Hi Chris. I enjoy your videos and this one is my favourite because it shows how friendly and generous you are. Plus I like seeing your passion and interest in different cuisines. Thanks a lot Chris.
i dont think u r recognised local Malaysia or foreigners bcos we Asian mostly quite similar ..but Local people know either They are Indonesians,Thais,Chinese China or Bangladeshi Nepali Indian India..mostly they are Asian tourists or foreigners working in Malaysia hanging around the KLCC park..Local people hanging around at Mamak Restaurant ...just to remind u ..they are 2 million foreign workers in Malaysia plus the refugees almost 400 thousand....so quite difficult for u to recognise Malaysians or foreigners(asian) only We, Malaysians know it..
Hey Chris, This is Mike. A canadian staying in malaysia for more than 10 years now. Anyways, just to clarify, the other old man that came by to the sugarcane stand, what he meant was he didn't LIE to you not that he didn't like you. his english wasn't that good.. he said " I don't Lie you "
Thanks for clarifying Mike. I hope Chris sees your comment. I'm Malaysian and was taken aback when I thought he said "I didn't like you", because it's sort of out of character for a Malaysian to say something like that to a visitor. When Chris asked him "Why", I think the man said something like, "it's not good to lie", confusing the whole situation even further!😄 Bless you, Chris, for your generosity. I hope it comes back to you ten-fold!
Man Mike thanks a lot brother... seriously! I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to watch the video and leave a great comment. Means a lot to me! I will keep making these great videos for you guys! 🙏🏻

Hello Chris. Welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾 saw you from Solo Channel and tbh I like watching your vlog .. ur so sincere, humble and u do alot donation (giving tips) to our street vendor.. That so sweet of you 🎉🎉
Hey man God Bless U n Family Always for the kind deed you've done to the Sugar Cane vendor. It's a jackpot for the old uncle. I can feel how you felt; great and satisfying feeling yeaaah. I did that kind of "giving more" to others too regardless, and it's a satisfying feeling. You're most WELCOME in Malaysia.
I just watched your video with Kong. I’m a Malaysian living in Florida now. It was heartwarming to see you in Malaysia. You move around with the locals with such ease & kindly. You are humorous & warm. I like your videos. One thing you gotta understand with the locals, is their accents. The so-called drunk guy at the stall, was trying to tell you ‘ I don’t lie to you’ or ‘ why I want to lie others’ about something when he pulled out his local id. You mistook what he said & thought he said ‘I don’t like you’. Also when you say ‘ I invite you’ when you want to buy a drink/food for the locals, the people get confused. Normally when you invite someone, it’s normally to the home. Because what you actually mean is, ‘ I want to buy you a drink or I would like to pay for your food’. You might mistake their accent & some of the locals may not be able to string grammatically correct sentences. Hence, there’s a confusion. It’s a treat watching your adventures. Good luck on your travels.
Kong is the embodiment of Malaysian Hospitality. Very happy to see how much you love and appreciate my homeland. Enjoy your adventure in Malaysia, and hope you'll get to visit other states too!
Get well soon Chris. Probably the heat got to you and made u lost ur voice before. Keep hydrating, and i'm sure everything will be fine. BTW, coconut water is even better than Gatorade to hydrate u :) May u are blessed with all the good in this world for always paying forward when u can. p.s. If u are sleeping with the AC on at ur apartment here, place a glass of water just below the AC unit to keep the air in the room humid. It would help to prevent the dry AC air from drying your throat, which will lead to the lost of voice :)
About that drunk guy. I think what he meant was he didn't "lie" to you about his nationality that he's a Malaysian. That's why he took out his identity card. Not that he doesn't like you. You are such a nice guy. Keep it up Chris.
chris... 2nd misunderstanding, what that little uncle said is "I dont LIE you" or "I didn't lie to you"... because he want to prove that he from malaysia after showing his ID card... not "I dont like you"... excuse his bad or drunk grammar and pronunciation...
