They're NOT oversaturating the series....RE sits on a boat ton of extremely lucrative intellectual property that needs to come into fruition. With regards to story driven games, RE might be the best series in the market as their storylines and characters are so situationally versatile.

I agree with you! I feel they can easily release more, but should careful about the time and consideration put into each one. Also, they should be mindful of the development team (since a lot is outsourced) and the budget. If they do an Outbreak, it should have a good budget because the fandom WILL buy it. No more umbrella corps crap 😂

The tweet from the Wesker VA was a reply to an RE fan saying he was working on a new project with a winky face or something along those lines. I’m sure he has other projects he’s working on but it was definitely a hint at him doing more Wesker.

They aren't over saturating the series, nor would it be a problem. The issue with having focus on 5 development projects is lack of focus and attention, focus on one at a time and give us quality content. Hopefully we don't end up with a pile of crap like the GTA Trilogy remaster was..

RE 4 remake was terrible, OG all the way. RE 3 was even worse only RE 2 remake was decent but still had too much cut contents/changes for my tastes. Hope they focus on RE 9 rather than other Remakes

RE is one of the few series I never want to end. I would be happy if they remade all the older games and I would also be happy if they made new entries.
Its great because they're not afraid of aging their characters. Its been fun playing through the games over the years

Believe it or not, , if Capcom just gives new titles every year , it WOULD oversaturate the franchise even if the content would be fun. The same fate happened with Ubisoft when they started giving assassin's creed titles every year and it's popularity has ever since . This also happened with the Tomb Raider series as the developers started giving away new content every year and it decreased it's popularity also. The same can happen to any game out there including Resident Evil. The better option is releasing DLC's from time to time and Capcom is doing the same. More content would decrease the sales and it would negatively affect the company . And besides , making a games requires time as no one would like an unpolished game such as Cyberpunk. So yeah, let's just wait and enjoy playing other games.

Resident Evil is worth BILLIONS. Capcom wouldnt abandon thay series. Re 4 Remake already sold 6 million in less than a year. Heck even Re 3 Remake is nearing 9 million copies sold.

RE5 is not an outdated game in the slightest. I don’t think Code Veronica is “outdated” either but I just want to see it with awesome graphics while being able to control Claire as she runs away from the Helicopter’s Gatling gun in the opening scene.
5 probably would make the most sense on a fan base level and would be a financial win, but I still think they should go back to the og and remake that again to introduce his beginnings as well as Chris' beginnings but I doubt that will be next. Capcom is great at making RE games but not necessarily smart with the order they make and often leave things open ended and never to be seen from again like Jill grabbing the vial at the end to go after umbrella but then by 4 umbrella is destroyed already.
Jill is the one character powerful enough to off-screen kill Umbrella Corp 😆

How does it make sense to release RE5 remake before Code Veronica? They're going to close Wesker's story then go backwards in narrative with Code Veronica?!
RE2 remake was made before a re1 remake and the GC remake doesn’t count because that fits more of the old RE games timeline and not like in the reimagining timeline.
@@crimsondragon9099 There's a huge difference with narration that I'm talking about. You can play RE2 without having played RE1 and you're not missing much in the way of story. Code Veronica on the other hand builds on the Chris v Wesker storyline. Releasing RE5 remake first is like blowing a title match on a house show - to use professional wrestling terms lol.

It makes way more sense to build context for Wesker in a Code Veronica remake before doing 5. Wesker is important in both. It would be stupid if the first current gen remake they do with Wesker is the one he dies in.

I'm excited to see what's coming in the future for the Resident Evil series, I was really hyped when the Resident Evil 4 Remake first came out and I was amazed with how much improved because of Capcom being able to take the time listen to what fans were saying on what could've been done better especially for the Resident Evil 3 Remake.
If they do remake Code Veronica, I hope they choose the right people to portray Alfred and Alexia. Their ancestor has that connection with Dr Marcus and Oswell Spencer. Such a game cannot be disrespected.

A remake of the first Devil May Cry will be legendary. Probably still one of most memorable game that set the standard for hack & slack action at the time.
Ngl it really bugs me that RE has been getting all these remakes and new games while all DMC has gotten since the 5th game is an anime announcement and a mobile game. That’s it.

If re5 does come out first, they should have code Veronica to be a dlc for players to understand what Chris’s attentions were for the story of re5.

its was hard but not as hard as the original re2 for me never beat that out of every game ive played in the series
@@kaiju-dax6674 got them both , beat them both. been years though since i played them. i did get the PC version OG Re2 running in windows 10 using glide wrapper , and vlc player (for teh invideo video codecs) , i also bought teh xbox 360 online store version of CV. but in both cases i didn't give thema fukll playthrough again yet. .. hmm should go knock the dust of my 360 and hook it up just to replay that. wish i stil ahd the dreamcast version but it was stolen ages ago , and my current dream cast is dead after a lightening storm fried it (serves me right for pluging it directly into the outlet instead of through a surge protector).

It make sense to release that first since it shows weskers character development leading up to the story of re5. That was a decision they made not because of production. They have enough teams to work on good games. Re revs 2 is an example of that

A thorough and complete Code Veronica would be the icing on this cake.
They are on a 2 year cycle right now. Announce then release the following year is good either me. So far it was RE7 in 2017 then RE2 and 3 remake in 2019-2020 then RE8 in 2021 then RE4 in 2023.
If RE5 gets remade, I hope for these.
- Chris keeps his built physique
- Sheva has more compotent AI
- Make the Majini match the documents by making them more fierce
- Adjust the maps to no be so linear (save the ship) like a shooting gallery and let Majini use the environment
- Don't enfeeble Chris and Sheva by mitigating physical attacks
- Keeps the boulder punching for the intent it has, not for meme value that everybody takes it for
- Get rid of the needless cenorship and put the gore and dismemberment back in. Enough with static variable models exploding blood or cutting the camera.
Remaking Onimusha would be amazing! Dino crisis is a must as well.

Re1 remake with these mechanics would be the best game ever
While I love RE5, it would be foolish for Capcom to go for RE5 remake since it's the "grand finale" of Albert Wesker and it would be more credible to work on RE0 & 1 remake (or re-remake in the case of RE1) to build the new Albert Wesker.
It would be wonderful to have a collection of Maximo games. I am eagerly anticipating the upcoming Resident Evil title. I also hope Dino Crisis, Viewtiful Joe, and Lost Planet return someday.

I think they should give the tomb raider 1-3 remaster treatment to the OG REs. I hope they remake CV, and re-release the og as well. They probably will remake 1 as well to make the remake series more consistent. I hope 5 remake doesn't undergo too many politically correct changes, like the mobs not being black anymore or making Sheva ugly or less attractive.
I've beaten every Resident Evil game that has ever been made except for number one I wish they would have a complete remake of the very first game in the style of Resident Evil 2 add third person
Resident Evil have two dynamics right now : news authentic episodes and remakes since REVII and RE2 ❤
So, when you fun with New RE, just after you have REmake, after a another New RE, another REmake, etc.
The dynamics change and alternate.
