinning towards yoir right ) it will be off spim ( spinning towards your left ).
Now to react to Murlidharan the legend in off spin
Accurate googlies are bowled by Kumble, He used only two fingers to hold the ball both sides, thumb and middle and very slight deviation would make the batsman confuse. Barely have Index finger on the seam to provide direction.
After the video
Rick : alright imma see how the leg spin freakin works *practices it*
Korbin with the new perfected accent : Olroit mate I’ll woatch yew dew it, MATE!
Rick comes back with a twisted wrist.
Korbin comes back with a twisted tongue.
🤣
How ironic ? The intro scene from Warne shows him bowling a No ball😂😁😀 and he keeps continuing doing that.
This video is all about grips and delivering variations... 🙄
I also noticed that...😂🤣
There is nothing ironic in this. Stop using the word ironic wrongly.
@@prashantsharma2912 Ironic means " happening in a way contrary to what is expected and thereby causing amusement because of this act ".
Shane Warne's act perfectly fits the descriprion of Irony. So, yes , please learn the meaning of Irony and its uses in sentences before u blurt out .
,@@kirtigupta9753I perfectly know the meaning of irony, it would be ironic if you would've said that how ironic of him to bowl no-balls in practice yet he never bowled a single no-ball in his entire career but that is also not true cause he bowled quite a few no-balls in his career so it is not ironic if he bowled some no balls in practise. It would've been ironic if you would've said that how ironic of him to bowl no-ball at practice yet no other bowls a no-ball at practice, but that is also not true cause every bowler bowls no balls at practice. So, yes it is strange and amusing how every bowler bowls no ball at practice but not ironic.
This man is literally Bible of spin bowling : The Magician Shane Warne
By the way it is only leg spin which is by far hardest art of spin bowling
There are two other types: off-spinner & orthodox left arm spinner
It took him 3 to 7 years to learn flipper....talking about Warne.
Leg spin is actually the most difficult type of bowling. Try the easier ones like off spin or inswing
He is one of the GOAT of cricket.... loved across the cricketing world...
One of the BIGGEST difference in baseball and cricket is - You get only ONE CHANCE as a batter in cricket. One little lapse of concentration or misjudgememt and you're out!!
With baseball batting is much more difficult though. The cylindrical bat greatly reduces the area of proper contact with the ball whereas with a flat cricket bat there is a huge amount of area on the bat to have a proper connection with the ball. I live in the US and have tried a baseball bat and its very very difficult to get a good shot out of that
@@harshal9368 Fully agree that it's difficult to hit with baseball bat but you only need one clean strike and you get a home run. That's good enough.
In cricket one 6 for a batsman means almost nothing, even in T20.
@@gunjanpaliwal2918 That is true! The rewards for being able to get a clean hit are very different for both the games. Cricket more exciting but that is just my opinion
@@harshal9368 I second that opinion. Cheers!
Very unscientific to even suggest. So why is a cricket batting average of 40 to 50 or higher considered to be successful whereas the benchmark for a baseball batter is 0.300. that is averaging to hit safely just 30% of the at bats. Your reference is totallly irrelevant.
It’s not only spin that made him a legend, it was the drift on his leg spin that was so amazing.
Yeah! Drift is sooooo underrated.
correct. I agree with your statement. well pointed out.
Now let's head on to the off spin Maestro , Muttiah Muralidharan 🙏
Warnie was and always will be a legend of Aussie cricket and his off field escapades are folklore here in Oz
RIP champion.
'Kachra' was the King of all legendary spinners and he has 15 variety of spin!!
True 😂
😂😂
Oh my God! He was the legend. Sadly he is no more. RIP Warnie.
Great to hear your genuine enthusiasm for leg spin. This tutorial is a treat, Warne being a true legend and master. Leg spin technique obviously goes further than this, you could liken it to a golf swing. One very important thing that Warnie has mentioned for the leg break is that the ball has to come 'up' and out of the hand on release. I would highly recommend focusing on this to novices learning leg spin. Flight is everything to getting a batsman out. If you can achieve the revolutions combined with speed, flight that goes above the eye line of the batsman is very difficult to face. By the way, you nailed the Aussie accent at around 10:30, specifically, Victorian accent where myself and Warnie are from.
