The main reason why I'm such a fan of the Carmen San Diego games is because of the remakes these games got for PC. Both Where in the World and Where in Time got AMAZING remakes from the Learning Company in the late 90's early 2000's and I think THOSE successors are the reason why so many people love the crap out of Carmen.

A quick word about the animated Carmen sandiego TV show: The episode focused around my home state are really accurate (for the time), even going in depth about a common Story.
My mom was an overly dedicated teacher, who literally never left the school until 6 or so. So I spent countless hours in front of the computers in the libraries playing things like Witwicsd, Oregon trail, Amazon trail, Dr quandaries island, night at the museum and the like. You should review The adventures of hyperman, this was one of the best examples of conning kids to learn type vidya games and was really well done. Thanks for the dose of nostalgia Jared

This is why I came to the comments, thank you
Ah! Carmen Sandiego! I *ADORED* that cartoon show as a kid (and yes I LOVED the opening theme too!).
The most memorable cartoons I used to watch every *afternoon* on my local English channel after school were:
1. Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?
2. Jonny Quest.
3. Reboot.
4. Beast Wars.
5. Batman.
6. Street Sharks.
7. Twisted Tales of Felix the cat.
Yes, there were MUCH MORE afternoon cartoons that I watched (*strictly talking about afternoon English cartoon shows* on 1 certain local channel, not all day/channels), but the above were the most memorable afternoon cartoons shows I used to watch on that channel. :]
P.S: I SAW MY COUNTRY'S FLAG AT 06:48! ANYONE ELSE?! XD
I swear someone in Mario in Missing stole the chapel's ceiling.
I personally think the reason why people still know Carmen Sandiego is because of that kickass theme ture!!!!!