So you get to know how he took more than 1000 International wickets. Also, he dated Liz Hurley. He sure did spin a lot of balls. 🙂
He didn't talk about the deadliest ball for a leg spinner " The Googlie "
The "wrong'un" is the googly or the doosra.
the wrong'un is also called googlie
I thought wrong'un is a different bowl
Rick kinda hit the nail on the head there, with the Boxing vs MMA analogy.
Although the semantics seem the same, the frameworks around which the games exist are poles apart.
R.I.P Shane Warne. The greatest spin bowler of all time.
EVERY WORST CRICKETER CAN PLAY BASEBALL BUT NOT A SINGLE LEGEND BASEBALL PLAYER CAN NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO HIT A SWING BOWLER LIKE MURLITHARAN
Swing bowler?
There is so much wrong with your statement. I really doubt you watch or understand cricket.
@Rick: Most bowlers have to develop each delivery to disguise under same action, so that batsman won't know when they bowl it. So batsman might play wrong and might get out.
Developing means learn to execute those deliveries with full control, right line and length (where you pitch the ball). It doesn't necessarily mean they invented it.
To a man with such wholesome knowledge of leg spin bowling and with soooooooooo many variations for all kinds of pitches and batsmen, Shane Warne ... A big salute !
And the fact that Sachin Tendulkar was brutal to this man every time he played him ... tell you a lot about Sachin Sir !
Legendry indian Baller Anil kumble was the master of flipper. It comes slowly in air and gain speed after pitching
cricket is a highly technical game. from the toss the end of the game, the game is intensely technical.
Rip Shane Warne 🥺
Much love from India 🇮🇳❤️
Thank you for reacting to video link I've provided ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️there are other links too in the same comment. You'll find it useful too 😁 as you've said you guys wanted to see the rotation of the ball I've mentioned this video at the top of previous comment 🤗
Legendary Shane 🔥
But pitch plays important role for spinner !
Next react mr360 ab de Villiers (batsman)
Do see Shane vs Sachin post this…one of the best rivalries of all time
This is the Leg Spin ! There's another type called Off Spin.
The man is a genius. A magician explaining his craft. What looks easy in his explanation is something many cannot even emulate, forget mastering or having control. Greatest of all time.

Thank you for inspiring me, Warnie. RIP mate
Now watch any of his wicket taking video . You will be amazed....
Shane Warne is the GOAT of bowlers in cricket IMHO. He is the second highest wicket taker of all time, while playing majority of his matches in unhelpful conditions and competing for wickets against legendary bowlers in his own team. No other bowler compares to him in terms of what he has achieved in a long long career. Also, as demonstrated late in his career and now in commentary, he has a great cricketing mind too, contrary to his "Hollywood" image from his younger days.
And he's no more now. Rip Legend of Spin. 💔
Rest in Peace legend Shane Warne! 🏏
Now you should watch the variations of off spin deliveries
🗣
And this was just leg spin, now off spin.
The first and the most important rule of bowling is that you do not have to bend your elbow while bowling. Your elbow should remain straight. 😊 And this makes bowling like that more difficult .
Only shane can do it. As beginners not easy to practice all his styles. Professionals can pick up and be succesful in some of his styles. He is great...in his presence of mind.
Good Job Guys!!! Finally you guys understood a bit of cricket!
Baseball is a game of power
Cricket is a game of skill
Leg spin is the most difficult art to master in cricket .. and this guy was master of it
I can't believe he's gone. Already miss him.
No Korbin, it's not just the spin.. it's just the LEG spin!
Thanks Thanks😁😁
I was waiting for you guys to react on this. Awesome!
Rick has more knowledge about spin than many people here in india 😂😂
The Legend.. Shane Warne 💫
the man took the art of leg spin to an entire new level
12:05 in cricket the batter has a bit more time than baseball, so they will usually have a shot in mind for each type of delivery bowled at them depending on the fielders' positions. They try and identify "read" the delivery quickly and then get into position to execute their shot. It is about repetition of run scoring rather than looking for that 1 perfect ball because you only have 3 strikes.
The GOAT Shane Warne
Best ever bowler(Spin/pace, ODI/Test both) in the world of cricket . The Original King!!!
King of spin... Is Muttiha muralitharan from srilanka... Magician... Still no1 bowler.. Test cricket and odi cricket...!
Statistics wise, yes !!
But even legends like Sachin and lara have said that "Warne over Murali anyday".
Shane warne Australian cricket legend
ur interest in cricket is quite educational....I didn't know this game was this complex
NO ONE WILL EVER BORN LIKE SHANE WARNE IN FUTURE.. KING OF SPIN 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
You guys appreciate the intricacies of the game. Nice reaction.
Love and respect from Australia 🇦🇺
Learning spin bowling is like learning to finger whistle. When you don't get it, it looks impossible. But once you get it, it's feels amazing.
In baseball, air speed is the only thing to keep in mind. But in Cricket, along with air speed, the 22 yard pitch also plays a big part, because different stadiums have different types of pitches which behave differently for the ball at different times of the day too.
Every spinner has his own technique. Karne,Muralidharan,Kumble, Saqlain, Ashwin, Harbhajan each one of them are different from other.
That was leg spin.
Other types of bowling in cricket-
Off spin
Swing bowling
Seam bowling
China-man
Different Types of deliveries in cricket-
5 were told in the video. Other-
Off spin
Doosra
Carrom ball
Arm ball
In swing
Out swing
Off cutter slower one
Leg cutter slower one
Knuckle ball
Cross seam delivery
Wobbly seam delivery
Scrambled seam delivery
Now these can be bowled on any part of the pitch/ground. It can be -
Full toss
Yorker
Half volley
Length ball
Short ball
Bouncer.
RIP mr. shane warne😔remembering today of osr’s old video of him
Sheding a tear seeing him. Rest in peace champion. No one like him, ever.
Master tutorial from The Master! Miss you Shane ☹️
Warnie had very strong hands and fingers. He could do things with the ball we mortals couldn't. Fielders close to the bat, short leg or silly point, say they could hear the ball hum as it travelled through the air. An old leggie meself, Warnie was the master, he was a bit better than me. In my own favour, I used to signal to the keeper when I was going to bowl the wrong'un or toppie, the flipper was after my time. I particularly enjoyed bowling to left handed batsmen, expecting the ball to pitch and come into the body, only to see it leave the body, that look of consternation was always fun. Had you yanks delayed your departure from the Empire/Commonwealth for a 100 years or so and got to field a Test team, cricket would really be fun.
rick and corbin to backup with that video read this comment carefully. That was just one type of bowler called the LEG SPINNER. he had four por five deliveries. there are LEG SPINNER, OFF SPINNERS, WRIST SPINNERS, MYSTERY SPINNERS, SEAM BOWLERS AND SWING BOWLER. All these type of bowlers have two to three of their own bowls like he has in this video. So that is the variety we are talking about in cricket.
And its just one type of spin... Offspin have its whole different arsenal... And we haven't started the Fast bowling
Tht was Steve Waugh whom you saw in Indian cricket video
This is 1 out of 2 types of spinner. the leg spin. there is another type called off-spin. which opposite to the leg spin. Off-spin goes left to right. you watched a video of R. Ashwin few days back, who is an off-spinner. Shane warne is an leg spinner (turning right to left)
Now you need to watch Sachin vs Shane Warne rivalry 😀
He's my childhood ideal ..I copied his bowling style & it's the easiest bowling action in cricket ..I was nicknamed Warnie in my schooldays..Even today I bowl spin with his action ....Very very saddened by his sudden death ...He is a all time legend of cricket in last 100 yrs ..May his soul rest in peace ..A great loss to world cricket
Yep wow when talking about coming out of the back of the hand, thats why very good wrist spin bowlers are as rare as hens teeth, lots try but to get the accuracy takes a lot of skill and practice. If not accurate they get hammered by the batsmen.
One aspect that you may not have noticed is that right behind the bowler just outside the boundary, there is a movable sight screen (just a plain white one). This is there to help the batsman see the grip, the point of release of the bowl, the spin, etc. The screen is actually moved when the bowler is bowling from the right or left side of the stumps. Sometimes the batsmen can stop the game and make sure the sight screen is moved to the exact location he wants.
Two things make Warnie the GOAT spinner over Murali. 1) Warnie didn't try to conceal his bowling hand in his run up. 2) According to some of the best batters during Warnie's Test playing career, including Brian Lara, Murali's confidence would wane if he did not take early wickets. But Warnie would become more confident as the day progressed.
RIP THE GREATEST SPINNER OF ALL TIME..... NO DEBATE🙌🙌🙌🙌🙏
Guys there is a basic difference between how “Pitchers” bowl in Baseball and how “Bowlers” bowl in cricket. The most essential difference being that in Baseball, the Pitcher when delivering the ball, throws it straight at the batter. The ball DOES NOT come off the ground after bouncing, before the batter tries to connect with it. In cricket, the cricket ball invariably hits the ground once before reaching the batsman. So a cricket ball can be spun/swung/deviated off the pitch (ground), when it behaves and follows the trajectory of the spin that the bowler (like Warne), has imparted on it prior to release. Having said that, in cricket you can bowl a full ball at the batsman without making it pitch (bounce) in front of the batsman, just like pitchers in Baseball do. In cricketing terms, it is called either a Full Toss or a Beamer depending on the height it’s being released from by the bowler during delivery (Delivery by a bowler in cricket is equal to Pitch by a pitcher in Baseball). So, for “sliders” and “curve balls” that the pitcher pitches in Baseball, the trajectory of the ball depends entirely on how the ball spins/deviates/moves through the air as it essentially arrives at the batter without bouncing off the ground. In cricket however, depending on the ground condition, bowlers may generate additional movement / trajectory change off the ground too, so in cricket, the cricket ball can “spun”, “seam” or ‘swing’ in the air and off the ground as well. Good to see ya Yanks loving cricket. Cheers from Bangalore.
Observations and corrections. Firstly, a pitcher does not "throw it straight AT the batter". The interntion is to register a strike by having the pitch pass through some part of the strike zone. There are waste pitches in the game. Seeing that you regognise the cricket ball bounces off the wicket you would recognise that some velocity is also lost which means a ball released at the sme speed will reach a baseball batter quicker. Add to this the fact that a pitcher's stride lessens the distance travelled and it is clear there is less time to react in baseball.
Full tosses and so called beamballs (actually BEAN balls because they are thrown AT the head / bean) arre not the same. A full toss can arrive at the batter anywhere above the ground whereas a bean ball is named such for a reason.
Leg spin is more difficult to control than off spin. And yet Shane Warne didn't give away too many loose deliveries. And to make matters worse, he spun it a mile 😂😂 That made his googly even more lethal if you couldn't pick him.
Shane Warnie undoubtedly the greatest spinner of all time
Now just imagine what ball he can deliver when literally it can go anywhere after bouncing
You got the best person to teach spin to you
I'm seeing the Shane Warne video, he is no more. Leg spin is a art which he based on ur magic in hands. Which is difficult
When he was active, every kid in India wanted to bowl like Shane..
Not just India :) I still spin fruit in my hand with the back of my hand facing myself a few times before eating it nearly 30 years after the 89/90 Ashes
REST IN PEACE LEGEND... cant believe that SHANE WARNE... THE GREAT SHANE WARNE IS NO MORE
Quality content OSR💯
In baseball it's about knowing the aerodynamics of your pitch .... one has to master the speed and the aerodynamics which control the speed of the ball . In Cricket , because the ball hit the ground first one has to control the spin with respect to the ground and how the ground will behave .
So in baseball is all about aerodynamics while in Cricket it's about controlling the ball based on how the ground will behave .
There aint nobody like Shane Warne 👑
There r 2 types of spinners
Shane and murali 🙌
1:32 the man! The Myth! THE LEGEND!!!
besides the conventional leg and off spin, yes different spin bowlers can develop their own variations to bowl!!
Now watch the seamer's tutorial. Then watch off spinner's tutorial and then watch the pacers tutorial.
And then watch different types of ball in terms of pitch length like full toss, yorker, bouncer,
What makes cricket more unpredictable and lethal is the ground element. Please give your reaction on pace bowling in cricket.
Warne is the legend when it comes to leg spin bowling , he could bowl each of these deliveries As good as anyone in the history of cricket ,what a legend ♥️♥️♥️
And it’s just leg spin.. there are more ways of spinning the ball
and this is just for a leg spinner 😜 now we need to show u an off spinner’s variations
